I have been an avid gardener for many years. I previously worked in a greenhouse. And in all my years of experience I have never seen a pair of snips this good! I have been amazed at this little pair! And I've had many pairs by this btand. They've all been good. But these are razor sharp for one thing. I love that about them! You need something razor sharp if you're going to snip off the top of a plant. These do the jod flawlessly! Whatever the job..they're good to go! I don't usually do reviews. But this deserves one! I hope you're as happy with yours as I am with mine! I'm ordering another pair for my outside gardening. And my hubby better keep his hands off both pairs!lol😁❤😁

I have used these micro pruners for years. They might look or feel delicate but trust me these are hard workers. I grow succulents; some are small and delicate and others not so much. They do an excellent job on those. I like to hand trim some of the shrubs in our yard and again these do an amazing job. You can't even find the cuts. It is so much better than having the shrubs chewed with an electric hedger. Cutting flowers is a breeze. I even use them for small woody branches and they manage that chore too. The blades will let you know if you need to pick a heftier cutter. And as far as their durability, the blades will stay sharp for a long time as long as you use them properly. I usually can get a year or even more out of one pair though I alternate. I buy them in multiples since they are so reasonably priced. These are the best that I have found. I must have over a hundred or more pots of succulents on my back patio. These trim leaves and stems and they tidy up whatever needs it. I do not think I have ever had a problem with any of the ones I have owned.

SO useful! Great for cutting herbs, deadheading, and a thousand other little garden tasks. Full-on pruning shears can be overkill, and imprecise, especially with herbs and flowers. These little babies get right in there and cut exactly what you want cut, and no more. This is my second pair, and not because they don't last, but because I lost my first pair! Watch, I'll find it now! I won't care though, having a backup is good. But I bought these asap because I didn't want to do without them. The mechanism is so nice, and easy on my hands which have some joint problems. One of the reasons I chose these originally is because I have a similar Fiskars sewing scissor, and this lived up to that product. Care tip: clean them every time. Don't let sap and juices build up on the blades, and they'll reward you by staying sharp.

These pruners are a fantastic value for the price. I have a pretty extensive terrace garden, and these pruners are perfect for everything from deadheading faded flowers to snipping stems and overeager morning glory vines. The pruners hold up very well, and they have a surprising degree of cutting power given their relatively small size. After two growing seasons of heavy use, they're functioning as well as they did the first time I used them. The edges have retained their sharp, hard quality. ✔ PROS - Excellent power-to-size ratio - Quality handle allows for a good grip even when your hands get sweaty - Perfect for everyday deadheading of flowers and trimming small branches - Well-made product that holds up well with frequent use - Good value ✔ CONS - These pruners won't be able to cut through thickets stems and branches (which of course they aren't intended to) ✔ TIPS - After using the pruners, wipe off the blades with a damp cloth and let them dry for a few minutes before you slip the cover back over the blade. That will help the blades stay sharp and last longer.

I love these non stick coated fiskars. I work at a licensed marijuana producer and my reguar fiskars need to be cleaned every 10 minutes. These really are stick resistant, I used them all day today, about 7 hours of trimming and didnt even have to clean them once. UPDATE: Nonstick coating works great for dried flower but harvesting wet flower definitely gets sticky, but that was to be expected.

I love these! I almost went with the pair that's a few dollars less than these but decided to go with a known brand and I'm glad I did. Don't skimp to save two dollars or so. These pruning sheers are perfect for my needs, houseplant maintance and for succulent maintenance/propagation cuttings. They are a good size, fit in my hand well, aren't bulky or awkward to hold and squeezing handles to snip is smooth and easy on the hand. It includes a blade cover that goes onto the tip for safety. It also has a locking mechanism that slide up on the handle so you can keep it locked when not using. Slide lock back down and it opens with spring mechanism and ready for use (i read a few negative reviews and they all did with the spring but it was like that on all spring loaded pruners I looked at one here so maybe it's a spring problem or maybe it is operator error too) One picture shows size of tool compared to my plastic fork so you have an idea of actual size. The blades slice cleanly, evenly in one fluid motion. Blades are small enough to maneuver thru and around other stems. The design of the tool is nice. It functions very well. Most importantly, it works just as well for a left handed person! The biggest issue for me is not being able to get scissors to cut thru what it is that I am trying to cut and that was my main concern after ordering. Not a problem and I don't know if that's because it's not technically scissors or if it's just designed to work for either hand. I wanted to note that for any lefties. I recommend this product for anyone with light pruning duties because for the price it's an excellent value, it works exceptionally well and you need to stop pruning with you kitchen sheers (lol I have done that for years til now)

