Never used one before, will always from here after.

Purchased the Beaver Strop based on promotional to get a knife. I wasn’t really looking for a strop, I had one I made and used a gray powder compound. I received the strop already coated with compound and a stick of replenishing compound. Strop wood is hard and straight. And an excellent size. I was able to use both sides of the face without having to redo the compound. The strop was already completely coated with compound and wrapped in plastic. I have never used a “greasy” compound (I don’t know how else to describe it). I tried it straight on a knife. Then I read some instructions. Once I used in proper order, wet/ dry sandpaper until it was completely sharp. Then Powder stropping compound on regular leather. Then the M7 compound on the finished leather really put a nice polish on the edge. Good thing about the edge shiny and pretty, is that it seems to hold an edge even better than with just a simple powder strop. Excellent product. Well made. Company has been very good to work with. This will now be a part of my regular sharpening and stropping method. I highly recommend it.

Very nice tool, at a good fair price

Nothing complex about this, but it is certainly well made and does a good job. I have used it on wood carving knives and a couple of pocket knives. I also use it to strop a newly sharpened hatchet blade. It has held up very well in this initial uses. I have some other items from BeaverCraft and they are all very well done. I am pleased to have found this brand and given it a try. I have some other carving knives ordered from them now. ...

Their now lying when they say it comes prepared

When I first saw this product I was a bit sceptical about the claims that it would be ready to use out the box and that it wouldn't come with a strope. Lo and behold it did. Bottom line is you get what you pay for and it's good quality.

Excellent quality stropping block

I received my stropping block from BeaverCraft the next day after ordering it. I also got the tool pouch from them. See my other review for that. This stropping block is so perfect and easy to use. It came with a stick of green compound. The leather is smooth and the wood block it's attached to is actually pretty with the BeaverCraft symbol etched into the side. This block will definitely be my new go-to stropping block! Thank you, BeaverCraft, for making good quality products!!

Just the tool you need for stropping to a razor sharp edge.

This is one of those products that just does what it's supposed to do. There are no frills or fancy features. The quality of the product is top-notch. If you need to strop your knives, this is the perfect tool for the job.

Good quality, nice price, fast service. Came with extra compound. Company great to work with - fast response time. Would have liked the item to come with instructions, so I didn’t have to search elsewhere for proper way to use the sharpener. Other than that satisfied.

Next level sharpening

The whetstone got the knives sharp, but the strip takes it to another level of sharpness. If your going to sharpen knives, this is a must

Have used this item for a couple months now and it is wonderful. It make a great addition to any carver or unplugged wood worker. Have purchased several beaver craft products and the value and quality are excellent. Highly recommend their products.

Razor sharpness and polish attainable.

Strop was loaded with compound. I used a few drops of olive oil to better absorb ad smooth out the surface.

Grate strop

As you can see by my pic it’s as long as my hand and it come pre compounded plus the stick. They have grate costumer service on top of it too. I love this stop perfect size for all my carving knifes
