• FDA food grade - safe for use on wood and bamboo cutting boards, countertops, utensils, salad bowls and wood products
  • Pure USP mineral oil - highest quality white mineral oil for food contact with tamper seal, unlike lower quality bulk mineral oil for non-food use
  • Restores and protects wood - hydrates, seals and penetrates deeply into wood to protect from water to prevent cracking and drying. Great for granite, soapstone, knives, garden equipment and more!
  • Easy to use - push and twist cap makes it secure and easy to pour
  • Made in USA - stringent quality, not imported from China

I needed some mineral oil to help protect my new end-grain cutting board, so I took to Amazon to look for the right choice. I came across this product which had great reviews, and provided me with enough mineral oil to last me a very long time. And did I mention that the price wasn't too shabby either? Well, it wasn't. It's the best combination of price for the quantity on a highly rated product that you can find. One small criticism would be of the bottle. Since it is a large quantity of mineral oil and it's not a highly viscous substance, pouring it from the bottle when the bottle is full can be a bit messy. I tried to transfer the mineral oil to a smaller container for a better more controlled pour, but ended up spilling some in the process. It would ideal if they could provide some sort of inner cap that helps control the pour a little better since it either pours too much or results in a bunch of oil dripping down the side of the bottle. A small complaint for a product that gets the job done!

this made wonders with my black stone sink that looked ugly covered with the water stains. I expected it to last only a week or two before needing to apply again but it has been 3 or 4 weeks now and the color is still rich black. Also beautified all the wood cutting boards and utensils. And it did an excellent job seasoning the skillet and dutch oven.

I use this oil on my walnut and alder counter tops. The oil brings the wood to life. It gives it a beautiful finish. I'm not a fan of polyurethane finishes, I don't like the shiny plastic coat it leaves. This oil has no smell and it is very easy to apply. I apply the oil once a month. It doesn't leave a oily finish that would transfer to anything.

I made some cheese boards from cherry. I needed a food grade mineral oil to seal and finish them. Going by the reviews on Amazon I went with Thirteen Chefs. It applies and cleans up easily. It gives the cherry a rich finish that gets a little darker with each application. I am very happy with the product. I am looking for a new project to use it on.

The oil is easy to use and food safe. Besides mineral oil the liquid contains beeswax to further brighten and protect cutting boards. I apply a light coat on my butcher block about once a month. After putting it on, the top is clean & renewed. Try it.

I have already tested out this Mineral oil on a Baby's cot first, (as they often want to teeth on them)!! I have also made my first Bread Board as a "trial" run, to see how the oil performed. I have been making Bread Boards for over 25 years, and have yet to find an oil that could come anywhere near the quality this Mineral oil from 13 Chefs gave me. Thank you 13 Chefs; in the future I will be purchasing more of your products for other projects in the future.

Fast shipping. Oil of excellent quality, without color and odors, is well absorbed into the wood structure preventing drying

Fast delivery, and good value. They provided just plain mineral oil, without the need for "additives", which was what was needed. The only improvement that I can conceive would be to add a pump or nozzle. Despite trying to be careful, the bottle was coated in the oil before I had finished treating an 8' butcher board countertop.

We are in the middle of installing a giant butcher block island in our kitchen-with a sink in it, so it is essential that the wood is well treated to prevent problems. Thirteens Chefs Food Grade Mineral Oil was just the product. It was easy to pour and spread-treating the entire surface evenly. We still have a good amount left, so we will be able to continue to treating the surface with it. I would recommend this to anyone looking to work with a butcher block. Great product, especially for the price.

No scent and easy to cover wooden cutting boards and utensils. Just spread with a clean rag & good to go. Only thing I would like is a pour spout on the container that allowed the oil to fun down the side of the container less.
