Overall: This headphone is amazing! I've used numerous other brands that are over the ear headsets. I wouldn't say this is the perfect headset but it's definitely top of the list with excellent sound quality & comfort. Active noise-cancellation is also top notch. It comes with a solid case which is great for travel. For this price point ($69.99 price I paid), you shouldn't compare with $250-$350+ major brands but I would strongly try these as strong contender and pocket extra savings. It's been only 2 weeks so time will tell whether this will do over next couple of months. Sounds Quality: Excellent sound overall with great bass. Not an audiophile myself but happy with the sound. Comfort: It's a snug fit at first but once you get it right it's really comfortable. The ear padding is excellent and blocks out the sounds from leaking. Will have to see how long the padding lasts but it seems to be durable material. Battery: Used straight 2 days over the weekend but didn't need to charge yet. Haven't tested fully acclaimed up to 30 hours but so far happy with the battery hold. Also comes with usb cable for charging & audio cable. Control: All the controls around the headset are intuitive. Bluetooth Pairing was easy to setup. Phone call: Haven't used but most likely not the feature I would actively use. Active Noise Cancellation: Probably the best feature of this headset. I would definitely recommend comparing white noise cancellation against B* & S*. I liked how the NC control is separate that doesn't require power on.

Great ANC Headphones for $50!

I was looking for a quality but not too expensive ANC over ear headphones for my daughter. We travel a frequently and I find that ANC headphones are a huge plus for long plane rides, the airplane noise actually makes the body very fatigued. This one seems to fit the bill for what I was looking for. I have the Bose QC35 and I passed my older Bose QC25 with wire (however I bought a Bolle and Raven adapter to convert those to wireless) to my other teen. This Boltune headphone cost the same price as the Bolle and Raven adapter alone! It comes with a nice zip around case along with airplane adapter and charging micro USB. The actual headphones are a bit heavy compared to the Bose but overall sound quality is great! The profile on the earphone is a bit thicker than the Bose. The Bose is always on ANC when it’s on. The Boltune has a separate button to turn on the ANC. The Bose ANC function is more of a significant difference when it’s on. I put on both headphones on and turned it off and on to test just ambient noise in my house with the radio on. The Bose advertises 20-hour battery life as wireless this one says 30 hours. I do like the fact that the Bose announces the battery level the minute I turn it on. Both headphones I can leave my phone in my kitchen and walk all the way up stairs to the other side of my house and still listen to my music. They start breaking up at the same place, approximately 80 feet away. So with a quick side by side comparison I think this Boltune at $49.99 (plus when I got it there was a 5% off coupon), is a great headphones for the price! For 1/6th of the price of the Bose this is a great buy for my teen!

Great Headset for Long Commutes and Travel

This is the perfect headset if you have a really long commute. I had a Bose headset with a wire. But the wire would routinely get tangled. And was especially cumbersome when getting in and out of an airplane seat or car seat. I have been searching for a Blue Tooth head set in my price range for a while now. And came across this GEM. Comparing Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 headset to my existing BOSE, I would say: (1) Boltune is definitely more affordable; (2) The Protein Ear-pads are awesome and totally an upgrade from Bose; (3) Bluetooth means no wire. I love that I don't have to feel like a prisoner. Shackled by a wire when getting in and out of a seat. (4) And it works with all my gadgets seamlessly. Unlike my Bose wired headset. I have to always keep track of the extra attachment for my iPhone and iPad. With the Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 headset I can connect to my Laptop, iPhone, iPad, TV. I carpool from Riverside CA to LA everyday. About a 2 hour commute. The noise cancelling quality is a must. So I can fall a sleep to and from work. I love these things. Probably the best purchase I've made this year.

