We live on the top floor (5th) of a mid rise in Downtown Phoenix. We’ve been keeping our patio door and bedroom windows open all Spring due to the pleasant weather. The screens don’t have a tight enough weave, so they’ve allowed these pesky gnats and fruit flies into our apartment home. The gnats like to make their way around our Layla’s dog food & water. After I plugged in the GLOUR Bug Zapper above Layla’s water/food bowls, we immediately saw a complete difference around her dishes. I used this product to zap the pesky flying insects that sneak in. This thing works well for the area it’s set up to work for. The light isn’t distracting. It’s like a black light and I haven’t cleaned it yet but as you can see, it’s working. It doesn’t make any noise just being plugged in and has a switch as well. Totally worth the buy! And will probably buy more.

Perfect this summer

Summer is fast approaching and this is just perfect. We live beside a pond and mosquitos are one of my concerns. This is for indoor and it just works fine. I like that its small enough and color isn't attractive for kids to be touch all the time. Even though its made of plastic its looks sturdy and will Not break after my kiddos first throw.

You get what you pay for (awaiting working item replacement for testing)

I was very disappointed with this item. With promise, I hoped to get a bug zapper that was convenient and would go right on my kitchen counter outlet, what a convenience. Unfortunately, the "zapper" was very dim, not bright at all, (the wattage on my counter is rated to power a leafblower, so no power issues there), half of the LED lights were dead as well. Not to mention, there is no way to clean the device, the bugs would fall right into the electrical and pc board / wire area. Not to mention the risk of electric shock, because this device comes equipped with no ground, if you do not ground the current charge in the device with a metal object, you will be shocked when you try to "clean" the device. FINALLY after just one day of use, I unplugged it to see if there were any bugs caught. The metal socket prongs on the back CAME OFF! They were STUCK in the outlet. In my entire life never has something like this happened before because even in the most poorly quality controlled factories there is at least the basic understanding of the risk of electrical shock from poor installation of AC connectors. Had these been stuck and a child come into contact with them, they would be dead, not to mention an adult who does not expect their product to literally rip apart when unplugging it from the wall. I am awaiting a working item from the seller to test and see if this was just the result of a one time error or a quality control issue. Thank you.
