Great so far
I bought this to chat with friends on Xbox while still hearing good game sound. I loved the Recon 30x and bought it back in 2015, and its new counterpart did not disappoint, I can't be sure because I've only used it for a short time, but so far it is more comfortable, is good at noise cancelling (for the price) and at least according to my friends on the other side of the screen, sounds better, please by this headset!

Great for phone conversations too!
Sometimes we need to talk on the phone a lot and we have a lot to do. These are great for that - lightweight, blocks out external noise better than phone headsets, they don't make our ears sweat and the microphone and speakers are great. Want to mute? Just flip up the microphone! These work so much better than business headphones or cell phone headphones. These are comfortable, high functioning and convenient. I plug this into my phone, shove my phone in my pocket and I can talk to mom all day while doing housework or whatever. No more sweaty ears either.

Works great
My grandson loves these. Good for his new Xbox.

Turtle Beach hit the mark with all the most important features in this budget priced headset
These are some of the better budget priced gaming headsets I've tried that are made by Turtle Beach. I'm a console gamer and while I've used a number of different brands, Turtle Beach tends to be my favorite. They make headsets for a wide variety of types of gamers and budgets. The best TB headsets start at about one hundred and fifty bucks, and go up from there. Everything under that has features that are scaled back to lower the price. So the trick when shopping their lower priced headsets is finding one that still has the features that you need. This one is wired, not wireless. So that right there helps with the price. I actually prefer wired headsets. Nothing drives me more crazy when I'm in an online match than my headset starting to beep to let me know the battery is low. They earcups are nice on this one. Most of the time the cheaper TB headsets have fabric ear cups, but these use the synthetic leather like their higher priced headsets use. The headset itself is light weight, so I haven't had any issues with head fatigue when wearing these for a while, and the color scheme is pretty cool. Blue for PS4, Green for xBox and Red for the Switch. The mic works fine. I haven't had any complaints from anyone saying that the mic is fuzzy or crackles. And one thing I really like is how you can mute your mic by just flipping it up away from your face. Such an awesome idea. No fiddling around with the volume controls to mute yourself. This feature should be on all headsets. It's so simple, I don't know why it's not standard on all headsets. And the sound from the ear cups is decent. These aren't meant for sitting around listening to you music on, it's meant for video game sounds. So the whole highs and lows thing is subjective. I'm primarily a COD and Battlefield player, and for those games the sound from this headset works just fine. Turtle Beach did a nice job with these less expensive headsets, since they hit the mark with all the most important features. They look sharp, they're comfortable to wear, the mic works and the audio has good sound. All for under fifty bucks, that's pretty good for a name brand headset!

Great Headphone for gaming
I like the sound quality and ease of use of this.

Masterful headset
Look, these aren't the most expensive or fancy headphones by a longshot. They aren't wireless, and don't have every bell and whistle. But they are just right. They feel so solid in my hand, and on my head I love the soft band over my head and the cushy ears. The materials are basic plastic and foam but feel solid and comfortable. I wore these for the past eight hours (holding my newborn overnight so my wife could sleep while I finished up with Sekiro) and though I got sweaty, I was never in discomfort. The way the mike rolls back is great. I rarely use the mike, but when I am playing Blackout with friends I need to be able to explain why I'm so bad at it, so I don't need to go digging for the detachable type of mike. And when I'm not using it, which is 90% of the time, I'm glad it's not in the way. I don't even notice it. I'm using this plugged into a PS4, and in a PC, and I've also used it with an XB1. In all cases, the mike worked well, and the audio sounded deeply resonant. Watching movies like The Fifth Element or listening to good music (the PS4 has Spotify) is a better metric for me than games with lots of action clanks, but suffice to say I think the headphones sound good. You can get some with amplified audio that will sound more powerful, but I recommend sticking with these. These will last years longer, they don't have batteries to discharge, and they are safer for your hearing (if you're playing games with headphones, that's a legitimate issue to consider). They sound great, and the brain kinda adapts if you get something louder, so other than the first few impressions, the difference just isn't worth the hassle and cost. They feel like they are built to last, and of course this is a premium brand despite the cheap price.

Good price point for headphones
Turtle Beach has headphones at a great price point for gamers. The gamer in the family has used them for years. They last and the sound is good. He's using these headphones with a PS4. I've lost track of all the games he plays, but I imagine they're the standard ones featuring death and destruction! The earphones are comfortable, both the padded over-ear pieces and the padded headpiece. The sound, as always, is good. He uses the microphone in his multi-player games, and he likes how he can swing it up and out of the way when he's not using it. Green is one of his school colors, so he's happy!

Probably the best headphone deal I’ve seen so far
I am very impressed with these headphones. They may not have every little gadget and gizmo that you want, but they have everything that you need: No adapter needed, no battery to worry about, cool little flip-up mic, and you get the same Turtle Beach-quality performance at such a low (and reasonable) price. No complaints. 👍🏼

Great sound for the price
This Turtle Beach Recon 70 White Gaming Headset for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC offers great sound for the price and even adjusts to fit big heads like mine. This is a wired headset with a 3.5mm jack. It's a clean looking, bright, white with lime green padding and cable. There is a volume dial on the Left ear cup, along with a rigid mic that swings up out of the way when not in use. The ear cups are large and cover your entire ear so they do a great job of isolating the sound. The sound quality is solidly good and much better than I would have expected for a $40 headset. The mic quality is good, too. Not as good as my separate, Blue Snowball mic but better than most headset mics. Best of all, it adjusts to fit my big headed family. We have huge heads and often have trouble with headsets being too tight for comfort. Not the case with these. I have a family of gamers and everyone was impressed with these for the price.

Works on almost anyhing with a headphone jack.
These headphones are lightweight and on their smallest setting fit acceptably so over my very petite head. I often find that headphones flop around on my head way too much because they are made for much larger heads. I had an issue where they were not recognized by computer at first. I couldn't hear anything through them and the PC wasn't emiting any sound from the speakers when they were plugged in. After I plugged in a different pair of Sony headphones which did work after that they worked fine. Not sure what the issue was but more likely was something to do with the PC than the headphones but if you encounter the same thing try plugging in another headphone or set of earbuds. Though they are lightweight they do not breathe very well so my ears were quite warm after a while. The sound quality was also good. They are pretty basic and simple to use. They should plug and play with any device that has a headphone jack. The mic is active when down and muted when up. The earpieces can swivel inwards so that you can store them a little more flat for travel or storage. The master volume on the headphones is controlled with a wheel on the back side of the earpiece but it's not clearly marked which way is higher or lower though using it will quickly tell you which is which. Like most gaming headphones this is not designed with a left handed user in mind. The mic can only sit on the left side. It's short enough that it doesn't come directly in front of the face so drinking something or eating something will probably not cause you to bump into the mic too much with your hand but some people may have to adjust their way of holding something or put the mic up into a neutral position while eating/drinking certain things. I have not yet tested the microphone but I'm assuming it's decent quality along the lines of what I'd expect based on the rest of the headphone's quality which overall has been very good. I do think that $40 is a little high since I didn't notice any major difference and sound quality compared to my other headphones which cost much less (granted they didn't have built in mics but, still I think these are a bit pricey). If the microphone is not up to par I'll update this review.
