I don't know what a $1000 phone can do, but this phone can do everything I need a cell phone to do, and more for a quarter of the cost. It goes all day on a charge. It charges quickly. I'm really pleased with this phone, and I don't think I will ever let a service provider hold me hostage via a lease for an overpriced phone. This phone works GREAT with GOOGLE-Fi.

Phone has a 2.2GHZ processor. It is an Android One phone, meaning that Google will update your phone instead of the service provider. Updates to latest Android OS Pie (9.0). If this phone was made by Samsung, they probably would charge about $500.00 Dollars for it. I love the phone. Very fast, very responsive, very nicely made. Just like another viewer said, the update to OS 9.0 took a lot of reboots. Almost entire day. However, this depends on how the phone comes and what updates are there to make it transition to OS 9.0 smoothly. Sometimes you can not just jump from one OS to the latest. This is normal for any hardware. No big deal. Live with it and eventually, you will see OS 9.0. My previous phone was an LG. I had a Samsung 64GB SD card in the LG and I could read that SD card in any computer. Moving it directly to Moto X4, it did not work. Moto X4 just hang trying to read it and would not allow me to even format it. Eventually, I moved it to a PC, format it with Fat32 and moved it back to Moto X4. Reformatted it in Moto X4 just to be sure. It worked perfectly. Moved all my music back to SD. Again, no big deal. I do not think this was a problem with the phone. This probably was caused by Android OS 9.0. So I am not blaming the phone. Please note, when you purchase a phone, you want to make sure it offers Android OS 9.0 Pie at least (Latest at this time). I want to experience the latest OS and the features. No matter how nice the phone is, if it does not offer the latest OS, it is no good. Android One, finally, why it took so long. Google should have the final say over what OS my phone can or can not handle not a service provider that wants me to buy a new phone every year. The SD and sim tray, I am not a fan. It just looks old technology. I rather have a push in and lock mechanism. But it works, so no problem. If you have the extra money, purchase the 64GB version of this phone. Definitely worth it because Android OS almost takes about 20G of that memory. So you are only left with about 12G for apps and others. I love this phone. I have ordered another one for my son. Definitely recommend it.

I purchased two of the Android One version of these phones for both myself and my daughter. We both really like them a lot and they are very fast compared to our old phones. The camera seems to take good pictures and the reaction time of the phone seems very good. There are a lot of updates to install when you first get it setup, but I consider that a good thing and that means things are getting worked out usually for the better. The screen is nice and very bright and the battery life is fantastic. It also comes with a 3A charger that charges it very quickly. Overall, both myself and my daughter are very satisfied with the performance and look of the phone.

Perfect excellent quality and price, fast updates Android system very fast stock, very good cameras excellent battery life, very fast charging, excellent materials, very premium sensation in hand, as a Motorola user in recent years I have nothing bad to say of Motorola products, excellent quality and price something that Apple and Samsung should learn.

Needed a phone quickly as my ZTE Axon 7 became very sluggish and battery life was terrible (2 yrs old so expected). The Moto X4 works well for me, especially since it is a Android One phone, and is almost pure Android. Plus it has a few Moto action features. Didn't think I would like the fingerprint sensor on the front but I love it. Not sure how long I will use this as daily driver (it would become my second phone; I have a work and personal cell numbers). Waiting for the new ZTE Axon phone to be released and hoping it has dual sim like the 7 does. I also have a T-Mobile sim (I'm in Canada) that I use when I cross the border.

The size is just right. I love the fingerprint reader. The battery life seems really good, but I had one time when the battery seemed to discharge too quickly. It has never happened again and I could never figure out why that happened. Usually I can go two days without charging-considering I am not a heavy user this seems to be fairly good. One thing I don't like is the fact there is no WiFi calling option. This would be a very big red flag, except our wireless provider (Consumer Cellular) can't offer WiFi calling to AT&T customers. Overall I have been pleased with the performance and the number of "bells and Whistles" for the low price ($150 at Amazon).

I actually bought this phone last year, but couldn't stand the horribly low amount of internal storage, but now that a 64 GB model is available it is an excellent phone! I do recommend getting said model even if the price is $50 more. The 64 GB version has 47 GB available and 4 GB of ram, making multi-tasking easier and having the phone be a tad more future proof. Battery life is pretty good, I'd expect a full day's use on a single charge. It'll need topping off at night of course, but thankfully the quick charge here is incredibly fast. Went from 20% to fully charged in little over an hour. Only complaint so far is the charger's cable is way too short. Get a 3rd party cable from Anker to help with that. Runs stock 9.0 very well, no hiccups or slowdown thus far. Even has the Moto gestures which are pretty handy. It feels like a budget Pixel phone. Have a factory reset once you get it caught up with all the updates, it'll help with performance and battery life. The processor is nice for gaming. Obviously not going to be on par with flagships, but it'll do just fine. (Plays Pokémon Go wonderfully and many other 3D games with almost no slowdown) I put a screenshot of my Geekbench score for an idea of what to expect. Only downside is the camera. Not the best by any means, it can be improved with a modded version of the Pixel camera called GCMod5. (Look on the XDA Developers forums for a link) My pictures here of the sunset and horse statue are taken in this order from 1st to last: Stock camera Wide angle camera GCMod5 While the stock cameras produce 'okay' results, the GCMod5 camera is way better in low light. Overall, I wouldn't exactly call this a flagship killer; but for this price it absolutely can be. While it has all the 'features' of a flagship, just don't expect it to be as good. Meaning it CAN take 1080p 60fps video, it can shoot 4K videos, has NFC and all other hardware sensors (Proximity, light sensor, gyroscope, etc.) it won't do some things as well as a Galaxy device or Pixel. But it has a headphone jack, which is nice.

First off, I'm a huge fan of Motorola phones. My first smartphone was a Motorola Photon. I did a bunch of research on the Samsung S2, which was the hot new phone at the time but switched to the Moto at the last second. My wife got the Samsung, so I got to see both sides. My Moto was so much better. I got the first Moto X, which had some features I liked but quickly moved on to the Moto X2 pure edition. That has been my phone for the last 3 years. The phone was great outside of the crappy battery life and being built around a micro USB port. The only issue beyond those two items was that I got one with too little memory. I've been keeping an eye on things for a while and finally pulled the trigger on the Moto X4 64 GB. I love the price point and am completely happy with the fact that it is everything I am used to, but has addressed all the things I haven't liked about my previous Moto X models.

Upgraded from MOTO G5+ that fried the battery. MOTO X4 transferred all apps and data seamlessly. Finger print reader is super fast and accurate. Love the dual cameras. Rear camera quality is a big step up from the MOTO G5 plus. Battery life is about the same as the MOTO G5 plus. I do like the larger charging port on the X4. LOVE that it is an android one phone. It updated to android 9 as soon as I powered it up. Would highly recommend this phone.

I really enjoy using this phone. The interface is so clean and crisp (android one version). I have Verizon, all I had to do was pop in my Sim card from my old phone and the service worked pronto. I changed to this from an Iphone and was able to transfer over my contacts easily as well. I mainly use this for web browsing, instagram, podcasts, youtube, reddit, and other various apps all of which run very smooth. Battery life is very good, the phone charges very quickly as well. Screen is nice and the phone is not too big or bulky. The camera has been a nice surprise, it has a wide angle option which I am exited to try out on some hikes. The speaker is pretty good for a phone, loud enough for listening while int he bathroom. The night mode feature is nice as well, taking away the blue light at night. I purchased this phone for 150$ great deal at that price.
