I got this for a friend. She has a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge with a 5.6 inch screen. This XL Kit did fit her phone BUT without the case. She needed to take it out of the wallet case and just put the regular smartphone back on it to secure the battery. If you don't the batter will pop out for sudden movements or if you're not careful. We were still able to successfully play a multiplayer Google Cardboard game session. Pros: - This kit comes with an assembling video. Makes it way more easier to put the kit together correctly. - Comes with a magnet as a trigger for some games. - Comes with a head strap band. This is only needed for games that require a bluetooth gamebad so you can focus on looking while driving, flying or shooting. - My friend was able to wear her glasses with this kit after moving her hair around and after I helped her stretch out the head band strap. Cons: - The adhesive glue on the sides comes apart loosely if you're rough with the cardboard. It's work okay if you firmly press it for a few minutes. Cons:

I ordered this kit not realizing it was not the Version 2 Cardboard-like device. Customer service contacted me and asked how everything was and I told them how *I* had messed up and gotten the wrong unit. They offered to refund me in full and not have to send the unit back OR they would send me a V2 at no charge. Great customer service. As for the unit itself, it seems to be really good quality as these things go. It fits my OnePlus One perfectly with a case on. I couldn't ask for a better fit. The magnetic button works as advertised. I like that there is a cleanable forehead guard. Just make sure to go online for instructions on assembly (on their website) as the included instructions are a little hard to follow. Either way, great product, great customer service and I am looking forward to trying the V2 unit as well.

The VR kit came as expected and on time. Albeit a simple design it still came with thorough instructions on how to assemble and use, with links to websites and suggestions for apps. Seller made sure everything was okay with my order, that i received it on time and made sure i was happy with the goggles itself. Above and beyond what 99% of sellers would do on Amazon these days. I have used the kit for a brief time but already see a lot of potential with a simple product. The only thing i would improve on with the design is maybe have the tabs lock in somehow to make it sturdier. If you're looking to get into smartphone VR with considerations to upgrading to full VR later, check this one out! (And hey black looks better than cardboard brown, you know)

The future is here! Awesome stuff guys. If you're a tech nerd and poor like I am then a cardboard VR headset is something you need to buy. Just do it...do it. EightOnes has delivered something special here. It comes with everything you need to experience most of what the VR revolution currently has to offer; a headset, velcro strap, built in NFC, magnetic pull switch, good quality lenses and cardboard and it's black which is just something I'm in to. This is of course assuming that you have a relatively new phone but I can assure you that it works with a Note 3 and a Galaxy S6 edge. Android ftw am I right! This is also great for development if your into that sort of thing (told you I'm a nerd). Just export your Unity 5 cardboard VR game onto your phone and bam a working VR experience that you created. Plenty of tutorials out there so get those creative juices flowing. I'm in the process of purchasing a Bluetooth gamepad to take my VR experience to the next level but I have to say seeing my son yell in excitement because he just saw a "real life dinosaur" walk by or my brother twitching in fear after playing A Chair in a Room makes this headset worth every penny.

Samsung Galaxy S5 fites perfectly even with a case. I have an Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 and I must say this rivals it. I can't compare this particular cardboard to any of other brands as I've never used them, but I'm very happy with this. The company is fantastic to work with. The first package I received was missing the magnet component, but the seller immediately corrected the issue. I know this is the product review section but the manufacturer and distributor are the same. I would recommend reinforcing the cardboard with some tape (I used electrical since I bought the black version), and removing the rubber band... the phone stays securely in place and is much easier to remove without it. The frequent taking in and out to perform certain [necessary] functions eventually compromise the top of the cardboard, bending and creating creases but overall this is well worth the price. I'm having a great time experiencing what's available and also developing my own VR apps. I can't wait to see how this goes as VR immersion technology progresses. Applications I would recommend (all free): Google Cardboard (base application) Titans of Space (experience) InMind VR (game) Crazy Swing VR (experience) Cosmic Roller Coaster (experience) Alien Apartment (game/experience) Zombie Shooter VR (game) Sisters (experience) Radial-G Infinity (game) Don't forget you can also view stereoscopic YouTube videos and it's really cool. Here's an example "Alien Isolation on Oculus Rift DK2" (copy/paste). The particular one I saw is posted by "The Rift Arcade" and they have tons more. You can't control these but man are they fun to watch in the cardboard! I hope this helped some in their decision. Have fun!

