My last miracast dongle just quit working so I wanted a new one to be able to stream video and audio from my phone and laptop to my TV. My last miracast dongle was the orginal model Foxcesd so I decided to try the upgraded Foxcesd OKcast dongle. It has the same functionality as the last one with three modes: AirPlay mode, Miracast mode and DNLA mode. I simply plugged it to a spare HDMI port on my TV and a USB power source and followed the instructions to get the Wi-Fi connections set up and it immediately worked perfectly. It played YouTube videos and Pandora music without any issues, and I got it to perfectly mirror everything on my iphone 6s display. The mirroring function had very little lag time and is prefectly for quickly showing anything on your phone (such as photos) to the whole family on your big screen TV. The dongle comes with a short USB cable for power that I was able to plug into a USB port I had on an external drive. It also has a button on it to switch modes. Unfortunately, on my TV the button is against my TV so I can only push it with a long skinny screwdriver. I travel internationally and often can’t find many English language TV channels in my hotel room. I am looking forward to taking this small device on all of my trips since most hotels now have flat screen TVs with HDMI ports so it’s simple to plug this in and stream music and videos anywhere in the world.

powerful wireless display dongle

I read a lot of the reviews on this display dongle before buying. I opened the box,did not read the directions. Did not update the software. hooked it up. and my Kindle 8.9 hdx recognized it right away. I selected mirroring and started a movie.the TV. A 4year old Toshiba LCD started playing the movie immediately. of course you do need to hook up the HDMI cable (I had one already). I didn't notice any lag or any other problems. I was approx 8 feet away from the display dongle because that's where I sit when I watching the TV. I don't know if there is a distance limitation. it works and it seems pretty simple to me.it sure beats standing up by the TV with the old HDMI cable connection on the Kindle hd. For me.the 8.9 hdx is perfect for viewing movies when it's just me.but this display dongle makes it nice because my son can sit in papaw's lap and we can pick a movie and watch it from the comfort of the recliner. If you buy a hdx. This display dongle is a necessity.

It's the perfect device to stream everything from my phone to my TV

I was looking for a way to send videos from my Android phone to my 2015 Samsung Smart TV. I use Netflix and my TV has and old, outdated version. I also use Prime Video and Kodi which my TV doesn't have. This Chromcast allows me to watch both of these and more on my TV. It was simple to install. I plugged it into my TV's HDMI socket and the power into my home's AC outlet. Then installed Google Home on my phone and followed the instructions. It took some fiddling with the programs but it works great. I read in one of the other reviews that it didn't work plugging the power cable into the TV's USB port. They were right and wrong. The Chromecast uses a 1 amp power supply. My TV has 2 USB ports; a 1 amp and a 0.5 amp. When I used the 1 amp port, it worked the same as plugging it in to an outlet. Now Netflix works simply as per the instructions. However, to get the others to work needs a little ingenuity. I have an HTC 9 phone, but this should work with others. I start Google Home first. Then go into my phone's settings to where the VPN and data exchange settings are. My phone calls the setting "HTC Connect". It tells the phone where to play the media. When you choose it, it lists the Phone, DNLA devices and the Chromecast. When you pick Chromecast, the phone's screen gets played, in real time, on the TV along with the phone. Now, anything you see on your phone gets played on your TV also. It's like using a phone with a 50 inch screen. Along with movies, you can stream music, photos, games, etc. I will be getting a new phone in a few days and will update these instructions when it arrives. I purchased a new SAMSUNG 9 phone. And it works with Chromecast just like my HTC phone did. You can stream with supported apps like Netflix or share using settings. The setting is under "Connected Devices". It is called "Screen Sharing" and Chromecast is listed like it was on my HTC. Obviously, I cannot promise that it will work with all phones, but it seems likely that it will，It's a very practical product.

This product is suitable for presentation and video communication.

After receiving the product, I used the presentation and video exchange. I can use and synchronize the video with the Apple computer. I am very satisfied with it. I will recommend good friends to buy it.

Have patience when setting up. Use hotspot

It is such a great product! Especially for someone like me that i don't have wifi and or a smart tv. I am about to use my phone to watch youtube, hulu, and netfilx on the tv using my phone. It was a bit difficult to get it set up, eventially i figured out to use my hotspot on my phone to connect to the chromecast. Once i figured that out it is so easy to use! As long as you turn on your hotspot it will automatically connect.Have patience when setting up. Use hotspot.

Excellent product!

This is an excellent product. It will not be superimposed on my Chromecast device. I have looked through many different products that I have purchased and some said that their devices were not available for Netflix or YouTube. I don’t seem to have those issues with Anycast. The overall image quality is great or even better. Some changes have been made to the instructions for set up for Samsung Galaxy S8. In Anycast Mode: 1 for Android, to enable wireless on S8 you must access Anycast through screen mirroring in the settings rather than screen mirroring rather than through screen mirroring wireless display. In DLNA mode you will be asked to press the FN button again. The Anycast app in the Google Play store doesn’t suit me. I tried the Chromecast app on my S8 and it finds my Anycast device. By selecting Anycast as mentioned above there is no need to use QR codes. I’m not sure if this works on other android models, but I hope this will help others with their purchases and set up process.
