This was surprisingly easy!! This kit was a great deal - it has both screwdrivers needed, two tools for popping open the joycon, some tweezers which came in handy, and TWO replacement thumb sticks. Start to finish this took less than 20 mins!! I saved 50 bucks, and my kid is super happy. Great Deal - said it twice because I felt like it.

So I'm not the most sure-handed person in the world, and this was a pain to replace due to the size of the parts alone, BUT: it took about 15 minutes and a youtube video from start to finish to save myself 70$. The magnetic drivers and tweezers included came in handy. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! I thought I was going to have to shell out 80$ for a new Joycon. Thank you Veanic! I haven't had a chance to really test the durability on these yet, but they seem sturdy, and come with some rubber caps, so that's nice...

Ive had my Switch for about 18 months and Ive already gone through two left Joy-Cons and was about to buy a third. The analog control is manufactured and implemented in the absolute cheapest way possible resulting in Joy-Cons that last about 6 months before drifting and eventually becoming completely useless. Make no mistake, these analog replacements are exactly the same as issued by Nintendo, they too will fail in 6 months or so BUT at $8 each it certainly beats paying $40 or more for a whole Joy-Con. I ordered a couple of them and so far so good. Installing it was a little harrowing my first time but is super easy. Youtube will help you there. I didnt even need to calibrate them as they worked perfectly from the start. Im very happy with my purchase and will buy again. If you own a Switch, at some point you will need to replace your left Joy-Con. I would highly recommend buying this product before replacing the entire Joy-Con. I did not use the included screwdrivers due to some negative reviews so I can't attest to their quality. I bought these instead and theyre amazing and worked perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L8QZ86W/ I also swapped out the outer tri-screws of the Joy-Con with philips head screws to make it easier to open again later. I used 2.5*1.4*5.0 screws from this product https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DT16GNY/

The major difference between this analog sick and the original ones that come with the controllers is the downward clicking action. This one requires a little bit more force to click, but not so much that it has affected gameplay at all, it just has a different feel. It was pretty easy to install, especially if you have ever worked on computers or small electronics before. It would have been nice to have paper instructions for how to install, but there are plenty of YouTube videos that show how to do it. I can't vouch for the durability, since I've only been using it for a few weeks, so if they break quickly I'll come back and downgrade my review, but so far they seem great and also come with soft rubber covers that you can add on to make the stick surfaces a little wider, which I like but they are optional. Overall, if you have serious 'drift' on one of your analog sticks, I would highly recommend especially if you are willing to do a little repair work to save $50-60 compared to new controllers.

I dabble a bit in electronics so this was an easy replacement. There are several videos and text instructions online, I used ifixit.com, and with the tools that are included in this set this is an easy replacement. My left joy-con was drifting badly and would not re-calibrate so I replaced it using this kit. If you take it slowly and be careful with the tiny ribbon connections you should do fine. Be sure, when taking it apart, to note to orientation of the ribbon cables in their respective connectors. It would be easy to try to install any of them upside-down which probably wouldn't damage anything but it surely wouldn't work.

This not only was an excellent product, but also an excellent experience in regards to customer support. As most have experienced, my Switch’s left joy-con was experiencing drifting problems. Rather than purchasing new joy-cons for $70+, I chose to take a shot in the dark and buy Veanic’s replacement kit for around $20. The package arrived fairly quickly, only a few days. After replacing the joystick and testing it, I noticed that it would occasionally be unresponsive until I used the right joystick. The biggest issue was when, at one point, forced the cursor to move right without any joystick input. I only solved this by recalibrating the joystick. Even after changing the joystick, I faced the same problems. Now, this would have resulted in a 3 star review at best, if it wasn’t for the fact that I was emailed by Veanic, asking if their product was working well. I never contacted them. They did this under their own volition. I told them about the few problems I was having, and after a few emails back and forth, they let me know that they would be sending me a replacement. This was at no cost to me, and it again arrived in a few short days. The new joysticks work perfectly, and I am left with a smile on my face. If I or my friends ever face problems with the Switch’s joysticks, I will definitely be going to Veanic. 😄

Easier to install than I thought. Purchased the two-pack, watched a couple YouTube vids, the first took about 20-25 minutes, the second about 10-15 since I was familiar with the process. Both worked right away, did a quick calibration and now no more annoying drift on the controllers- my kids can play their games again! Since I had two left Joy cons that each had the directional drift issue, I ended up saving about $75 by purchasing these components rather than buy two new left joycons. Tools included worked perfectly, and there were 4 extra screws included that I’ll retain for the future if needed. Will definitely recommend to other family members with the switch and would purchase again if the original right side joycons start having the same issue. The one suggestion I would make is for the company to make a step by step video or include instructions with it so one doesn’t have to YouTube random vids to understand the process. Arrived early was a bonus!

Bought this to replace the broken joystick on my joy con. The original joystick was drifting and not clicking when you press down. I looked up several DIY videos before attempting to replace the joystick, but I would still say this is an intermediate level DIY. After replacing and re-calibrating the joystick, it was hard to tell the difference between the original new and the replacement one. The only difference I could tell if they were side by side was the sound the clicking when pressing down the joystick. The replacement joystick was more crisp and required more force to depress.

This is a great kit if you're expediencing issues with your Joycon analog sticks and are comfortable with opening them up and messing with the internals. The installation isn't that difficult for the most part, removing a number of screws and carefully removing the battery and a few ribbon cables, but I had the most difficulty with the Reassembly. In order to remove the analog stick, the ribbon cables need to be unseated from the main board. Their size and placement made them a challenge to reseat. Patience and a steady hand are the most valuable tools for the job, but are not included in the kit. The sticks themselves feel good. I can tell the difference between these and the stock sticks, but I can't be sure of the difference is the result of the age of the sticks I was comparing them to, they feel slightly tighter with a bit more spring back, and requiring ever so slightly more pressure to click. Their sensitivity is very comparable to the stick sticks as well. They also sound slightly different. All told, without knowing a replacement was done, you wouldn't likely notice a difference. Be careful when screwing the housing back together. The Y screws are pretty soft and strip easily.

Ok, so I saw many people talking about the thumb sticks, and I can confirm, they are great, so there's really nothing more I can add to that front. But no one is talking about the pack in tools. I'm actually blown away with how much I got with this. Included in my pack age was the 2 screwdrivers you see advertised, but I also got a spudger that doesn't feel awful, a pick, and a pair of needle nose tweezers. I have most of these tools already, but the inclusion of them are actually really really nice for people who don't already have them. 10/10 value, even if the tools aren't up to super high quality standards, but for pack in tools, they are absolutely amazing.
