Very solid and more importantly roasts great!

Our first Thanksgiving in the new house with a human size stove and the ability to roast more than a Cornish hen. I eagerly scoured Amazon, reading reviews and comparing prices of roasting pans that were befitting of a traditional holiday feast. Fast forward 6 months and after numerous fantastic roast dinners, I can't say enough about this roasting pan. It feels very solid, it looks great, and food roasts evenly. What surprised me more was how easy it was to clean. It costs a little more than some of the box store brands but the quality is worth it and it should last us for years.

just get the best one available

We spent up on this pan, because we thought this is an investment for life. It's hard to compare this to a pan for 50 bucks less, but our thought was for 50 dollars more, just get the best one available. We've used this many times, and it provides very even heat, has not warped or discolored, and it cleans up very nicely. The roasting rack is excellent for cooking large roasts evenly, and it cleans up well, too. The instructions caution against using no stick sprays, like PAM, so we just rub a very thin layer of oil or olive oil on the surface before using.

Large roasting pan, but the handles save a little space. I have not put it on the burners yet, but that's one of the main reasons I opted for this one. You could put a pretty decent sized turkey in here or a large prime rib. Seems very sturdy and high quality, I expect to have it for decades.

This pan is not made for wimps.

If something can be bent, broken, smashed, made unusable, unrecognizable, or turned into a complete piece of sh*t I will inadvertently find the way to ruin it and over time it will happen. That’s just how I am; I’m hard on stuff I use in the kitchen (and in life in general) so it better be well made. I cook sporting a 45 on my hip – and I’m serious. My philosophy is this; if I accidentally drop something on the floor and it dents the floor then that’s the product for me. And with that in mind, I recently bought this stainless steel Viking bake pan. It fits my requirements perfectly; it’s built like a tank. I finally found my dream pan and this is a piece I’m proud to own. Oh sure, it’s a little bit heavy, but that’s just how quality is; it’s a sacrifice of carrying ease in trade for durability and more upper body strength. Just another sweet evil I suppose, but that’s OK in my book. So needless to say this pan is not made for the typical wimps and whiners who claim to be cooks. Straight out of the box I baked a 22 lb turkey (I always use a turkey bake bag to retain meat moisture) and it turned out to be a delicious beautiful thing. The turkey fit on the included rack although I didn’t really need it. And the handles don’t strain when lifting it out of the oven so there’s no need to support the pan bottom – the gravy drippings won’t spill out. Say goodbye to that old cheap annoying pan-in-a-pan trick for the holidays. And the look is a nice mirror-like stainless steel that goes with every decor – it’s conspicuously handsome to the eye. I have a typical oven size here at home and it fits inside no problem for width and height. I never measure these types of things, I simply adjust the oven racks as needed. This pan is built to outlive you and me and several friends so don’t forget to mention it in your final will and testament; it’s got old fashion last-ability. If you are looking for the ultimate bullet-proof baking pan then you came to the right place – this is the one for you.

Great Price, Great Pan!

We needed a smaller roasting pan because we moved to a home with a smaller oven. This one fits the bill. Great quality, a good DEEP pan, and a very reasonable price.

This is the best roasting pan I've ever used.

I don't have a lot of use for the rack, but the pan itself is outstanding. It's heavy enough to retain heat and distribute it evenly. It isn't so heavy that I have a hard time lugging it around. It's big enough for most anything I want to do. The handles are well constructed; it's easy to get out of the oven while wearing oven mitts.

Excellent Quality!!

This roaster is of excellent quality!! I received it the day before Thanksgiving so was able to use it straight away. My 23-lb turkey fit in it perfectly. Love the rack - it helps hold the turkey in the roaster better. The inward facing handles were a bit of a need to get used to issue, for me anyway. I loved the idea of them not taking up precious space in the oven, but they also made it a bit difficult to get in with oven mitts without getting them messy from the turkey. This may not be an issue when not cooking a large turkey that fills the rack from end to end. I did receive a pan that showed heavy polish marks on the bottom side and after washing the pan before first use it showed a silhouette of a sticker (on the inside bottom and it was fairly large!) but, there was no sticker there! I have no idea what that was all about! It did not effect the cooking process, however. Over-all, it cooked my turkey to glorious perfection, the roaster looks beautiful and is of excellent quality! Aside from the phantom sticker outline it is well worth the money for a quality item that will last a lifetime, if properly cared for.

This is a much better alternative than the cheap flimsy aluminum throwaways. I can take this from the smoker or oven direct to the table.
