a cheap controller with Xbox quality

I got this to replace my old off brand Xbox controller for my PC and Steam Link. First off it's got a good weight not too heavy not too light like most off brand Xbox controllers. Second it has grips on the side something I haven't seen in other cheap controllers it is always smooth and slippery. The buttons all function properly. My other controller had a few buttons which stayed slightly indented into the slot. Joysticks are very smooth but bounce right back into place as they should. After a couple weeks my favorite part of this controller is the trigger buttons. It's a great FPS controller the trigger goes down smooth and quick and release very fast so no extra shooting, its perfect. All and all a cheap controller with Xbox quality.

THIS THING IS INDISTRUCTABLE

Okay so I bought it eight months ago after my expensive XBOX controller broken down. Perfect gamepad for the price, good weight, firm feeling when I held it. But the feature that drove me to write this review (I have NEVER write Amazon review) is my gamepad's durability. I play FIFA. Anyone who plays FIFA can confirm that it is easy to feel inhibited, and I smashed my controller at least twice a week. IT DIDN'T BREAK OR SHOWED ANY SCRATCH. Don't get me wrong: I am a fully fit and functional 20 yo adult, so I am pretty sure I always smash it with decent force. Today, I realized that I had been playing too much FIFA so I decided to get rid of the gamepad. However, I really wanted to find out how durable it was, so I decided to smash it against the floor with my full force multiple time. IT SHOWED NOTHING BUT A SMALL INSIGNIFICANT CRACK AT THE SIDE. I almost cried when throwing this stubborn, brave buddy into the bin (image attached). Seriously, I will build my nuclear bunker from whatever they used to produce my gamepad.

Good feeling controller worked straight out of the box

I was using a rock candy xbox 360 controller with my PC for about 2 years. Then with the Jan '19 windows update or something else recently, that controller wouldn't even be recognized anymore so I couldn't configurate it or load drivers. And of course after 3 months of RPG gaming, all the games I wanted to play really needed a controller. I had went with the rock candy previously because I knew the brand and it worked great after fiddling with some configuration files. Before that, I had tried 3 or 4 controllers from Walmart or Gamestop that either felt crappy, wouldn't work or just plain broke in a week. So this time, figured I would get the highest rated controller I could find that was meant for PC. First impressions were that it had good packaging (a nice box and sleeve to prevent damage instead of just a plastic bag) and it felt comfortable/familar when I first picked it up. Windows 10 and Steam both recognized it immmediately (Steam never did that with the rock candy). I jumped into a game and it seemed to work fairly smoothly. I am not an PvP FPS player so I can't comment on indexing and the precision of aiming but for me in casual action gaming and such this seems like it will work out well. Can't comment on the durability yet. The controller does feel solid and has a good heft to it. We'll see how well it holds up as I start using it more seriously tonight. If it holds up and works like it should, I would recommend this to everyone

The best USB XBOX controller on Amazon!

Before getting into the review, let me just say that I have bought easily more than 100 various USB controllers over the last 3 years. I buy them to be used with setups I sell to friends and acquaintances. The version of USB controller I have purchased the most has been XBOX wired controllers like this one. I have purchased variations of the same setup from multiple different sellers with prices ranging from $13 to $20. With that said, this one is by far the best one I've ever purchased. Since there are no CONS to this controller, let me go into the PROS given my experiences handling a good 50 other XBOX wired controllers I've purchased. - THE BUTTONS: They are properly seated and solid. By that I mean when you shake the controller, there is no chattering that you would hear. Other ones on Amazon for around the same price sound like a box of Tic Tacs when shaken due to the individual buttons being a short distance away from the rubber stops on the circuit boards. This issue with other controllers leads to failed presses of the buttons and also makes the controller overall loud to use. - THE CASING RIGIDITY: The controller casing feels more sound than others I've experienced. There is no give when trying to squeeze or twist the casing body in your hands. The plastic of the casing is either thicker or more supported within, or is made from a better quality plastic blend than competitors. - THE CASING FLUSH: The two-piece casing is entirely flush whereas I've had other controllers where the screw holes didn't match up properly or the cast was slightly off. This caused the casing body to be slightly off making some sharp casting ends of the controllers stick out ever so slightly as to annoy you when playing. They also had a tendency to creek because of this. Not with this one. It's solid! - RUBBER GRIPS: I don't think the maker even needed to have these, but it's definitely a plus. They aren't just for looks as they are very functional over conventional XBOX controllers that tend to slip in your hand when your palms get a little sweaty. - ANALOG SENSITIVITY: The analog buttons on this controller had a nice gradient of intensity especially in FPS and driving games. Others I've had have been as bad as having three settings of sensitivity being 0%, 10%, and 100%. It was a major pain in the backside trying to stabilize aiming in an FPS when the difference in speed goes from 10% to 100% with just a millimeter of movement. This controller has no problem with it. - DRIVERS (software): The controller paired with my Windows 10 gaming rig faster than I could realize it. It happened so fast that I actually thought it didn't happen as many others I've owned took a second or two to be recognized. No further setup was required as this really was a Plug-n-Play controller. - PRICE: Like I said (over and over), I have owned dozens upon dozens of these types of USB XBOX controllers. This one is in the same price range as many others that are inferior to it. Overall, this is a solid and precise controller. Gameplay is far less frustrating when you don't have to destroy your thumbs trying to zero in on an opponent or finding yourself distracted by the sound of chattering buttons.

Worked perfectly for Minecraft on PC without any hassle

I got this controller to play Minecraft on my PC and this works great! I didn't have to install anything and I just plugged it in and it worked on my Windows 10 PC without a hitch. I think my PC recognized it as an Xbox 360 controller and not a PS3 controller. The rubber grips on the side make for a good solid grip over the usual plastic sitting on your palms. The buttons have a great feedback and the thumbsticks are great too, with a good amount of pressure needed to turn the joysticks, which I like to have and some 'cheap' controllers don't have usually. I would recommend this for use for PC gaming and would recommend this to family and friends, as I already sent a message to my sister to buy one for her kids to play minecraft on her PC with. Build Quality: 5/5 Ascetics: 4.5/5 Packaging: 5/5 Instructions: 2/5 (I don't really need those anyway, as these were plug and play on Windows 10) Overall a great buy for PC gaming.

great controller. nice feel

I have been using the controller on my pc for a few weeks now and i think its a great controller. first of all the controller has this texture on the outside that makes the whole controller grippy. its not rough, more soft but it feels good in your hands. all the buttons are backlit as well as a light on the front. you can change these to make them pulse or have a breathing effect but the light is always a pale blue. there are 2 buttons on the back, one turns on and off the rumble feature, and the other says it is a linear lt/rt thing that i dont know what does. the buttons are easily pressed by accident as they lay right where my middle finger does but hitting them never interrupts gameplay, it just makes the controller vibrate. the buttons and triggers have a nice feel to them. the only thing i dont like it is seems when you press dows on the d-pad the button gets stuck. not sure if its just mine or all of them but i use it so infrequently i dont think it really matters much.

Great Alternative to Brand Name Controller

This controller is so awesome!! I get to play games with my boyfriend now and its so much fun. The controller is really easy and simple to use. You definitely save money because its not a brand name controller, but it works just as well. All the buttons and joystick stuff works well! Great if you want to connect the controller to your computer to play games on Steam. The product seems like it will last for a long time. The length of the wire is definitely a reasonable length for you while you're playing.
