Worked fine

I bought a new TV and blu-ray player and both come with an optical audio output only. My integrated amp has only one optical audio input. I bought this in the hopes that it would solve my problem. It did just that with out a hitch!

An Easy and Economical Optical Upgrade...

Set-up took less than 5 minutes for this LiNKFOR Switch - Hooked-up the optical out from my HDTV (this optical output is only used for audio from casting youtube videos from my phone or tablet out of my HDTV HDMI input using Chromecast Ultra) and then I hooked-up the optical out from my Chromecast Audio into the LiNKFOR Switch. From there, the one LiNKFOR optical output is fed into the one optical input of my Essence HDACC Preamp/DAC out to my speakers, so I can listen to my Amazon Music casting from my phone or tablet while watching Cablebox/TV video. I have split the HDMI Video and Audio using HDMI switches and splitters from my OPPO Blu-ray player, Cable Box and Amazon Fire TV Stick so that I can also watch TV video and listen to my music via my OPPO USB Thumbdrive and CD's, Essence HDACC and Chromecast Audio. The Remote works well with the IR Receiver Extension Cable to switch on/off and to switch from the first input to the second input of the LiNKFOR. Would Highly Recommend the LiNKFOR Optical Switch for anyone that has the same wants or needs....

Nice device

Not a lot to say, it plugged in and started working correctly right off the bat. The battery in the remote was dead but that's no big deal.

installation was simple. Device works great

Shipment came in on time. Installation was a breeze. Sound quality is better than coming optical coming in from TV. Used the device to optically connect to our DirecTV box. This allowed us to turn off the TV and it improved the sound quality to some degree.
