Apprehensive then delighted.
I was apprehensive when I read reviews about condition after shipping, mismatched holes, missing parts, scratched wood etc. Every other solution was so expensive so I decided to take a chance and I ordered two of them and I'm glad I did. The packages arrived without any damage, they were well protected in the packing. No scratches, no mashed corners etc. All the holes matched perfectly. The instructions were plain and well written. I'm not the sharpest saw in the drawer, but it took about 45 minutes to put each of them together. They are on either side of a TV stand and it looks like an entertainment center. The shelves seem well made and I couldn't be happier with them. They were a good buy and I am looking for desk furniture now from the same company.

Extremely satisfied for the price!
I ordered one of these bookcases and was so impressed I ordered a second one! Let's be clear, I'm this impressed because I paid less than $45 a piece for these and they still hold up extremely well despite being made of cheaper material. One is stacked full of books and the other is being used to hold all of my crafting supplies. One reviewer wrote they received one with sawdust still on the boards. One of mine did too, but all it took to remove it was a Swiffer cloth. I also happen to like the smell of saw dust, probably from my dad doing woodworking when I was growing up. I was able to put this together by myself in about an hour. The book shelf came with extra hardware in case any screws get away from you, which a few did for me. I was also able to lift the bookshelf by myself but it's probably safer to use two people. As for the flimsy back, I replaced the backing with fabric and it looks super cool. Again, for less than $45 a piece, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Great Bookcase and Now My Living Room is Complete!
I had one small area for a bookcase to go. My apartment was decorated and beautiful and I love it, but the problem was I needed a bookcase. My original bookcase broke and I needed somewhere to put all my books Though I only had one tiny spot for them to go and this bookcase had to fit. It fit beautifully, but then there was another problem. I have too many books because I love to read. So I had to double up on the shelves and amazingly the shelves are still holding up great! I love them! I don't feel like it will topple over and now I get to see all my books. Now I have to organize my books, yea!

Totally easy to assemble!!
Just for clarification, these are pressed wood (particle board) shelves. So don't expect fancy, expensive, solid wood shelves. That said, these are absolutely phenomenal for the type of shelf that they are. I have bought this type of furniture many times from computer desks to shelves to bookcases and linen cabinets, etc. Of ALL of the ones I have put together over 30+ years, these were the easiest to assemble. The directions were pictures only, but that was all that was needed. The parts were listed clearly and labeled clearly. All of the parts were there and in perfect condition. Of the small parts, such as dowels and screws, there were actually extras which was great in case you misplaced any. I really loved the plastic dowels. They helped to hold the wooden pieces together and made it very easy to then tighten the screws easily. Also, the round plastic tabs designed to hide the screw heads were phenomenal. Usually, these pieces do not snap onto the screw heads effectively and either must be super glued, or they fall off and get lost. The ones in this kit had a long male appendage that snapped completely into a deep female hole that was in the center of the screw heads. They snapped on effectively and I even had to tap them lightly with a hammer to get them on all the way, which made them completely secure once they were attached. The finish on the shelves was perfect without a single scratch or flaw. Once again, these shelves are not prime furniture, but for inexpensive additional shelving, they are perfect. I will always shop for this brand first in the future and will recommend them to friends and family.

Sturdy construction, Great Product
If you don't want to assemble the furniture, don't buy online. This product took a couple hours to put together but I'm not complaining about that! This product was VERY well packaged. In fact, the delivery guy would've had to drop it several times to even come close to damaging it. The product also came with extra hardware in case you lose a piece / you break a piece. There is a fixed shelf as well as the top and bottom. These shelves connect to the sides with dowel rods as well as screws. You will need a screwdriver to put this together (not included). They warn against using power tools, but all I had was my electric so I just turned it off and used it like a manual. I definitely couldn't get the screws in without a tool (not so easy to twist) but I had NO problems using my screwdriver to get them in. Also, when you're screwing the shelf/top/bottom to the sides, don't forget the small pieces that go underneath the top and bottom! You need to make sure those go all the way into the slots on the side (as well as the shelves) before you screw in the sides. It is true, the back is a piece of folded cardboard. The side you see is stained like the wood so unless you're staring at it to see the "fold" you'll never know the difference for the price. The back attaches to the sides with an army of little nails, so do get your hammer ready. You may also want a ruler to measure the distance between the nails if you want to be precise. And you do hammer into the fixed middle shelf so make sure to line up that row of nails so you don't end up just pounding through the cardboard and miss the shelf entirely. Overall I'm very pleased with this product. It's ever-so-slightly wobbly but when I get a chance I'll put some more felt or something underneath one of the feet and I'm sure that will fix that. I would definitely buy this again if I need another bookshelf.

