Easy to use

I can’t wait to use when I get it.It's very easy to use and can match most of my pan.it is also lightweight and compact and heats up very fast. The temperature was easy to control and made food quickly,after using then it's so easy to clean. Sometimes I have used for simple cooking. like fried rice and eggs .and sometimes I use for hot pot!! so easy, wonderful!

Powerful hotplate

I use this stove everyday.this hot plate is perfect.it has more power than I expected.i am able to cook all the usual stuff I cook and it only takes a little longer in most cases.heats up instantly and keeps the turned on temperature.food does not over burn. Hmmmm... as to the complaint that hotplate gets hot on the bottom and transfers that heat to the countertop....if you’re trying to boil a gallon of water,or cook two quarters of chili,you’ Going to overheat the hotplate ,and it’s going to transfer that heat. And the electric circuit that you plug into is going to have a big effect on the efficiency of this hotplate’s 1500 watts element .if you’re on an electronic circuit in some remote area,or if you’re on a camping trip,for instance,and using a generator for power,you may not be getting enough poking to get 1500 watts out. One final thing ,this hotplate has met all my expectations,so five stars.i will recommend to anyone looking for this item.

Great Electric Burner

We are doing a complete home remodel and we had to set up a temporary kitchen in our home. This has been a life saver and budget saver as we have only eaten out once in the last three weeks as we have no kitchen. It heats up quickly and accurate temperature control. Very happy with the purchase!

Great Product for the low cost!

I bought this hot plate for soldering printed circuit boards (SMD reflow soldering with solder paste). I was concerned about whether or not it would get hot enough since there were no temperatures mentioned in the description but I am happy to report that when fully ON, the temperature reached just over 500 degrees C. Most PCB refolw temps require around 230 degrees Celcius at the peak of the profile so this hot plate is way more than enough to do the job. The #4 position on the control knob runs between 200 and 240 C. The T-stat turns on at about 200 C, then turns off at about 240 C. I will make a microcontrolled On/Off control setup using a 20 amp relay so I can control the soak/reflow profile with a more even temperature. The cast iron plate was glowing cherry red at full on and most of the heat is in the center 2/3 portion which is not ideal so I will make a round 1/4" thick aluminum disc about 9" in diameter so the heat will be more even (since heat spreads quickly through aluminum), However, I may use 1/8" aluminum so it will cool down quicker. I will also try adding some spacers between the plate and the aluminum to provide a little bit of an air gap between the plate and the aluminum, that should help with keeping the temps more even. The last thing is to add a "K" type thermocouple as a probe to be used with my temp gun so I can keep an eye on the actual temps.
