I know that your kid has an imagination. I know that your kids love barn animals. I know that you are typically turned off by the price of Melissa and Doug products. That's why this toy is for you. My little girl as a ton of stuffed animals; these offer just a little bit more interactivity. The stuffed animals are typically organized sitting in a 'classroom' setting while the puppets are the various teachers throughout the school day. Super cute! The fabric is of pretty good quality; better than their other 'appliance' type products which I find to be a ripoff due to their low quality and high price. These are definitely worth what you pay for.

Very sweet set of six puppets, really nice happy faces!

This is a very sweet and cute set of puppets for kids and I'm very pleased that they're larger than I thought they'd be, so they're a lot of fun to play puppet show with. The faces are as cute and happy as you can imagine and I'm going to build some kind of little rack for them so that we can look at them even when they're not in use. Doug and Melissa (the company is only a few towns over from me here in Connecticut) is a great company and I've never been disappointed by one of their toys. These puppets are a HUGE hit.

Way too cute, good size for toddlers or adults!

Really all you have to say is, "Melissa & Doug" and that should be all! We have many Melissa & Doug toys (mostly all wooden) and we love them all, the attention to detail, the quality, the safe non-toxic finishes, etc. These hand puppets do not disappoint! They are great! These are sized well for toddlers as well as adult hands, too. Your kids creativity and imagination will be endless when they try on these farm animal hand puppets! This is an easy 5-star wholesome toy for the entire family!

Most played with toys in our house!

What a great thing to have around our house. I didn't realize what a hit these would be until I gave these to my 3 and 5 year olds who have been playing with them non-stop. They play for hours using their imagination, creating stories and spending more time away from the TV. I never thought of buying puppets before, and I'm so glad I gave these a try. It's now one of our favorite toy items in the house. The horsey is galloping throughout the house with his other farm animals! Such a wonderful item to have around. Just love Melissa & Doug products! Highly recommend!

Fun, expansive set. Packable.

I love this big set of hand puppets! (And so does the kiddo.) They're big enough for adult hands, but not too big for a kid to use. There are so many different barnyard animals that everyone can pick their favorite. It's nice having a big assortment. They're simple but still cute, and seem well made. They're not too bulky, so they're pretty packable. They're great for a kid who loves imaginative play, or who delights in having adults "talk" their toys, which my daughter has loved since she was tiny and still enjoys at 6. The box is meant to form a sort of puppet stage, but it's pretty skimpy, more the appropriate size for stick puppets, so save it for that, and put one of those unaccountably huge Amazon boxes to good use and help them make a proper stage if your kid likes performing.

Three year old loves these hand puppets!

These are great hand puppets! I actually have three different sets with different animals (pet buddies, jungle buddies, and this set--barn buddies) for my three year old and he just loves them. They are well made with soft fabric. Each puppet is brightly colored. I feel these really promote creativity. We have a lot of fun wearing them and making the animals talk. My son will address the puppets by their names and have a full on conversation with them. It's very cute. The puppets are a great size for small hands, but it's rough trying to get my grown hand in the head and tiny arms of the puppet. Oh well, what are you going to do? Even more fun in person

Its hard to imagine using your hands to entertain when they are not attached to a phone or iPad, but believe it or not it can be accomplished with these! You are literally only limited by your imagination. Or your belief in structured and immutable roles for defined types of animals. But other than that the possibilities are endless. These are well made look as realistic as possible while being totally adorable--ie they're each sufficiently different and soft. My niece and I had so much fun my voice got tired from sounds and silliness before she got bored with them. I already ordered two other sets as gifts!

Love these barn yard buddies

I love these barnyard puppets and so do my grandchildren. I had great memories of playing with puppets when I was a kid and so did my kids, so I thought the grandkids would enjoy them. Of course, very helpful when reading to children and to be used as characters. The kids will enjoy putting on their own shows, as well. And, of course, Mr. Rogers had his puppets which helped illustrate his shows. This set of puppets are so well-made and will become loved additions to the playroom or library. I was concerned that the eyes might come off but they seem very secure. This is a box of imagination for all the little people in your home.
