I’m not in any way a professional when it comes to electricity and testing stuff but my bf is and he needed something like this since he mentioned his old one had a crack in the plastic and it its sceen was flipping out I thought for his birthday I would get him a new one. I was hoping that this was what he wa looking for, he loved it!

Great and reliable

Well I very much like this product. It is as described and it has dual function. When I first bought the tester I looked up the you tube video and it was very informative. I heard and read the reviews, from that I discovered that using the correct mode will prevent issues. In the mode that detects low voltage, the tester is very sensitive so it pucks up hit right away before you even touch the wire. In the correct mode, the tester is fine. I have multiple testers and I always cross reference each one to check how good it works. This is a good tester and reliable. Please make sure that you test known live wires and get a feel for your tester before using it to detect hot wires. I always run a couple of practice test first, but so far no problem at all
