Cooling Sensation, Easy to Use, Great Relief!

I just received this today and am so happy to have it! I got it to cover some uncomfortable edges on my new invisible aligners. I tried filing them down, but certain spots still bothered my cheeks and tongue. I got the mint and aloe wax variety, and while it doesn't have much flavor (to me), it creates a really nice cooling sensation when in place that is very comforting to the raw spots in my mouth. I just dab the area I want to apply it dry with a paper towel (or as dry as I can), roll one or two of the little pre-cut squares into the shape I need, and press it against the edge of my aligners where they meet my gums. With this method, it stays in place very well (EDIT 9/21/19: even overnight!). I definitely recommend it!

Pleased

I purchased this for a sharp bit of tooth that was hurting the inside of my cheek. It takes about half of the pre-cut pieces to stick securely and cover the problem area, and once I have it applied it stays just fine through the day as I drink. When I eat it doesn't stay at all, though I wasn't expecting it to anyway and now remove it before chewing anything. The mint taste is pleasant, not too strong to be a problem when drinking most things, but noticeable and likeable if you enjoy a slight wintergreen-like taste and smell. This does seem to fade after time in use, especially if you leave it alone. If you're looking for effective ortho wax and either want or don't mind the mint flavor, this seems a good bang for your buck.

Better than what Ortho gave me

This stuff sticks better than what the Orthodontist office gave me. I love the precut pieces, it is even more convenient than I thought. As a frequent sufferer of trauma induced sores (thanks kids!), I really appreciate the soothing feeling. My only complaint is the flavoring, but not for a good reason. Let me explain, it doesn't bother me until I forget to remove my wax while eating. When you are eating something savory and you suddenly get burst of mint it is very off-putting, though that's my own fault! My old wax just let me eat it with no complaints which supported my bad behavior.

Update: this is my 2nd purchase from this place. Super satisfied. Highly recommended. This time they are the pre cut wax, which I don’t mind. Received them packed and well. Can’t complain, just as described. I have 3 kids with braces and these the were perfect price. I got a total of 6 in my package, fyi they do smell like mint.

Works, but not same as pictured

I use this to smooth a rough area on a tooth until I can get back into dentist to get tooth repaired. The ones I received are the new purple packaging and prescored. It is a little softer than the original. It seems to work, but not what was pictured.

I would of course purchase this wax again!

Trust me I’ve seen the “it tasted like fish” reviews & I disagree with them. Nothing like fish. The mint taste was actually pretty good not to strong or not to light to the point where u can’t taste it at all. I could actually smell the light sent of mint though the box before even opening it. Anyways, at first I was a little worried that the wax was a going to be TOO soft due to the fact that the first time that I touched the wax it was “squishier“ then expect. But it was easy to mold and apply onto my braces wire and to top that after a little time o ft the wax being in my mouth it then harden the way usual dental wax hardens which I really liked.

Smells really good, but it makes my whole cabinet smell

The smell is nice when you open the wax, but now my whole bathroom cabinet smells like this stuff. It seems like it might be fading over time a little bit, or maybe I'm just getting used to it, I don't know. The wax is a bit firmer than what i was using from walgreens, but i like it more since it doesn't move around in my mouth. I also like that I can buy more than 1 or 2 packs at a time! I use this stuff a lot, so it's nice knowing that i don't have to buy more every 2 weeks.

Crazy about wax!

GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had braces put on this is my second go around with braces once as a teenager and now as a mature woman 50 it’s a different experience when you older 😳, however knowing this product is available is beyond comforting. The quality is the main reason for purchase “not all wax is the same” let me repeat “not all wax is the same”. It holds very well to any area on the brace that will relieve discomfort, which results from jagged metal edges that cause scrapes and sores from the braces. The precut is genius you use exactly what’s needed to prevent waste. Definitely recommend!

GREAT for aligners!

I can not recommend these enough! I recent got clear aligners from Smile Direct Club and my aligners we’re cutting up my tongue like no other, even after filing them down. It was so bad I could not even talk for my first 3 days wearing the aligners as my tongue was so sore and I was in constant pain. Thankfully I came across this product and it’s a LIFE SAVER!!!! The wax stays on all day, I can finally talk again and I don’t even feel my aligners or the wax. I could barely taste the mint flavor which wasn’t a big deal to me, I just wanted the pain to be gone and this wax did the trick. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you have pain from aligners!!
