This orchid was a gift from a customer, so we weren't to sure how to handle its care. So far it has grown out of its original pot, and we replanted it with this Organic Orchid Potting Mix. It is too early too tell much, but several new shoots have started to form so everything seems to be great with this new potting mix.

This stuff is amazing!

I’m new to orchids and recurved 2 from a friend that were not doing well. I re-potted the using this mix and both are thriving! In 3 months the one has 4 blooms and 3 buds that will opening soon. The one that was worse off has new leaves, root sprouts and is growing a flowering stalk.

Great Purchase!

First thing I noticed was how fresh and moist the mix was. NO fluffy foam fillers here all natural mix with no worry of chemicals. I replanted all of my herbs and saw a huge difference in just a few days! There was new growth and rich color was so noticeable I am looking for more things to replant with this mix. Great purchase!

Awesome mix for orchids!!!

This product is fantastic! I was very happy with it! I needed some high quality substrate components for my orchids. I keep phalaenopsis, oncidium, paphiopedilum, and many more exotic kinds. Some of them needed repotting this spring. I have epiphytes and terrestrial orchids. Every orchid I have is in a unique mix that is optimized to give each plant the correct amount of air, moisture, and nutrients. Some of my orchids are grown semi-hydro style, potted in solely LECA (in gravel form, Turface). But not all of them do well in that medium, which is where this potting mix comes in. I like to use: bark, moss, lava rock, coconut chips, charcoal, turface, sometimes perlite, all in different combinations. This product provides exactly the amounts of: Bark, Rock, Coconut, and Charcoal that I need for my mixes. All of the pieces are appropriately sized for Phalaenopsis and even Oncidium orchids. If you live in a very humid place, or like to water a lot, or have an epiphytic orchid that needs to dry out fast, this is the only product you'll need for repotting. However, I add other things to make it work in my drier environment. I buy high grade New Zealand sphagnum moss, because most of my orchids need some of it in the mix, and also Turface (gravel LECA), for added water retention and also aeration. In the picture I uploaded this mix is in the center, with other orchid medium around it.

My orchid is very happy

I have never had any luck with orchids - they never lived long enough to be re-potted. I've had my current orchid since May and it needed re-potting. Not having a clue as to which potting mix to buy, I went by the reviews on various mixes and decided on this mix. The size of the bag was a good value and it appeared very rich, just what any orchid would love. So far, my orchid is doing well; and I expect it will continue to thrive. I will definitely purchase this potting mix again if the need arises.

Very nice orchid mix!

Just repotted two orchids. The potting mix looks and feels great. The bag that I received had a lot of the mix so it was a great value. Very happy. I recommend Perfect Plants and will buy from them again.

Wonderful orchid potting mix

I'm brand new to orchids. I bought this mix to re-pot one that I got as a gift, that had been potted in this awful sphagnum-y medium that held water for too long and killed it. It was too late to save that one, but I did use this for my next orchid and it seems to love it. As I said, I'm new to orchids so don't know about specifics, it just seems happy in there. There's plenty in the bag to be able to re-pot again, or another one a couple of times. Will buy again for sure.

Food quality mix.

Nice blend, with enough variations in particular size to please a variety of orchid types. The non bark particles are of a size that makes them unobtrusive (can’t stand white “popcorn “ in my potting mediums).

Great quality and a LOT of it!

This is fantastic, I needed new potting soil for my orchid - but have ended up using it as drainage in several other plant pots as well. The bag is absolutely stuffed full, I feel like I got my money's worth!