Comfortable, portable, and long lasting battery

really nice fit and comfy ear pads. 4 hours of gaming and no ear fatigue. it extends and retracts to fit multiple head sizes. headset comes in a protective and zippered semi hard pouch. you can use them wirelessly or wired with provided audio cable. it takes a micro usb cable which is also provided. headset semi folds into the protective pouch. i wish it folded down more so it'll be more compact. sound quality, amazingly was almost as good as my sony WH1000XM3. my sony had a bit more bass and clarity in the sound but i can't compare side by side as after a year my sony headset stopped working. i didn't want to spend another $350 for a replacement and looked for a budget headset. company also boasts 18 month warranty on their headset! bluetooth distance was pretty amazing just as good as my sony. i could go upstairs or downstairs with little or no distortion. connection would start cutting in/out once i was in my backyard. bluetooth pairing was a breeze and found the device immediately. while test calling i could hear everyone very clearly and other said they couldn't even tell i was on a wireless headset. i think it's due to the dual mics. one mic on each side of the headset *thumbs up* as for battery life. i'm still on the single charge. i played 4 hours of games, then watched a movie the next day for 1.5, then played another 2 to 3 hours of games and haven't charged it yet. loving this headset and price point!

Amazing ANC Headphones

The Blotune headphones come with a nice durable carrying case where you can take the headphones anywhere without worrying about them getting damaged. Inside the carrying case is a small net which holds the owners manual and the 3.5mm audio cable along with a USB charging cable. The headphones sit comfortably on my head and ears, I had been wearing them for hours at a time without discomfort. The build quality of the headphones and accessories is pretty sturdy, I can tell that this headphone will last a long time. The controls on the headphones are very intuitive and easy to control the power, active noise canceling, volume, pause/play, and next/previous track (long press volume button). The earcups can swivel so that it can rest comfortably on your chest while on your neck when not being used. I tested these headphones with the Ultimate Headphones (and Earphones) Test which you can find on the AudioCheck's website. I was able to hear the frequencies from 20Hz-15kHz clearly, without any distortion or leveling issues. The left and right drivers are matched up perfectly. The built-in microphone worked well and the other person could hear my voice clearly throughout the whole call. I didn't experience any problems with pairing and playing sound through the Bluetooth headphones when connected to my iPhone, Android tablet, and Macbook. There was a slight delay when watching videos and then hearing the corresponding sound, but it wasn't a deal breaker since I listen to music most of the time. You can offset the audio so that the video and audio track are synced up. The range on the Bluetooth was the part that actually surprised me, I could listen to music clearly and loudly while still being 40 feet away from my phone. I was even able to leave my phone on the 2nd level of my house and listen to music while moving around on the 1st level. The sound quality while on Bluetooth was about the same as when plugged into the audio cable; the loudness was about 1db louder when plugged in. When turning on the active noise canceling in a quiet environment, you can hear a little bit of white noise which is to be expected. I tried the active noise canceling while playing music from another speaker, running the vacuum cleaner, and having someone talk to me. The active noise canceling worked really well blocking out the lower frequencies, you can still hear the higher frequencies but it is quieter. It works even better when you have some music playing through the headphones with active noise canceling on; I couldn't even hear that someone was talking to me or the music playing from the other speaker. These headphones only took 48 minutes to charge from empty to full. I was able to get a little over 23 hours of battery life on a full charge with ANC on at 70% volume; with normal use, I would say that you could easily get over 30 hours of battery life out of the headphones. Overall, these headphones provide really good sound quality and comfort while also offering active noise canceling in noisier environments at a price that could be comparable to a much more expensive one!

AS GOOD AS BEATS for certain aspects!

Look we already know Beats is great but it's $14 headphones packaged and branded for insane mark ups. Those things are a statement and in my opinion, not essential at all. The world of electronics has leveled out and smaller lesser known companies are leveling up. Boltune is a relatively unknown brand but the product is awesome. It performs just as well as my Beats headphones and for travel or on the road, it's perfect. Less is more. Here's my favorite parts. The Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity is the same in terms of connecting with devices but the range seems to be better. From one end of my home to the other, it doesn't skip a beat, literally. The comfort level for the ears for long periods of time is satisfactory. It's not bad, but it's not anything excellent. If you wear glasses like me, it's a bit harder since your ears can get a little soar overtime. But of course I don't actually have that much time to sit around and watch movies or music regardless. Love these, a much more affordable yet quality product. Also comes with a carrying case to keep all the little lint out of there that sits in your bags haha.

