Looking forward to getting back into gaming with the Xbox One S

I've been away from gaming for a few years. When a friend twisted my arm, I decided to get back in with the Xbox One S Anthem bundle. Can't wait to try Elite Dangerous on it. I considered the X, but decided on the S because of the price difference. I'm not a heavy duty gamer, so the S is way beyond adequate. It was a heck of a deal here on Amazon, in my opinion, at $249 for the bundle. Looks like it's creeped up a few dollars since receiving mine on March 15. Got everything up and running the next day which was a bit of a learning curve for an older guy who was used to loading games strictly from a disk and having 1/4 inch thick manuals to reference. Now it's downloading by using 25 digit codes. It is a bit of a challenge (for me) navigating through the menus on these new systems, but that is my failing, not the Xbox One S's, and I'll get better at it with use. The younger generations, I realize, get this stuff right away. I got it up and running, and Anthem down loaded within a couple of hours. As I write this, I've only had the unit for one day, but everything is functioning properly. It was mentioned in another review that the Xbox box was shipped inside a larger box with no packing material to fill the empty space. Mine, too, was similarly shipped. I was surprised that they didn't throw in some popcorn to fill the space. That's my only rant. Fortunately, the unit appears to be undamaged and working properly. Anyway, I look forward to getting back into the world gaming with the Xbox One S, which literally means the world these days.
