MOTORCYCLE TANK REPAIR REVIEW USING HAMMER PULLER
MOTORCYCLE GUYS Cycle Tanks are hard metal. Cars are soft. Yet, I did well. Motorcycle Dent guy is seven hours away and so thought give it a try. Only one motorcycle review at the time of purchase. It was positive. So, I made the purchase because 1) this kit came with a glue gun 2) Came with a pull hammer as opposed to that bridge suction contraption. Had read another cyclist review on similar product regarding that bridge sucker, who said he ended up with even more dents. Made sense. So much as press on a motorcycle tank and you got a dent. That tri-ped thing looked like it would leave dents. My results with pull hammer, removed about 90-95% percent of dent at (hard) head of the tank, about four inches above gas cap, the location they say is the worst to deal with. Managed to leave tank on and aim puller just past handlebars. You will need patience. Took me about an hour and a half and two cups of coffee. Look at it as work and you’ll probably fail. Someone to help is nice also, perhaps to sit on and steady bike. Don't lose the bike! I have center stand, that helped. Took about 12 tab pulls. Some looked like they made a difference, many looked like nothing happened. Chances are, something happened every time. Those that stuck to tank I hammered at perhaps 10 to 20 times until fear set in. None of my tabs broke. As junkie as this stuff seems, it’s not. Smaller tabs popped off faster, if not instantly with first pull, simply because less traction – surface on surface. Preferred middle sized to larger tabs. Look at the dent and use your head as the dent improves. Larger tabs stuck and had to use the alcohol to get them off just to check progress. You don’t want to go nuts on your tank. You want it even, you don’t want a inverse dent/bump. Tip 1: I used that easy off painter's tape around work area. So much as allow metal to touch tank an you'll have a mark. Careful! Tip 2: Realize you are probably spraying alcohol on your tank which kills the glue effect on next pull tab. Be prepared with damp rag, rag with some Dawn detergent on it, and dry well before next attempt. Glue will stick to tank and or tab. Also realize you are using alcohol on the tabs. Need to rinse before next use. While removing glue from one tab, have another glued and drying on your tank to move things along. Visual end result: Two people said to me that they can still see dent and pointed to a tiny dent that was already there and that I had not worked on. So, my tiny unnoticeable dent now looked bigger, because my big 2-3 inch dent, one I worked on, was almost gone. Will try some more this week to see if I can make it disappear completely. Still, there’s a huge positive difference and now I can sleep at night. Hope you have similar results. UPDATE: Went back at it, passed that moment of fear and broke one tab. Again, these are plastic. If you think you're about to have a heart attack hammering away, calm down. Think how easy it was to put the dent in your tank. We're only going for the reverse. My dent is now just a tiny dimple.

Super excited!
Came with everything mentioned! Super easy to put together and came with instructions on how to use and even included some other information of their other products in case I needed another what I bought wasn't working. Super excited to fix up my car just waiting for a few more things (from another vendor) before getting started!

Nice size and works well
This Glue Gun comes in handy. I like the size and it works perfectly. I used to have another glue gun my friend send to me but it doesn't work as good as this one. I can easily use it to fix some of my old tools and make some small wood projects as gifts to my friends. Recommend it.

They are not purple.....
First...they are not purple. They are dark blue. Second, they are made from very sturdy plastic...not flimsy at all. Third... can't beat the price! I would highly recommend!

This is amazing
Thank you to all the reviewers who took the time to talk about how great this kit is!!!! I got this for my brand new 2019 VW Tiguan! My husband but our bikes on the back garage wall and unknowingly I was backing into his seat and had 3 ugly dents on my rear. This kit got rid of 80% and the one I couldn’t get all the way out is because I pulled it out too far! But it’s ok it still looks great and one day I’ll have hubby bang it in gently Thank you for this kit
