This tool has vastly decreased the time and effort it takes to nicely fit base trim to non-perfect corners! I recently installed all new trim and doors in our house, and this was such a blessing! I ordered this specifically for this project, and assumed it would come in handy - but didn’t know to what extent I would use it! I had contemplated using this for measuring inside corners, in order to get a good miter. It works well at that. What I had not contemplated was using this to measure outside corners! Because of the drywall corner bead used on outside corners, they are never 90 degrees. I usually fudge a bit on my cut to compensate, but that is a guessing game. Guess no more with this tool! Batteries were included (and installed) in this tool. I haven’t had to replace them yet, but it looks pretty easy to do. The knob at the pivot allows you to lock the protractor at a fixed angle, which is a nice feature for transferring angles to a work-piece. It came with a nice fabric carrying case. I am sure that there will be countless other woodworking uses that I will find for this through the years. I highly recommend it!

Oh my I love this digital protractor. I've always gone old school with a manual protractor, but I'll never go back after using this. This thing works so well. Make sure to read the instructions as it gives you the specific set up needed to get 0 - 180 and 180-360 measurements. It just has to do with where the two rulers are before you turn the protractor on, but you get the hang of it pretty fast. The protractor is very accurate and makes really quick work of finding the angle needed for cuts. It also has a hold function which is really handy so you can keep the measurements when moving the protractor around. This comes with a great, compact sheath to keep the protractor in when storing it. Very handy to keep the protractor safe without adding bulk. The numbers are really easy to read on the LED and change in real time so you know the angle with every minute movement of the protractor. It also has an auto-off function so it will automatically turn off if you don't use it and leave it on by mistake. Highly recommend to anybody working regularly with angles or at home DIYers.

We have a variety of home improvement projects underway all the time. This digital read out angle measuring device has been indispensable. We have used it on a roof repair, a siding repair, cabinet installation, flooring installation, and for tile installation. This thing makes it a simple matter to accurately measure angles to 0.1 degrees, and to transfer them. If you are a serious DIYer, or even a pro, you will quickly wonder how you ever got by without this.

I'm impressed with this AccuMASTER angle finder. It's sturdily built from thick stainless steel. It has a stated accuracy of +/-0.3 degrees, which is plenty precise (and about as precise as you'll get with an analog protractor and pencil marks). You can manually zero-out the measurement at any angle for relative measurements. The hinge has a tightness-adjustment and you can lock it tight to hold measurements. The 7-inch rulers are long enough to get precise lines without the tool being unwieldy. This uses a single CR2032 battery which is claimed to last for 1000 hours of use. A Maxell battery comes pre-installed (with a little tab you pull out before first use). It's good they included a high-quality name-brand battery and not a cheap knockoff. The battery can easily be removed and replaced without any tools required. There is a printed user's guide included with instructions (and diagrams) in clear English. A soft protective AccuMASTER-branded case is included, which is a nice bonus to help keep the rulers in good condition. The case has a belt loop on the back so you can wear it on your belt if you need regular access to the angle finder on a job site. This is a very high quality tool and should last a long time, so I highly recommend it.

I have to admit, I kinda suck at carpentry, I am a decent plumber and electrician but almost everything I have done in the realm of carpentry has been a disaster and mainly because of the lack of proper tools for someone of limited skills such as myself to cut the diagonals that are always needed in almost any carpentry project but this thing makes it easy for a idiot like me. Turn in on, zero it and then set it for whatever angle you need with amazing precision or measure an angle with that same amount of precision. I can't get any easier. 5 Stars

About 12 years ago I build an annex for my shed, but during that time the side of the shed took a beating in snow, ice, rain and wind; so they need to be replaced. It's an easy job using about a half-dozen 8x1's and nailing them up. The problem is that I need to know the roof's slope angle. Using the AccuMASTER Digital Protractor Angle Finder Ruler makes it easy. I just line up one side with the vertical line, and pivot the other side down of the roof. Then, I push the 'hold' button on the Angle Finder and tighten knob at the intersection of the two sides to keep the same angle. Then I make the cut-line on the side board. Using my miter saw, I can simply use the angle on the Angle Finder's read-out. It comes with a canvas carrying case with a belt-loop you can attach to your utility belt. It makes the job easier and, more importantly, accurate.

As others have already noted, this electronic angle-measuring device for carpentry is well made, of good materials, and works really well. What hasn't been said yet is that its 1/2" LCD display is vastly easier for those with limited eyesight to read and understand than trying to look at the usual tiny markings of a ruler or protractor. Having used a similar electronic device for the past few years to measure inside and outside diameters of lots of things in the shop, I've grown very fond of how easily I can determine exact measurements without having to even look at tiny ruled markings on the device. I also love that this can also do the job of a tri or framing square, while storing easily in much less space. That is becoming important to me as I continue to downsize in retirement. The only caution I'd offer is to remember this device's actual precision is less than its apparent precision. Although it can display precision down to a tenth of a degree, it is only accurate down to a third of a degree. So be sure to round the last digit appropriately. Highly recommended!

Finally, a digital angle finder that is accurate. I make segmented bowls on the lathe and this device is well within it's specs. Don't waste your time. Get this one.

Very happy with this. Provides a quick way to measure angles, with 7" straight edges and nicely marked for most uses. The ability to 'zero' the measurement at any point provides a lot of flexibility, and allows for measuring inside angles and outside angles. Zero it when folded up, you'll get inside. Zero it when opened flat, you'll get outside. Can hold the measure in memory and tightens. Though it doesn't tighten so much it stays rigid, so be careful if you're wanting exactness. Good for general use and a broad range of needs, something to throw in the toolbag.

This digital angle-gauging ruler is absolutely accurate for any angle I want to measure or make: anything from carpentry to metal fabrication. It comes in its own carrying slip on cover and will fit easily into any drawer or tool box. Using the device is intuitive. Just set the digital readout to zero, preferably with the device closed, then adjust it to find the angle of whatever you are working with or to create the desired angle for your project, such as a perfectly mitered picture frame This little tool is a shop and household must-have for me, reliable and precise.
