Works great for both pellets and flakes.

I bought 3 one for a smaller tank of fish, one for a larger group of fish and one for a turtle. I am able to adjust how much and how often u want the food to come out. It works with both small pellets for the turtle and flakes for the fish. The only complaint I could have is that it only holds enough of the turtle food for 5 days. But other than that they work great.

Longivity

This is the second NICREW Automatic Fish Feeder I have purchased. The first one over a year ago and it continues to work like a charm. Had to ad a second unit as fish have grown to a point one feeder need refilled once a week. I needed two week capabilities. I just wish the food containers was clear to allow visibility of food content with out having to remove the container frequently just to see how much is left.

Works great

I gave 5 stars because I bought two of them for my two fish tanks. Both of them are working as expected. The fish gather below the feeder at the dispense time. Now I don't have to worry about being away for many weeks or even a month.

Works with all kind of food. Even flakes.

Easy to set, but follow small instructions and not the ones with Chinese letters, that's a different model. Like the fact that food door can be adjusted to feed one fish or 15 at a time. Only one thing, it fits 50 gallons tanks or smaller. I have a 75 gallon tank and had to cut inside lip of cover holder to make it fit. Otherwise, it works fine and good investment if you travel often.

Great low cost option!

Really liked this feeder, the ooonly minor negative was that we have nano fish and ended up needing to tape half the opening to give a small enough amount. But even then, it worked awesome for our entire 10 day trip and saved us having to have someone come feed our fish in all our many fish tanks! I would absolutely recommend this! It handled flakes and pellets with ease!

Awesome Feeder!

So I’m reading some comments and it’s kind of funny that people are having trouble with the batteries. Let me just clear this up you remove the drum to insert the batteries... they go in just as easy as any other device! Ok, now that is cleared up I’m writing this review because this feeder is awesome! I find it easier to program than other feeders I have used in the past. I love the dispensing mechanisms with the sliding adjustable door. This feeder can program 5 feedings a day and rotate 3 times each feeding . The manual feeding button rotates the drum one time. This feeder looks cool, and you can put it on a Rimless tank by clipping it on or set it on the lid of your aquarium flat! It can hold a ton of food to feed massive cichlids but can also dispense very little amounts to feed a single betta. I can’t say enough how awesome it is, if you are on the fence deciding to buy this or another it a safe bet for me!

Good product, test many times to ensure consistency

This device has been a life safer. I bought this because we are not at home during holidays. This feeder is just what i need to keep my fishes well fed throughout the day. I set it up for 1 feedings every 8 hours. The Set up is easy because it is digital and you can also set how much food you would want to give. Using small floating pellets and the dial portion control is great after a few practice runs and tweaking appropriate intervals.

Works well

Works well. Used it while on vacation for a week. You gotta mess with it until you get it set up with the right amount of food that you want to come out consistently. You have the option to schedule it to rotate multiple time per feeding. You can also schedule it to feed multiple times per day.

Good product for the aquarium(1st impression)

I have a 10-gallon aquarium. This product has a good size. I have watched many Youtube videos of all kind of auto fish feeders before I order this. I was worried if my choice is wrong. Because many YouTubers recommended the Eheim everyday fish feeder and I have agreed on the opinions. The Nicrew, however, is a good company of fish product and I want to trust the company for its history of improvements. Someone said this product is a generic of Eheim, but I think it is improved one. Air fan and ventilation system are so far so good. I use a flake type of food and I crushed it for the auto feeding system. Round food drum is a good size and shapes for auto feeding. I will write my 2nd review after 3 weeks of use.
