Great USB Hub for your Macbook Pro

All ports work as expected. Actually I bought it so that my mac pro can connect with HDMI port of my projector which only originally fit for windows laptop. The hub allowed me to read an SD card and connect to external DVD drive with no problems also. This splitter has all the ports you will ever need to use. Highly recommended.

Solid hub

I use it with my 2016 MacBook pro. Pros Charges my laptop and it allows a second monitor for only one USB C port. I have had an external hard drive, wireless mouse, monitor, micro sd and regular sd card running at once without performance issues. It is small for all the stuff it is able to do. Cons It took awhile for my computer to recognize the sd card the first time. I thought it was broken, but after it recognized the card it has been instant every time after that. Runs a little hot The cord from the hub to the computer is short. It doesn't work well with laptop stands. Great purchase. I had been looking for a long time for something, even planned on purchasing a more expensive system, but this works great.

Awesome product. Very versatile!

This little hub exceeded my expectation in every way. It is small and is feather light. The material is sturdy and the quality is excellent. All of the connectors work as they should on first try after connecting this to my laptop. The USB-C power passes through will no issues at all. This is a super convenient product, having almost every connection you would ever need. I keep this in my laptop case all of the time “just in case”. Even after hours of use the hub is not warm to the touch. Very pleased!

Great quality - great price

This product is perfection. I have been looking for something like this for a while and for the money it is a great deal. I love that I can take pictures with my “fancy” camera and use my iPad instead of my bulky laptop. I can also use this for presentations on the go and cast from any type of storage. It is portable and easy to take in a backpack or even a purse. It has an adapter that is universal and will fit most apple devices or a converter can be used. The quality is great and I look forward to using it for a long time.

If you have a 2018 MacBook Air you need this

After recently getting a new 2018 MacBook Air that has two USB-C connectors as the only ports for external devices, I realized all of my older USB and Thunderbolt dongles were useless without some way to connect to the USB-C on the MBAir. Enter this device! The first test I put it to was connecting to my portable LED projector which has HDMI inputs. There I was in the semi-dark meeting room plugging this 7-in-1 hub into the MacBook Air for the first time thinking there wasn't going to be enough light for me to figure out which port on the adapter was for HDMI. I plugged the adapter into the MacBook and instantly soft blue LED lights shone out from each port. This not only confirmed the hub was connected but also allowed me to immediately see the HDMI port in the darkened room.... Nice! I've only had the Gikersy adapter for a day but last night in the dark room it proved itself. The other ports work as described and allow many other types of devices. Would be nice to have an Ethernet port but I have another adapter for that. Otherwise it works exactly as described to allow many devices to use a single USB-C port now found on many laptops and some projectors.

Simple Lightweight Adapter for the Mac

The adapter is lightweight, has a solid build quality and you wouldn't feel like you are carrying. Checked all the 11 ports and it worked as expected. The speeds were good and i was able to transfer my 30 gigs of content in 5 minutes with micro sd port. The color matches with my mac and this is the perfect item for me after a long search.

I have been looking for a USB-C hub with SD cards reader for home use since I take photos and I have many SD cards to copy. Finally, I found this product. It has not only one, two but THREE SD cards reader. I used to carry 2 card readers with me when I travel but I would need this only now. Speed is awesome. I was thinking it might slow down since there were many devices but it did copy my files as normal SD cards speed. I also own a Samsung SSD for daily backup when travel. I can't imagine it could give me 480MB write speed!!! Pros: 1. Many SD cards ports and USB ports. It is more than enough. 2. Speed is not affected while you are charging your laptop thru. it. 3. Temp. maintains very low and it is just slightly warm. (I have used one which made me feel too hot.) 4. It can be used with iPad. It is a HUGE plus!!!! I can view my pictures thru. SD card. Cons 1. Slightly bigger than the USB hub which attach next to laptop.

Easier than docking ports of yesteryear.

I was looking for a USB-C hub that had more than 2 USB ports. I loved the fact that this one had five. Plus it had two SD and one micro SD. I had just bought several cheap Micro SD cards to use for backup, so that was great. It does take about ten seconds to re-recognize all the devices (keyboard, mouse, external drives, etc) when I plug it back in, but that’s not too bad.
