I purchased instead of purchasing an iPhone 7 plus adapter to replace my iPhone 6s adapter for my BMW. I just plugged the extension cable into the lighting tip and have all the functions and use of apps designed to integrate with the car. Really works great. Note: Apps are not otherwise accessible by Bluetooth by plugging the phone into the USB aux port. The package is beautiful and item looks like manufactured well. Very satisfied!!! I used this apple extension cable to extend the proprietary cable in my 2018 Audi Q3. It works perfectly. I’m still able to play the music and the track info is still displayed on my car’s screen. I used it about 2 months, no issues at all. Other people are reporting that it does not transmit music data. It works for me. I think the reason maybe is the extension length too long . Cables are designed to work for a certain length. The longer a cord is, the thicker it has to be, and more power is needed to push that data through. Good luck!
