Bought a 5 gallon Poland Spring bottle that has a no-spill lid. That lid seems to be important if not required. Think I recall there being a paper inside the box mentioning it won't work on bottles without such a cap -which are available for both screw and flange top bottles if you need them. I've yet to finish that bottle, but when I do I plan to drag it to my local fresh water spring for a refill and use that water in my tea kettle (beacuse it is an unknown source spring and they can't verify bacterial contamination, etc). I'll update if it fails or needs some special consideration at that point, as essentially it would be akin to a tranfer to another bottle. My main concern was the straw. Yes, you have to pump it a few times to adjust the air pressure in the bottle, which forces the water up. Pump to much and you can overfill your bottle. That is juat the nature of manual water pumps.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! We use to buy bottled water every other day $5 for 24 bottles!! It adds up!!! Now we go and get reverse osmosis water (IT TASTES SO MUCH BETTER IM NEVER GOING BACK!) 5 gallons for $1.50 (refill the bottle) THIS IS ONCE (maybe twice is sick or it’s really hot and we drink more) A WEEK!!! We each have 2 personal water bottles we refill and it’s just amazing!! Less trash, so much less money and my daughter loves her water bottles she picked out.. she refills it perfectly even and she is 6. Best product I’ve bought honestly. We like the hand pump.. if we decide to go camping or the apocalypse happens even.. we don’t need power to get it out of the bottle that’s why we preferred this one to a touch button version.

So I refill a 5 gallon water jug with the hose for my chickens bc the hose doesn’t reach where the coop is. For this purpose it’s perfect. It’s staying outside doesn’t get ruined. But it doesn’t fit snug. And it’s not that easy to pump. But it beats walking back and forth multiple times to fill up the waterers. I would 100% purchase an automatic one if I needed it for in the house or drinking.

I have a water cooler but my family wanted another water dispenser in another room, so this manual water pump was purchased. This little gadget is helpful for my family to have another access with spring bottled water but it's room temperature water. We also bought one when we traveled to Florida in February and rented a house.

It works exactly as it says.

make sure the straw is connected properly or go fishing once below halfway on water jug make sute the cap is on or you will be cleaning the latter seems to be a slow learning process for my teenager

its perfectly fine. works great. the pipe sticks dont fall out if plugged into each other properly. and the size is right for 5 gallon jugs sold at Stop & Shop (not sure jugs sold at other stores are different size, but i think they are all the same)

Easy to use and assemble

We purchase this to take camping with 5 gallon bottles and it was exellent

It basically blows are pressure into the bottle forcing water out. So simple and yet it works well and the amount of water you get with just a few pumps is terrific. Ideal for camping. It is cheaply made so I wouldn't use it for your main water extraction method. Get a gravity fed pot for that.
