Bought a second set

My mother asked for a pottery set for xmas. She loved the completeness of this set from the various tools and scrapers that this set includes. My daughter is taking a ceramics class this year and really wanted her own tools. When she received the set, she raved about the completeness of the set.

This set (so far) is sooooo worth the money. At first I was a little skeptical, but once I started using these tools on my clay projects for school- I realized how much I love these tools due of the durability (I’m very heavy handed btw), how comfortable they felt while using them, and the assortment of tools offered in this set.

I use these to sculpt Christmas ornaments.

These work very well for sculpting my (flour-salt dough) Christmas ornaments. I imagine they would also do well for Sculpey. This is, of course, not what they are intended for, but I thought I would leave this review so others would know they could be used for other purposes as well.

great assortment of tools

Best set on Amazon

I bought this tool set for pottery class after discovering that I needed more tools than the basic set. This really has everything. They are well made and durable.

Perfect for a beginner!

I just began learning to sculpt and this set is exactly what I needed. I don't need a full set of high-end tools but I do need a comprehensive set that will allow me to try out as many different tools as is reasonably possible and this set is exactly that. As I continue to practice I'll undoubtedly learn that I reach for a small subset of the tools the majority of the time, and those are the tools I'll consider upgrading to more expensive 'pro' models. I do not care that it did not come with a carrying case or other pouch-type storage because I don't like sliding markers or small paint brushes in and out of pouches while I'm working, and I don't think I'd like doing that with sculpting tools, either. Storage is easy to find and most of it protects tools much better than a plastic pouch does. FIVE STARS!