These are by far my favorite pruning snips. The tips get into plants to deadhead or trim very readily, without damaging other foliage. They're great for harvesting things like peppers that sometimes tend to cling to the plant stems and damage them when you twist them off; you can get right in there and snip the veggie off without damaging the rest of the plant. They are THE BEST for pruning in an AeroGarden. Note that they are very small, so they don't work for all of your pruning tasks, but for those smaller jobs, they can't be beat. Try not to lose the little cap; the points are not only sharp, but also the pruners won't stay closed without it.

I had purchased a larger pair and scrambled the fact these are the smaller size. They are actually better at small garden tasks, as other reviewers noted : dead-heading, picking flowers, trimming diseased leaves/small stems (always wipe with alcohol between cuts if doing that, and generally smaller non-woody stems to about 1/8 or even 1/4 inch. Woody stems should be much smaller, about the diameter of a regular pencil lead, or a barbecue skewer. This work in my XL hands, though I prefer something a little larger, so I have a larger Barnell set that I love. What I didn't expect is that these fit my 8 year old son's hands perfectly (he's average sized, so it will fit women with small-medium hands well). We have a problem with morning glories, bindweed, and oriental honeysuckle. Except for a really woody honeysuckle base, he can cut all of these with ease, even getting in between the branch of the plant and the vine. Utterly no damage, he just unwinds a portion, clips it with just enough left on to starts unwinding the next section. He's even done this with a wild Black Raspberry our children love, using the blades to keep away from the thorns, like a set of monster cutting tweezers. :). It also comes with a fine plastic tip protector, which lets one of us carry it in their pocket. It has a tremendous potential to get lost, so I wish the had inlcuded an extra one, they must cost fractions of a cent. You can call me "happily surprised".

These are one of the most useful and amazing items I've ever purchased. Among other interests I'm an avid seamstress and crocheter, both of which require the use of scissors of some kind. When it comes to cutting fabric, I rely on my Ginghers (which are heavenly), but for the smaller things -- like snipping thread and clipping yarn ends -- these little snippers are nothing short of fabulous. Not only are they extremely lightweight and easy to handle, but the extremely narrow fine-tip "pruning" point gives me unbelievable control when it's really needed -- like clipping a loose thread from a garment, clipping the yarn end as close as possible after weaving it in, and my personal favorite: cutting felt and flannel with scientific-like precision! I once bought a Betty Lukens bible flannel board set with over 600 little pieces that had to be hand cut out of the flannel they were printed on. If you can picture teeny tiny little hands with even teeny tinier little fingers on many of the people characters, you can imagine what an imposing task this could have been. But with these amazing little snippers and their teeny tiny little amazingly sharp tips, I was able to cut out each and every piece with absolute precision. Quite frankly, I was utterly amazed. Since then I've found more uses for these than I ever dreamed, although I still use them primarily with my sewing and crocheting. Do I love them? Well, let me put it this way: this is the FIFTH pair that I've purchased. I got tired of moving the same pair from here to there depending on my needs so I decided to buy a pair and keep one in each place that I normally would need it. And at the price Amazon offers these for, it was a no brainer. Oh, and you may have noticed I haven't mentioned their pruning capabilities, but that's only because I am not a gardener, sad to say--just never had any luck in that department--but I can only imagine that they probably work beautifully in that regard as well. One last thing to mention: these snippers are made with a sliding orange button that locks the blades closed when not in use -- and I highly recommend taking advantage of it. One of the main reasons these work so beautifully is because the blades are incredibly -- and I do mean incredibly -- sharp. Please be careful! And of course it goes without saying to keep them out of the reach of little ones. That said, should you decide to purchase these, I can't imagine any scenario where you won't be completely happy and satisfied with your purchase. Hope this helps!

Sharp? That got your attention. Good. These shears are small, delicate and sharp. I got these as an indoor gardener to trim and groom a wide range of small, large, flowering, herbaceous and succulent varietals. Comfortable to hold and operate with a spring loaded handle which is terrific. Comes with a plastic sleeve for the tip to protect. Just throw it in the tool box and not worry. That said, I bought these in a store a few years ago and they’ve changed the lock. It was one sided and smooth. Now it’s duel sided and awkward to unlock. Not a deal breaker, just feedback. Definitely recommend.