No compromise on quality - works well for my budget!

I recently upgraded to an Iphone XR that does not have an audio jack, so I could no longer use my noise-cancelling earbuds. I found this Boltune and was debating on whether it would be a good replacement. Since I travel frequently, the quality of noise-cancelling is important. And my second concern was the comfort of the headphones since I'd been using earbuds. I was very pleased when I tried this Boltune. 1. The headphones blocked out sounds really well even without the noise-cancelling. I first tried it at home without the noise-cancelling. I could not even hear the TV sounds once I had them on. But my main test was when I took it in the car and tried it with the noise-cancelling. This feature works great. 2. The headphones were suprisingly comfortable on the ears. The padding was soft, and I actually used it for a couple hours before my ears needed a break. Other plus points: The pairing with my Iphone was quick and easy. The moment I turned it on, my Iphone detected it and paired immediately. The sound quality was wonderful. I tested it with some pop music and could hear the bass and the treble notes well. The battery was already charged when I received it, but after I played around with it for an hour, I plugged it in for a full charge. I haven't had to charge it yet after using it for a few days. The Boltune came in a sturdy case for storage. Thing to note: I couldn't figure out how to reset the connection, so I contacted the seller. I was told to try pressing the Power button and the Volume + button simultaneously. That did the trick, and the customer service was great.

The best ANC I've tried. Sound quality is not excellent, but really really good!

