Great idea!

I've never been happy with the butane torches for lighting barbecues and candles. It seems they are always hard to get started and the flame adjustment is never right. This electric arc lighter is perfect! It uses a very hot blue electric arc to light just about anything. I tried it on candles, paper, cardboard, bbq, gas log and stove. It started everything burning quickly and easily. Just press the button. (There is a safety switch to prevent accidental activation). The flexible gooseneck made it easy to reach down into candle holders, bbq and stove. It uses a rechargeable battery with 5 leds to indicate charge. It should last a long time. It was still on four leds after setting everything in the house on fire. Comes with a USB charging cable in an attractive box. Great for gifts. I plan to buy a bunch of these to give to my friends.

I played with this lighter so much. It was very fun. It lights the candle wicks very easily. Will be great for outside birthday parties. I will not have to worry about the wind blowing it out while I lite the cake candles. Awesome product.

Amazing

I'm so glad that I got this lighter. It makes it easier to light anything. It bends perfectly to light my candles and also great for lighting the burners on my gas stove. I can't wait to use it on the grill! Best of all, it's rechargeable.

Most likely the last electric match you'll need to buy!

This is one of the best "electric matches" we have ever purchased. No more having 10 mostly dead lighters in the junk drawer or wherever else they hide. No more having to refill the one you bought to replace the disposable ones, having lighter fluid drip everywhere and smelling it for days. This little dandy will light the gas burner when the pilot light fails, the grill when the electric ignition rusts shut and candle wicks like nothing else. It's easily charged with the USB dongle provided and a quick flick of the switch you have a heat source. It's much brighter than other plasma style lighters and certainly hotter in my opinion. This should be one of the last lighters you purchase for the foreseeable future, perhaps even ever. We like it so much that we purchased one for my parents and one for our church.

Replaces a traditional stick lighter that blew up

I have always had trouble with the traditional Bic type stick lighters, we even had one blow up because someone left it too close to the fireplace. It sounded like a gunshot and pieces were everywhere. This lighter is much safer, easy to use, bends to allow for odd angles. I like that it is rechargeable. It is kind of cool looking too. I just received it so I don't know how often it will need charging. It does have an on/off switch which may help it keep its charge. I would definitely recommend this lighter because I think it will be much safer than the traditional candle lighter.

what a good product !!

I love this Arc Lighter, excellent design, i really like that it can be recharged with usb, you forget the annoying alkaline replacement batteries, this device is very well presented in an elegant package, this device really achieves its purpose without the risk of and incandescent flame. The kitchen stove ignites immediately after having contact with the arch.

On off switch is nice!

Works great! I really like this because you can recharge it and it has an on off button so it Cannot Accidentally fire. It’s a tiny little volt of electricity that lights the candle and it’s so safe that I let my daughter use it

Nice but not for sensitive ears

The lighter comes nicely packaged with a micro USB cord for charging. It seems fairly well made (not cheap or flimsy). The arc it produces is pretty cool and is great for lighting stubby candle wicks. There is a charge gauge to let you know how much battery life is left. I lost count of how many uses I got before it needed recharged. It then takes about 20 minutes to charge back up. I like not having to deal with butane or lighter fluid, nor is there the waste of disposable lighters. It shouldn't get 5 stars if you have sensitive hearing because the arc also produces a high pitched noise which bothers my dog and children. I can barely hear it unless my head is near the lighter, but they are bothered from across the room. I guess the years of power tools and loud music have taken their toll on my ears. So it's a good buy for mature ears.
