These two Plugs arrived and were immediately put to work. My electric cooler cable had died. The cable from the cooler is hard wired to the cooler, and the plug was stepped on and fell apart. So, A) need a new plug and B) I hated everytime I stopped the truck I had to pull the plug out or the ice chest drained the battery .... i needed an on/off switch. Purchased a line interrupter on/off Switch from the hardware store (lighting dept) (the kind you would have on a lamp shade for instance) snipped the positive power line, opened the interrupter, stripped the positive to copper wire (1/2") and tightened it to the internal terminal of the interrupter. Snaked the neutral line through the interrupter (obvious what to do). Snipped the red power terminal off the new plug wire, stripped the half inch of insulation off, attached to the terminal inside the interrupter, closed up the interrupter. tried it. WhooHOO. Works. I then used a bunch of electrical tape on either end of the interrupter (keep the wires from easily being pulled apart), plugged it into the truck, flipped the new switch and the Icebox fan ran great, and turned off. I don't have to keep unplugging the Plug from the truck. Great. Simple, took me 20 minutes. I've two electric ice chests (different sizes) and now I'm a "happy camper." ha ha ha

These seemed a little hard to find at the local automotive store. I was skeptical but figured I'd try these & when I got them I could tell just by how they looked and felt that they were quality. I looked the fuseable link too.

Honestly, my only complaint was that I didn't like the crimp connectors. I cut them off and used heat shrink tubing that had the solder already inside so that I could solder and heat shrink the two ends together at the same time. Covered that up with an additional piece of heat shrink tubing for extra insulation/structural support. The job would have been a lot easier if I used a set of helping hands - but that's on me, not the product :)

I needed this to install a +12 VDC line to my 7 pin trailer connector without running a cable to the engine compartment. So I had to solder more wire to its two leads to run down to the connector from the rear 12V supply. Since it will always be inside the car, I don't expect to test the water resistance.

eASY TO USE HOOKED RIGHT UP AND WORKED

Good quality, I use them to provide power via solar panels, the light and fuse provide information and protection in this arrangement

works great. I used there to modify my underwater green light and power livewell bubbler. both came with alligator clips. I wanted to power them from the boats cigarette lighter plug.

Works great for my wideband O2 sensor. I wanted to be able to use the AFR guage in multiple cars for tuning and this was the perfect solution. The plug has a fuse in it already but it was bigger than the fuse needed so i just put a inline fuse that was the size needed.

Had to replace some 12 volt items and it worked perfect. I'm definitely recommend. I have a tendency to break the 12-volt ends of the items that I have so a cheap replacement that is good quality these are them.

Needed to replace the plugs on 2 18V Dewalt chargers. These were the perfect replacement for the damaged plugs. These chargers will recharge Dewalt 18V batteries from a vehicles 12V receptacle.
