I've been recently replaying my old PS2 and buying new games. But I've always wanted to play them in HD. I searched here on Amazon and ran into this device. It was fairly priced and I had gift points left so I gave it a shot. I took a few days before I finally hooked it and played. I was very impressed with the device. My games look very great and even better a bit after using this HD link!! Some games still have that haze effect at times, but it doesn't look bad and I can look past that. I'm not good at all when it comes to all the technical details, but it works well for me and it allows me to play my games on PS2 at better quality, My only complaint is that it should come with better instructions. The instructions weren't bad when it came to switching my viewing mode to play the HD, but I was pretty confused at first with hooking up the cables. I wished there were pictures on how to hook everything up proper. But that's just me and once I figured it out, it became easier. I'm impressed with the device and it works well enough for me.

I am a ps1 and ps2 collector, used to using an old crt for playing because i hate the way retro systems look on modern hd tvs. I went out on a limb with this product and decided to try it. I couldn't be happier with my decision. The cable seems like it's well made and all but the picture quality is such a step up from trying to use composite AV cables with an hdtv. Text is crystal clear, colors are vibrant, and the polygons look crisp and clean. I love it. Not sure how long it will last but right now it is working great!

It's amazing now I can play my lovely games by my PS2 and PSone on 58inch samsung 4K LED it great feal and I'm very happey . in day of days I search about best picture for PSone & PS2 I see video in youtube channels like Metal Jesse and My live in games it very cool and I see best plugs you can buy it to play by old console I fonund POUND HD Link Cable for Playstation 2 (compatible with PS2 and PS1) not avalible in that day and found this plugs and buy it , you don't have choose not any thing can play your console very and have well picture if you have HD TV the old concole not work very well. this plugs fix this problem my phone not take what I can see by my eyes the picture awesome in gamemode or out .

Works exactly as expected with a PS2! Set to RGB mode and it gives you HDMI output as if the console had it natively. I can't tell if there's any artifacting or other visual anomalies (not that I have the original composite cable for comparison, nor would I want to use it anyway!) so this seems like the way to go if you want to hook up your PS2 to a modern display and not have to deal with legacy connectors (if the TV even has them, which plenty omit nowadays.) The only minor nuisance is that this requires a USB connection for power, which isn't unexpected for this type of HDMI accessory (see the Marseille HDMI upscaling cables for comparison) but nevertheless you end up with this little box that has 3 cables sticking out of it. Fortunately you can just plug the USB connector into the PS2 itself, or possibly the TV, or any other USB power source (e.g. a phone charger) so you have options.

I was a bit nervous at first cause when I bought this there wasn't any reviews about this at all so it was pretty much unknown to me, but now I must admit the quality is far better than ever. My PS1 and PS2 games look far better on it now. Well honestly I normally play my PS1 games on the PS3 Slim, but for this review I took a few photos of how it looks playing a PS1 and PS2 game. Honestly it looks much better in person than it does in these photos, but here's the ones I took. As you can see, I have the HDMI cable on this HD Link Cable connected to my HDMI splitter which is connected to the TV since the TV has 3 HDMI ports and I have more consoles.

As a PS1/PS2 collector, easily setting my collection up for HDTVs is what I am expecting for a long time. Fortunately, I found this product and now want to recommend to you guys. 1. Convenience: come with everything you need and just follow the instruction page within the package, then enjoy retro gaming again 2. Better than any AV composite to HDMI converters I bought: I had purchased 4 converters between 10~100 bucks on Amazon however these converters only output the fuzzy and unnatural video which looks very aweful. I suppose AV/composite is the very low quality connection This HDMI cable made by this company, only sold at $30, can let you know what the games should look like and you can also have better/saturated/natural visual experience during gaming 3. No any lag: I tried on PS2 with this cable and can't notice the lag at all 4. Aspect Ratio Adjustment: my HDTV can't force the ratio to 4:3 but this product has the incredible switch can achieve 16:9 or 4:3. Stretched image doesn't exit any more

The first one I ordered in January sadly died 2 days after 30 days return window but Amazon was top notch and facilitated a return. Kudos Amazon! I reordered the item on back order and got it a couple days earlier than listed. The one I got looks like a revision to the previous one I got. And a revision at that! One issue I had with classic consoles is they are 4:3 aspect ratio. Not all TVs have an option to force 4:3 and the images gets stretched and does not look good cause of it. I was using a Visio TV and they do not offer the forced aspect option on many models as well as many other manufacturers lack this feature. Samsung is cool enough to offer it in settings and I ended up buying one for my console collection. Currently at 9 consoles! With this new revision there is a switch on it that allows you to force 4:3 or 16:9, nice! So for those of you that do not have this built in your tv this will do it for you. I hope it lasts. I have three other cables from this maker and they have been working like champs. I seem to just have gotten a fluke. Image quality is outstanding with an active powered upscaler. It comes with power cable but NO usb ac adapter. You need to supply it. You can use a cell phone adapter or as in my case I have a 10 port usb powered hub station.

This product is great! I was using an old set of A/V cables which was producing that weird buzzing sound and picture quality was poor. With this product, I immediately saw the difference in picture, color and frame rate quality. At the end of the day, it's PS2/PS1 games so playing on a native console is not going to produce super high quality but, this for the most part cleared up blurry/staticy picture and made text look more sharp. Picture quality is really great! You can sometimes notice very slight framerate drops in areas where normally the AV cables would have chugged and it makes the transition look very smooth when going back into a steady framerate. Over all, it's not a waste of money and it was well worth it! Quality of product itself is solid and instructions in box and online were helpful. Thank you!

I have a backwards compatible 60GB PS3 (the OG fatboy) and I bought that model expressly to play the hundred or so PS2 games I own. But, in order to reduce wear and tear and overheating, I've decided to go back to PS2 gaming on an actual PS2 slim (the 7000 series). My tv does not allow me to force a 4:3 aspect ratio, which makes a lot of old-gaming-console-to-hdmi solutions terrible because they usually don't offer 480p, the only resolution my tv will display in 4:3. I am a total freak about correct aspect ratio and refuse to play retro games stretched across a 16:9 display. I was not going to buy this adapter until I read in another review that they added a hard aspect ratio switch, and this is not really reflected in the info in the product listing. But, indeed, you can force 4:3 @ 720p from this cable, at least on the most recent revisions. And it does grab the higer quality RGB signal from the PS2, and applies some well-judged smoothing as well. Games look surprisingly great on my 48" tv, better than the bc PS3, which I can now retire for PS2 games to extend its life (new thermal paste and a more efficient power supply will hopefully also help in that regard). I was really skeptical but this thing is great and it does wonders for PS2 graphics (don't expect miracles, but it's good). My only complaint is there is some black crush where you lose some detail in dark areas, and I was not able to compensate for this with my tv settings. Otherwise, I was very pleased with the picture quality. I hope it doesn't die on me in a 3 days like another review said happened to him. PS: it does require USB power, but it comes with a microUSB cable and you can power it right from the USB ports on the system itself.
