These are perfect first scissors! My almost 3 year old is loving them. They cut through her construction paper easily and the spring was really helpful when she was first getting used to cutting.

Perfect for preschoolers

These cut paper but won’t cut other materials (like hair or fabric). They have a sprint mechanism that can be used to help a new learner. Once they get the hang of it, the mechanism can be folded down out of the way so the child can master scissor cutting (without cutting their hair)!!

Perfect 1st pair of scissors!!

These scissors are even better than I expected! They cut paper amazingly well...single sheets and multiple layers (we're able to make a paper snowflake!). I love the option to use the spring to open the scissors for the first uses and then the option to fold it back when my child was ready to be more independent. Would definitely purchase again. Highly recommend!!

Great for left and right hands!

These scissors work great for children who are left-handed and are great for even right-handers to use. They are universal for both and cut paper well. The spring mechanism is a fantastic way to help preschoolers learn how to cut on their own. They’re easy for my 4 year old son to use. He keeps one pair at school and the other pair at home.
