Makes fingerprint reader more reliable!!!

Short summary: Frustrated with S10 fingerprint reader, accidentally peeled a corner of the stock screen protector, needed a replacement screen protector, tried this one and wonderful to discover that it largely resolves the fingerprint reader problem. Now it reads almost first try every time!!! Samsung should have included *THIS* screen protector instead of their crappy one. Long Version: I am overall happy with the S10, but it's been frustrating trying to get the in-screen fingerprint reader to work reliably. I had an S9 before this and that phone's fingerprint reader worked quickly and reliably. Usually by the time I raise the phone to my face, the phone is already unlocked as I quickly touch my index finger to the back fingerprint reader. Not so with the S10. It would take multiple tries to unlock the phone, and the phone would keep asking me to press harder, complaining about no match, and etc. It's been a frustrating week using this new S10. I grazed the corner of the stock screen protector with my nail, and it lifted the corner off, causing some dust to get inside. I bought this screen protector as a replacement. Installation was easy enough since I've installed numerous screen protectors of this type in the past. After the install, I deleted the old fingerprint records and retrained my phone. To my surprise, the phone now unlocks so much more reliably! It now unlocks just about on the first try every time. I am soooooo happy! I am guessing the issue with Samsung's stock screen protector that it is the rigid film type, which has a light adhesive on the back to hold it onto the screen. This light adhesive probably still has tiny pockets of air, which causes the ultrasonic fingerprint reader to not work correctly. The new IQ Shield screen protector is the soft film type, which is installed using a watery solution, thus eliminating all air pockets, and is therefore more "transparent" to the ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Regardless, it's a pleasant surprise that a product fixes a frustrating issue for me. I will not use any other screen protector with this phone from now on!

Adheres well, no loss of input, can't tell its there.

The application was easy. It adheres well and the screen is just as responsive as it was with the pre installed protector. One thing I would like to see is a cleaning pad in the kit. Usually these comes with an OLED/LED cleaning pad that has a solution on it. More in depth review. My pre installed Sammy protector did its job. It was scratched badly and needed to be replaced. The only glass protector certified for the finger print reader is $50 and when that breaks you need to replace it. I chose a film protector since I have used them before and I'm pretty good at installing them. I applied this one following the instructions plus an added step for the curved sides. Once your protector is on, gently continue to apply it to the curved sides. Do this a few dozen times, then using your thumbs on each side hold down a spot for 30 seconds each working your way the way up and down the phone. As the solution dries periodically continue this process for upwards of 1 hr on and off. I'd say I do this about 6-7 times over this hr. When it dries you won't know its there and the edges will be sealed. If this were a flat phone it would be a 10 min install. After that is done, allow another 2 hrs before applying your case. Don't just shove the phone in the case. Gently pry the case open and insert the phone so the case doesn't push the edges.

Spray Installation is Genius!

When it comes to Screen Protectors, most people can't really tell whether the durability of the protector. Whether or not the protector cracks may be due to so many different factors that could be unrelated to the product itself. While I'm confident the IQ shield screen protector is very durable and of top quality (no problems yet), what stood out to me when compared to other products of its kind is the installation process. Most people feel stressed when they're installing their screen protector because they want to get it perfect. Can't have any bubbles, any hairs, nothing! With the spray installation technology, IQ shield actually makes it absolutely fullproof. Spraying the screen protector allows the screen to slide around until you position it perfectly. You can then press out all the bubbles at your own timing, without any stress. Try it for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

Great Screen Protector and Value - Watch a Video If You Never Installed Before

Been using the IQ Shield Screen protectors for many years now. I have them on my personal and my work phone. I even got the protector for my Wife's smart watch. I chose this clear one for my S10 as I watch a ton of video content and didn't want anything interfering with the beautiful infinity display. On my work phone I went with the Matte finish as I love the anti-fingerprint capabilities of it and don't watch much video content on that. This clear one works perfect for the fingerprint scanner and doesn't effect the screen clarity at all! I have a lot of experience with installing these. I recommend watching a video if your not familiar because most of the bad reviews have to do with errors on install / lack of reading the instructions. Make sure to use a lot of the liquid (it's just soapy water) and be generous with it. Then once you have it aligned push out the liquid as you use the microfiber cloth to dry.

Great protection and easy to apply

This screen protector is a hassle-free way to protect your phone. I've used their product on other devices and they have yet again proven to be a great product. Keep your fingers moistened with the solution and even if there are some wet spots, as long as it's aligned and the bubbles are out, those spots will disappear.

Probably the best screen protector I've used

So, over the years, I've used several different brands of screen protectors in several different materials, mostly glass or the hard plastic. This is the first time I've used the liquid skin and I've only had it on for a couple hours now, so let that be known, but it was significantly easier to install than either glass or hard plastic. As I was pushing bubbles out of it, I actually thought I bunched it up and was going to get a nice wrinkle line in it, but I was able to easily smooth it back into place and continue getting the bubble out. It also does not hinder the S10's in-screen fingerprint scanner in the least. Comes with a lifetime warranty, as well as free upgrades should the manufacturer make improvements to the design for your specific model. For $10, you get 2 protectors, but I doubt you'll ever use the second. I will update this review if anything happens that changes my view, or if I have an incident and I will let you all know how it holds up.

You don't need this.....yet

I've used this brand of protectors before with success. It's not that difficult to install if you read the instructions and watch the install video. Over time though, you will notice minute scratches but it doesn't really affect the screen looks. HOWEVER, the Galaxy S10 and S10+ come with a screen protector already on the phone. It's specifically designed to work with the new fingerprint sensor. I'm not sure if this one does or not? I ordered this protector while waiting on the preordered S10, not knowing it would come with a protector. I'll use this protector if the Samsung provided one ever scratches or peels.

Fantastic

I've been using IQ shield screen protectors for my S7, S8 , S9 and now S10 and I will never use another brand. EASY wet installation. No bubble. Sticks to the edges as promised. AND IT DOES SELF-HEAL like they state. Can't say enough about this product. I have a tip that I'd like to pass on to ensure that the curved edge sticks properly at installation. I wrap the phone tightly with Reynolds food plastic wrap to hold down the edges for a couple of hours until dry. this way i can still use the phone while the screen dries and sticks to the curve. Works every time. Buy this product. you won't regret it!

Easy install, lifetime warranty!

I’m hard on my cell phone. I don’t want to look like a clutz, so I ordered the IQ Galaxy S10 screen protector. It arrived today and I’m impressed! The box looks like something I’d pick in a big box store, and it briefly tells you what’s inside. Bonus for the gorilla! Inside, there are cards explaining each individual process.. the lifetime warranty link, how to keep the touch screen sensitivity, etc. It also has a link for very clear, easy steps to put it on your phone, and all the tools to do it. Oh, and 2 of the product itself. There is also a FAQ with questions you might have. Even I can’t mess this up!
