Decent quality decorative quill pen set that can be practically used

This set is unique in that it comes with 2 inks (many manufacturers remove the actual ink and only provide an empty bottle in order to save shipping costs). The nibs that come with it are not the same quality as the 1 detailed nib, but they are all usable. That said, these are budget nibs and the pen is only meant for occasional use or decoration. Using this is a daily scribe for calligraphy may prove uncomfortable and shorten the life of the quill (the feather is only barely attached into a wood base in the end of the barrel's body). My kit arrived largely undamaged and beautifully packed (the ribbon is a nice touch!), however; the very tip of the silver pheasant feather is torn. This is par for the course for something in this price range (under $50), so don't be surprised if your silver pheasant feather also has imperfections or small tears. This is NOT a museum quality replica! Still, it gets the job done and looks the part. I bought this for occasional letter writing (on tea stained Indian cloth parchment paper) to my sweetheart.

Absolutely works

So I had a wedding this last week, and while my dress covered most of my tattoo, the edges were still left exposed. I needed something to cover up about a two-inch border area (my tattoo is my whole upper back no color). I got this and mixed it for my skin tone and applied. Immediately the tattoo was gone! It took only a couple minutes. I'm stunned. It also didn't get on my dress, and we partied until 6am... Stuff works, and for the price, it is a great buy if you need to cover up a tattoo for a special occasion. Five stars!

Very good camouflage make, I use this as my foundation to cover blemishes, but it covers all sorts including tattoos. I found the item to fit the description it was sold, and it does exactly what it said it to do in package. A good purchase, does what it states and skin looks nice after use. I would recommend this to anyone who wants not just the perfect concealer but the perfect foundation.

Purchased as a gift for my teen daughter. Beautiful box and she was very excited that the feather looks like one from Harry Potter's owl. She says they write very well, and was happy this set does come with the ink in the bottle.

Beautiful pen that's quite functional, with everything needed for beginners to produce beautiful writing

*Free product provided for evaluation and review.* This is a beautifully boxed, delightful calligraphy set. It's quite functional as well, with 5 different nibs that are a good assortment of sizes. The nibs hold a good amount of ink. The 5mm nib is the only one that I found myself having to dip often. I was able to write an entire paragraph with the 2 smaller nibs, one unnumbered, and one a smaller size 5. I'm far from an expert on calligraphy; I just like to write. I have studied it some years ago though. It is taking me a bit of practice to get the feel for the nibs, my main complaint right now is that there's not a nib included that is as fast as I need one to be for good flourishes. They are basic, no-brand nibs. There's 5 included. I write very fast though, beginners won't mind. More advanced writers will add their own preferred nibs. This is a good set to learn basic calligraphy and explore the art of writing and gain skill. The main thing for me is to get the nib on in such a way that the pen is balanced, but the nib is touching the paper at about 45 degrees angle. It comes with 2 bottles of ink, which I am now wearing a lot of; the colors are yellow, and black. Usually I'd like a basic set with red and black, but since I have those already, it was nice to get some yellow ink. It does come with a stick of wax to seal a letter or put a seal on something. I do like the box- it has an attractive, old world cartography theme- and will keep the pen in it. It does not come with a stand, but this pen would fit in a regular stand if you wanted to acquire one for display. I just like keeping everything in the box. Pens are such magickal things. They are the true wands- they have changed the world many times, in many ways, and when used well, the writing they produce can transcend time. I think this makes a very nice gift. Whether one wants to learn calligraphy or just develop their own style of writing, it's a very functional, pretty set that's a joy to work with. The pictures are of writing produced with this pen with just a bit of practice. It is just practice, no particular style, just getting a feel for the pen. The true advantage of a set like this is that it's attractiveness can really encourage beginners and young writers. Note: The ink does wash off for the most part. It comes out of clothing with alcohol. I learned this the hard way. Now if I can figure out how to get it off my cat...

My daughters best friend moved out of state

My daughters best friend moved out of state. Both of them are avid Harry Potter fans. She's currently on book five. She asked for a quill so she can write her friend letters. After looking through multiple options we decided to go with the GC quill set. This is great set, it comes with everything you would need including a candle. She's written 3 letters so far. Great buy love it!
