Excellent - no background buzz - be sure to note - this unit is USB powered - no transformer required - use it from TV to my Sennheiser wireless headphones - crystal clear sound transformation from fiber optic to analog.

This worked and did everything it advertised to for a cheap price with Amazon speed and customer service. Just beware that if your output doesn’t have a volume control, you won’t be able to adjust volume which will be really annoying, which is why I ended up getting a similar product to this but much more expensive with a volume knob built in.

My Samsung surround sound was cutting out when I used the optical out from my LG TV. Turns out the optical out on a lot of newer TV does that. Using this device to convert it to RCA solves the problem & I can now listen to surround sound without pauses.

Purchased to connect wireless headphones for TV use. Easy setup, small enough to hide and keep out of site. Arrived quickly.

I recently purchased a set of Logitech z506 5.1 Channel Surround Sound speakers, with no means of connecting them to my TV. A lot of reviews and forums on the speakers suggested there was no way to connect them to a TV. For those that said they were able, they mentioned only being able to get stereo sound, not surround sound. Using this audio converter box, I was able to get the surround sound I wanted. Simply plug the coaxial cable into the back of your TV and the other end into the converter box. Then get yourself a 2 male/2 male RCA cable (here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D5H8P0G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and plug one end into the converter box and the other into your subwoofer. Then turn on your speakers and TV and you'll have yourself crystal clear 5.1 surround. This product really saved me from having to purchase unnecessary cables and needless equipment. 10/10 would highly recommend and buy again.

We bought a new television that's only audio output was optical digital. We have wireless headsets that need RCA input. This adapter worked perfectly to connect the headset base to the television. Seems like sound quality is actually better than with the old television that had RCA output.

I use this to convert a optical out on my Blu-Ray player to RCA to interface with a small soundboard that feeds a stereo sound system for outdoor movies. This was preferred to getting the audio from the projector due to the quirks of my current setup. It was essentially a band-aid, but it worked great. The sound quality is as good as anything else I've run through this particular speaker setup, though it is by no means high-end equipment and I am not an audiophile.

This feels sturdy the plastic is not fiberglass reinforced which would make it much more durable. It works great for tv’s that don’t have an 3.5mm (headphone jack) aux out port so you can plug in headphones to your tv!

The price difference with the Chinese noname is only 1 quarter. Good build quality, powered by USB. The most important thing is the very good quality of the most important Toslink cable. Must buy, if you need such a converter.

If you're looking for a digital to analog RCA converter look no further. I tried a couple other converters that were more expensive and they didn't work. this one works perfectly. I plug the USB power cable into one of my TV USB ports for power. The digital optical cable, included, does the trick.
