Long time user of quicken

I purchased this version to upgrade from 2027. It is more reliable and more analytical functions I have been using quicken to mange all of my finances for at list 15 years and not found anything better

I am a long time quicken user. Since the 1990s. I was wary about purchasing from amazon because of the bad reviews saying it didn't work. It worked fine for me. with no issues. I'm using the windows version.

A substantial and ongoing improvement

For a while the Quicken software program was on the fritz and a lot of us were wondering if the software was going to make it. There have been recent substantial improvements in the stability and quality of the software. I'm not experiencing the regular sync bugs I used to. Reporting still remains a very weak feature in Quicken. It's hard to get really good information. For example, getting a stacked bar chart that shows spending by category, by month, expressed as a percentage is nearly impossible. Getting data out of the program into Excel to do interesting pivot table analysis or real in-depth dives is hard. Still, saving $150+ once a year from a checking overdraft makes this a useful piece of software for millions. The program is showing its age and there's minimal feature parity across operating systems. This is honestly the last program that is letting leave Windows as an operating system entirely. I'm hoping the new owners of the software continue to make improvements and I like the direction they are going in. While I'd welcome a cloud version, I have my doubts.

The very best in personal finance

Quicken is a great piece of software to organize and plan your entire financial life. I think the yearly membership is a great value. I would rather have the membership structure than purchase a new version every year. I have no problems syncing to Fidelity and I track my checkbook and credit cards manually. The program receives regular bug fixes and installation and activation was a breeze. The prior year I had Quicken Deluxe. Yesterday I purchase my key for Premier on Amazon, copied the key and put it into Quicken no problems at all. Perfect out of box experience, the way it should be. Quicken has been around since the 80's and it is the defacto in financial management.

Excellent Finance Tracking program

This is an excellent program for tracking expenses! For nearly 20 years I used the Microsoft version of personal finance until it got to difficult to download information. I'm very happy with Quicken and will continue to use the product

I should have trusted it ...

I purchased this years app to prep my taxes and was surprised to find the app said we owed a rather large amount to Uncle Sam. As a precaution, I hired an accountant to make sure the figures were accurate. Both TT and the account agreed with only a few dollars difference, so it's good to have proof the program is accurate. The step by step questioning was easy to walk through and hard to mess up. The interface is easy to use. Next year, I will trust Turbo Tax once again!

Great tool with some improvements

I have been a Quicken user for years. I like the improved interface and speed that it now operates with. It is much faster than before. The analysis of expenses and individual investments is invaluable. The new subscription model is worth every penny, given the functionality and value that it adds.

Real person answeered

That sums it up. Of course Quicken is polished by now and for a non-CPA etc it is far more than sufficient. Linking to financial institutions (bank, credit card etc) was easy. But the best? Had a minor question on how to change category for a bunch of similar transactions....called....phone tree got me to right person....and he answered the question in 2-3 minutes....walking me through the very easy process. A real live person! Excellent! Only slight quibble? Product support closes at 5PM Pacific Time!!! :(