This is the 3rd Google Cardboad kit that I've purchased, and it's by far the best one. My biggest problem with them is usually that they are difficult to align, especially with larger phones or ones that aren't perfectly square. This one didn't have any issue with the phones I've tried (Note 5, Nexus 5, Galaxy S5). Pros: *Easy to put together. It was confusing for about one minute (I didn't look at any of the web manuals it came with) but it clicked with me quickly. *Strong material. It's not the thickest cardboard kit I've had, but it's very sturdy on *Great lenses. I've had issues with the lenses not being perfectly aligned in other kits, which makes everything blurry and unusable. This one worked perfectly fine as long as your face was in all the right grooves Cons: Magnet doesn't quite work all of the time. You have to quickly pull it all the way down and let it go up for it to register, which takes some getting used to. They have a newer version with a button magnet vs the sliding magnet this one comes with. The button one works PERFECTLY. This is the one I'll be recommending to people for getting started with VR. Any cheaper, and you'll find issues with quality, lenses, and magnets. More expensive, and it'll feel like a waste just for trying it out. This one is perfectly priced and exceeded my expectations.

Experience vr for under $20? Yep! Outstanding product and really great customer service. I'm using the vr2 with my s7 edge and it works great. I did reinforce a bit using some duct tape but the vr2 is really an awesome product to experience vr. I've tried both the vr1 big and there vr2. Both work well though the vr2 is definitely more comfortable and the button works better. The vr1 though has more room if you wear glasses. If you have any questions just send them a message. They really have great communication and amazing customer service. This is a no brainer. Buy it. And no, I was given nothing for my review.

This cardboard was easily put together, and has a very sturdy build. I have a Oneplus One, which fit perfectly in the cardboard. The velcro and head strap are extremely strong, and I never have to worry about my phone falling out, or the goggles falling off my head. Be warned, the velcro is so strong that the tab on the top of the cardboard bent a little bit as I periodically took out my phone and placed it back in. This has not actually affected the functionality of the goggles themselves, so I won't complain. There were view instances where the goggles would be cross-eyed for certain apps, but in cases where I had to deal with that, I simply disabled the NFC (which sets to standard viewer settings) and loaded in my custom viewer settings with a closer eye to eye distance: [...] I'd completely recommend this product as an introduction to virtual reality, BUT if you are susceptible to motion sickness (like me), maybe wait for an Oculus, or a HTC Vive. I watched one 360 view YouTube video from inside these lenses, and I felt sick to my stomach for eight hours afterwards. This can psychologically mess up the virtual reality experience for you, since your phone can't keep up with your head movement as well as an Oculus can. None of my complaints are for the goggles themselves, these are actually a great buy if you're willing to take the risk for mindblowing virtual reality entertainment.

You can't really compare this to Oculus, Morpheus, or any other VR headset for that matter. For the price and material composition, it truly is "sub par". But, for the functionality, price, and reliability...it's excellent! What bad things can you say about a $15 VR headset? Honestly, none. The build quality is excellent (ultra-durable laminated cardboard...oh yea! Best of the best!) and assembles in minutes (IKEA would be jealous). This really was a great purchase! Plus black is nice...and doesn't make it look so much like cardboard...which is cool if you're wearing it in public.

I bought this after having a chance to use some of the proper headsets but didn't feel like spending the money to get a Oculus DK2. This provides a pretty good entry point if you're just starting to mess around with VR or just want to demo it to friends and family. It is possible to connect to your PC as well but it requires a bit more effort, especially if you're using iOS. One downside is that the applications available on the smartphone itself are somewhat limited to a few standouts like Google Street View. The build quality of the product is pretty nice and the instructions are easy enough to follow. The headstrap included is pretty good though it may be a little tight depending on the size of your head. The only downside is that a iPhone 6 Plus will not fit flush and if you're using even a slim case it will press against the volume / power buttons which can cause issues. I ended up receiving a V2 model which worked better for my phone after contacting the sellers customer support. What stands out about this product was the customer service provided. After I had some problems making this work with my phone EightOnes was extremely helpful to the point of sending me a different model that worked better. This is one of the rare instances I've had to interact with a seller on Amazon and it's by far the best experience I've had in doing so.