Background: I have been traveling a lot for business over the past couple years. During travel, I have noticed more and more folks using over-ear ANC (Active Noise-Cancelling) headphones. I have tried the $300+ headphones but was never impressed enough to spend the money. As each year passes, I hope that someone comes up with an affordable set of quality ANC headphones. I don’t think we’re there yet, but we’re getting close. I have been searching and reviewing specifications for <$70 sets almost every year. The specs and features are getting better every year. Recently, A friend brought the Boltune ANC headphones to my attention. They had the right stuff at the right price, so I thought I’d give ‘em a try. Product Packaging: They come with a travel-pouch. So... pouch in bag… in box. Components: 1) Pouch: Sturdy high-density foam with easy-zip. Inside has netting for cables (and manual if you can’t remember how to pair or clear pairing memory. I suggest making a note and sticking it in your wallet 2) Cables: a) Direct-connect 4ft (1,220mm) 3.5mm right-angle/straight. They aren’t very flexible, but have (apparent) gold plated connections b) USB to mini-USB for charging. Cable is 32in (812mm) 3) Headphones: a) Unlike movie stars, the Boltune headphones are better looking in person. The dogahide PU leather covering the earpieces and headband look comfy… and they are b) The slip-fit is sturdy and not super easy to adjust while wearing—as they should be c) The lowest portion of the headband has some sharp edges, but nothing to worry about d) They fold nicely to be stored in the provided pouch or your carry-on Feel: 1) These are quite soft. The foam is just right… not too firm… not too soft 2) If adjusted properly, they can be worn comfortably for hours. One of the reasons why I like earbuds for travel is that I sleep against the window. I will report on how that goes with over-ear headphones after my next long flight Setup: 1) No issues pairing. If you have the headphones on… turn them off by holding the power button for 5 or so seconds. Turn off the ANC switch. Hold the power button until the blue light flashes indicating that headphones are ready to pair. 2) If your pairing memory ever gets full, you can clear it by holding volume “-“ and power button for 7 seconds Calls: 1) My wife said that normal conversation in a quiet environment was clear and loud. I’ll try in a noisy airport the next time I fly. 2) It’s always weird not being able to hear yourself while talking on the phone… something I need to get used to Battery: 1) Battery performance was a little bit better than advertised... so 5-stars for battery performance 2) After running them down (Bluetooth cut out) I got around 3-hours with ANC engaged on a short-charge 3) I wasn’t watching the charge cycle that closely, but I can say that it was around 7 minutes. 4) I have more than 20 hours of use on a full-cycle charge and they're still going. I'll update with statistics once I get a few cycles on the batter. So far, very impressed Sound: Equipment: Samsung S7 Edge Application: Pi Music Player How the evaluation was performed: Pi has some nice equalizer features… and a kill switch for all effects to allow the listener to hear everything raw. For each song, I got the equalizer set up to perfection… listened to the song with earbuds, then switched to the Boltune headphones to compare I performed the evaluations with my 3D-printer going in the background. My computer fans are usually noticeable as well. I could not hear the fans at all. I could only hear the printer momentarily during large moves. In general, the ANC is probably the best I’ve heard (next to my ANC shooting-range earmuffs) From the list of songs that I use, you’ll see that I’m not a banger or heavy rock guy. I do tend to prefer thumpy low-end and crisp/shiny cymbals and highs. I have tried some of the high end ANC headphones from the other company who’s name starts with B… Those come thumpy out of the box. I had to play with the equalizer for a while trying to get a balance. In the end, I got better than satisfactory results. Artist / Song / Reason for that song (duration) / Comments: Supertramp / Take The Long Way Home (1:00)/ I wanted to hear the strings against the quiet in the beginning of the song, then the crash of the piano, and harmonica / Both very quiet at the beginning. Boltunes performed well. Almost perfect ANC silence waiting for the strings to come in. Magnifique! Ramsey Lewis / Apres Vous / Crisp drums w/ strong bass-line and subtle piano (0:40) / With the EQ set they way that I would normally set it, I lost the piano. When I turned off the EQ I could hear the piano much better… I actually preferred the song raw better than EQ’d. There was just little distortion on the high end. Not bad! Yanni (Lauren Jelenkovich) / Usignolo (Nightingale) / Bass and clearness of buttery voice (1:45) / This seems to be the tough one for all headphones. I know that it’s not the recording since it plays perfectly through my Mackie monitor speakers and a pair of ANC earbuds that I’ve had for nearly a decade. I hear undesired harmonics at around 3-6kHz. It’s tolerable at low and mid volumes, but intolerable at high volumes Keiko Matsui / Journey To The Heart (2:58-3:30) / Dobro against piano against strings / In general, good performance. The string bass was a little muddy regardless of EQ or raw. The dobro cut through really well and seemed crisp. The piano was a little bit distorted in the 3-6kHz range. Within Temptation / Our Farewell (1:20-1:50) / The “s” of a feminine voice and the transition at 1:41 / Mixed results. Listening to this song without EQ was unbearable at reasonable levels. Just too much distortion. With EQ, it was quite good though subdued. Turing off the ANC made things better, but that’s not the way I would usually use these headphones. Summary: I tried the headphones connected directly to my phone and PC. I got a good comparison on my phone. I could not distinguish the difference (as expected). I could not pair the headphones with my PC (my PC’s problem, not the headphones). I was able to compare some of the songs with my phone’s music app and finer EQ on my PC. The results were comparable (distortion in the same frequency range) The phone features are a nice bonus. I’m a bit of a tech idiot. I use regular earbuds until I get on the plane. I will probably use only just prior takeoff/landing. For folks who would use this feature on a regular basis… the system works very well. The Boltune ANC headphones are well-priced at $70 (at time of review). If you need Active Noise Cancellation, these are some of the best I’ve tried (including the other B-company’s at >$300). The quality of the sound is 7 out of 10 for most audio (with EQ). Without EQ, I give them a 5.5 out of 10 at medium to high volumes.
