Wow!

I was REALLY surprised by the quality of this instrument for the price. I had bought one previously from another seller but, as expected, that one was cheaply made. I originally ordered this one because I thought I’d like the circular feel in my hands better. Turns out, this one exceeded my expectations. The wood is thick. Much thicker than your run of the mill kalimba. And the sound is so pretty. None of the tines buzzed or needed adjusted. The little mouth of the bear face even resembles mother-of-pearl but I can’t be certain what it is made of. I’m contemplating buying a second to have as a backup Incase something happens to this one. All in all, I love it.

Unique Kalimba for any Age

For my first kalimba, I'm very impressed. Came packaged well in a quality, sturdy case with tuning hammer, cleaning cloth, and instructional booklet with song to play. Fits well in the hand and the wood feels smooth. The bear- shaped design definitely sets it apart from others but is appropriate for children or adults. Very good tone! Although the high e tine needed tuning when I received it and sounded dead with no sustain, we used the hammer and tapped the bridge underneath and it seems to have cleared the problem. It would make a great gift! Love the soothing, rich mellow sound and easy playability. Definitely recommended.

Quality Kalimba, outstanding value for cost

This is an awesome instrument. Just so much fun to play. Only 1 tine was tiny tiny out of tune a 1 tap fix. I’ve played many Kalimba’s just never bought one. Dumb me. Quality was much better than expected. I love its shape vs more rectangular. GREAT 👍 Just can’t describe my pleasure. Thank you so much. 👍✌️

Gift

I opened it to make sure it would fit my Granddaughters hands. Sound was great, even played twinkle twinkle. I would have appreciated a few more songs to try. But it can make beautiful music even without a score to fallow.

I’ve wanted one of these for a while and I’m not disappointed. This Kalimba comes with a pretty nice somewhat hard foam carrying case, a tuning hammer, a starter booklet, stickers to label the tines, and a cleaning cloth. It’s all great quality. Tuning is fairly easy, just a tap up to make the note higher and down to make it lower. Searching online there’s a ton of songs you can learn, though I will admit the tablature takes a little getting used to. I’m pretty impressed with this instrument and everything it comes with. Definitely a good choice for a beginner or advanced player alike.

Exactly what it should be and fun to play.

The first thing I noted when I received my kalimba was the quality of craftsmanship. The wood is pretty dense despite the instrument itself being not much larger than my hand. The keys were definitely tuned properly to open C, and we used the included mallet to play around with alternate tunings as well. It's held every tuning we've set so far perfectly. In addition, the kalimba came with a very nice case, and the actual instrument itself also looks quite nice with that natural wood finish. The complete package does in fact look just like the product page image, so what you see here is definitely what you end up getting. For me, this instrument is more a curiosity overall rather than something I would play daily, but I have already figured out how to incorporate it into two songs I have been working on, and so its usefulness is only limited by your imagination. That said, where this kalimba really shines is with my eight year old, who adores the instrument and can easily tote it around with her everywhere (which she mostly does lol). When I look at the base price and the quality of the instrument and attached goods, I find myself quite pleased with the it and feel you get great value for your cash here. I personally have no issues recommending this for people who enjoy alternate instruments or who simply want to get something fun and reasonably unique for their kids.

EXCELLENT QUALITY!!!

This may be a cute, cuddly teddy bear kalimba... but it's absolutely top quality!!! The key-imprinted tines arrived in perfect tune and ready-to- play. The crisp, clear tones played as well if not better than, my favorite kalimba! In addition, the wonderful protective case was a remarkable addition, considering the price paid! I'm collecting a variety of kalimbas and other meditation instruments to give to our family members for Christmas. In this case, we have 2 grown gals who love koalas, pandas and teddy bears.... this wonderful musical instrument with its easy-to-play, beautiful melodic sounds will steal their hearts!!! I was also surprised by the speedy delivery. 5 STARS FOR A GREAT PURCHASE!!!