Extremely Satisfactory purchase on a budget
I've had this bookcase for six months now and I have no complaints. It is sturdy, holds a lot of books and other things, and I've moved it around to different places within the room with no issue. It took around 40 minutes to assemble by myself, but I imagine someone more experienced could have assembled it in even less time ( I sort of got stuck at one point ). I'd say that for the price it is of amazing value. Being a college student on a budget means having to give up on quality for price most of the time, but this bookcase doesn't look cheap at all. It fits with other white furniture in my room perfectly and I personally like the size of it because I'm 5'2 and find that I don't have to strain to reach anything. I'm no furniture and/or wood expert, so this is just my opinion: this bookcase isn't the best thing you could get on the market, but an extremely satisfactory and practical buy

OMG MATCHING FABRIC STORAGE BINS!!!
Guys guys guys!!! (Well, girls too. Everyone!) When I purchased this, I went on a limb and got https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B072K548NF?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title too - 2 orders, since there are 3 storage bins per order. I hoped and prayed these bins would fit. THESE BINS ARE PERFECT FOR THIS SHELVING UNIT!!! Seriously, they are snug but not squeezed in. I haven’t put the rope handles on yet, but there is room in the shelf for them to fit comfortably. Yes, the bins hang over the front by about 1/4 an inch, but I’ll take it! I may adjust the shelf spacing later so they are “even”, but it’s been a long day and I’m tired. Had my 17 yr old son assemble the shelving unit, he did great with little poking and prodding. It seems sturdy and well made. There are extra tiny pieces, in case you lose a shelf support bracket or if the brown screw covers break (a few did on me, so... mallet, not hammer). But overall, I’d purchase many of these, just so all my fabric, yarn, and other project items have a home - currently, they are... well, let’s say I’m working on my application to star in the next episode of Hoarders. :)

Heavy package but nice shelves
This was delivered ahead of estimated delivery date. Fortunately I was home and could get the UPS man to set the box inside my front door. I was able to drag it to a place where I could open the box and remove the pieces one by one since it was too heavy for me to carry. Getting the box open was the hardest part! Once that was done, I was able to put it together by myself (I'm a 64yo woman) and had it ready to start placing my items on it within an hour. The case is sturdy and heavy and I think if I put my heavy books on the 2 lower shelves, it won't tip over unless it's purposely pulled on to tip. I don't mind the heavy cardboard back; it looks nice and isn't obviously cardboard as opposed to a wooden back. The size is perfect and cost was reasonable.

Love it! Getting one more
Great little shelf! I had to down size and get a more narrow shelf and this was perfect. It was easy to assemble by my self. I just accidentally put the top piece backwards so take your time and you should have no issues. Make sure you have it close to where you are putting it because it's pretty heavy 👍

Looks great, and Great Value
We got this bookcase in the Royal Cherry. In my opinion, excellent value for the money. One of the few we found that was narrow enough for our needs. Came in without any damage, and nothing missing. This is a pretty heavy item when packed, so could be better with two people. Fairly easy to put together. Standard flat-pack Ikea-like thing. In my view, needs to be anchored to the wall into a stud from the top (comes with a bracket). I always do this with these tall items. Anyone who has does flat-packs will know these items can be a bit unsteady, and most especially if it is pulled forward. One small observation: On some Ikea items I've had, there is a cutout at the bottom in back for flush fitting to the wall to clear the baseboard and shoe molding. That's handy because the item just slides right up the wall. This item was just straight. I have a multi-tool, (like an oscillating power multi-tool that can sort of plunge-saw), so I just sliced out a section of the molding and slid the case in. Otherwise, the case would stick out too far from the wall. Without that multi-tool, the job would have been harder. But really, I have no complaints. (And if you've been looking for an excuse to get an oscillating tool, well, this may be it).
