Love it

After shopping around for a while I came across this light. I looked at bigger ones, and one that had adj. arms, and florescent bulbs and, well you get the idea. I'm so GLAD I made the choice to get this one. I really didn't need anything big and bulky, the magnifier is a nice size and the LED lights are nice and bright. I read some reviews on ones that have florescent bulbs, a lot of people said it herd to find replacement bulbs for them and also the "head" is a lot more heaver than an LED so stay in place better and of course LED lights use less power and last a lot longer. Nice Light/Magnifier, good price, fast shipping, a winner.

Its nice to see everything thats infront of me

So after endless searching trying to pick a device in a similar range or category as this one i bought this product. The factors i was keeping in mind where. A large enough lens i could work and navigate through without constantly maneuvering around so i can keep my hands on what i was working on. A large enough goose neck that extends as well as can be manipulated in ways where my hands . arms and tools wouldn't collide when i work on something . a bright spot light that will literary shine and really make my task stand out in front of me without turning on to many surrounding lights . as well has a wall out or usb so i wouldn't have to worry about it dieing and scrambling for batteries. This product hit the mark on each of those keys. The clamp is very strong i had to appy alot of pressure for it to open to the thickness of my table . the base of the neck is heavy so it stays still and the neck is very flexible. The lens is very clear and magnifies those tiny solder points or copper wiring on tiny wires more then my expectations before purchase. I thought with the price it was more so highlighting the very bright led lights and versatile clamp or table top stand. Would recommend to anyone doing small crafts . hobbies. Or fiddling with small components

Best Light!!!

I have been searching for some time for a lamp like this for my elderly mother who loves to paint by number. After several disappointing purchases I luckily found this one and could not be happier. The lamp is sturdy and the light is bright and my mother is extremely happy and uses it on a daily basis. I highly recommended this to anyone looking for a flexible light with a magnifier.

A must have tool!

Just what my 65-year-old eyes need for fine work!! I wear prescription glasses, but sometimes I just can't focus on small, close work. The magnification plus the bright light is perfect for me. Leaves both hands completely free to do detailed work, remove splinters, decipher fine print, etc. The base has a little lip around the edge so small items remain contained as you work and it's heavy enough so it doesn't topple over when the gooseneck is extended. It's also attractive enough that I leave it set up on one corner of my desk where I can just pull it over as needed. Nice to have the extra clamp just in case I need to set it up in an awkward location.

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!

This is better than I had expected! It is exactly what I need. The base is very heavy so it doesn't tip over when the arm is extended outwards and the clip is so strong and has non-slip grips on it. The LED lights are very bright and the magnifying glass is actual glass and is very solid and clear. I make lifelike baby dolls and use a needle to put hair on the vinyl head one strand at a time, which can cause eye strain without good light or magnification. This product has made the process much easier and faster. I have been recommending it to all of my doll-maker friends. (P.S. This is not a sponsored review, I just really like it! LOL)

Love this thing like nothing else!

I flippin love this thing. I have purchased several magnifying glasses over the past few months because I work on small electronics and my eye site has gone south over the past few years. I can’t tell you how many devices I have damaged due to not being able to see properly. I’ve been very dissatisfied with every magnifying glass I e purchased so far until I received this baby. It’s absolutely incredible. I shopped and looked for hours until I came across this Britech unit. I read the specs and it didn’t look to impressive based on the 1.75x magnification. I thought I needed more than that but the reviews were so good that I thought I would give it a try. I’m glad I did because I found out that I was so wrong and the 1.75 was perfect for me. I’m able to see things that I never was able to see before. Plus I have enough room under the glass to solder or work on whatever I want to. The lens on this baby is crystal clear with no foggy haze at all. I didn’t realize that all My other magnifiers were not clear until I got this one. Quality glass!! I should mention the light too. It’s incredible. It’s a bright daylight type white light that just makes everything underneath it crystal clear. I haven’t been this excited with a product in a long time. I feel like I’m finally home free. Now I can take on those projects that I had previously avoided due to my bad eyesite. Thank you Britech!!

Most Effective and Economical Solution to Lighted Magnification Needs

Considering the price of this item, it's a very good value. I can't see other units outperforming it at the same multiples relative to their prices. If anything, the light is too bright; it woud benefit from a dimmer and colot temperature adjustment, but that would significantly raise the price. If this is your first time purchasing a product like this, you could do a lot worse than the performance you'll realize while spending quite a bit less. I figured the clamp would be of little use, but I was pleasantly surprised. Image quality is quite good and clear for an acrylic lens. The LED light color is more like sunlight and not at all warm and yellow like incandescent bulbs or green like fluorescent bulbs. Can double nicely as a desk lamp or anywhere you might need a task light plus you always have the convenience of the magnifier. People having difficulty with reading fine print, prescription labels, and the like would benefit from having it near where they use the phone or read. You can focus from a decent distance away, which is mainly due to the relatively low magnification power of the lens. If I remember correctly, it's 1.75x, or 175% larger, than the actual size of what's being viewed. Guys would love one on their workbenches. While not the most elegant or stylish item, it definitely serves its purpose effectively and economically. You can easily spend two to six times as much without even doublimg the performance or appearance. It's a tool, not a fashion item, so start here. I doubt you'll see the need to go any further unless you have very specific needs related to magnification, color temperature, and light intensity. If you really need those features, just be prepared to pay for them . I can make do relatively with this purchase. It's one of those times you actually feel quite postive about a purchase because Its performance should easily exceed any realistic expectations.

I CAN SEE TO CROSS STITCH AGAIN!

Thank you, Brightech, for this reasonably-priced, bright table top light with magnifier. The base is heavy enough to hold the lens and light in almost any position and the clip is heavy enough to work properly. Being mechanically challenged, it did take me three or four tries to get the inner ring that holds the lens in place to actually lock in, but once I got that figured out, this is heaven! (The ring problem was user-error, not design flaw. I only mention it for others, if any, who may be as challenged as I am. Don't laugh. There could be someone.)

Absolutely What I Was Looking For!

Spending more than two decades working as an Electronics Technician, I have relied on magnifying lamps quite often over the years. I was looking for a magnifying lamp for my workbench at home, but the standard clamp-on base you find on most magnifying lamps just isn't right for my setup. I ran across this lamp while browsing Amazon, and the base was the first thing that caught my eye. I decided to give it a try, and all I can say is, there's a reason this little lamp has such a high star rating. It does come with a clamp option, but the base is weighted very well, so it stays in place and doesn't tip at all. The light is bright, and the magnifier is great. Spend the money and let yourself be happy with a great purchase. This little magnifying lamp met every expectation I had. Love it!

Very pleased with this light

I had been looking for a compact and versatile desk lamp with a built-in magnifier to retire my bulky fluorescent task light. The Brightech - LightView Pro is just what I have been looking for. Using the stand, it sits on the desk next to my laptop and is bright enough to illuminate the desk, computer keyboard and part of the room. When I need a magnifying glass, it is there. The clip is very handy for attaching the lamp to an easel or a work bench and can be swapped out with the base easily. The gooseneck appears to be solid and very flexible, though it could be a bit longer. This light is economical with ample illumination so if I forget to turn it off it will not break the bank.
