Good source of protein
This was an experiment, we wanted to see if the squirrels and birds would eat them as a supplement to their sunflower seeds and nuts we give them. Well, the first week we set out a shallow white bowl with some mealworms...no takers. Two days later we spread them on the ground with some sunflower seeds, and they were accepted by all the critters.

Yum Yum
This is my first adventure with mealworms - got them for a new "meat eating" turtle. He seems to like them, along with a few blueberries, so if he's happy, I'm happy. I was pleased with the packaging and quality of the product (does not smell), and pleased with follow-up/follow-through of the Picky Neb folks. .

THE AMAZING MEAL WORMS
Bought these mealworms to feed the chickens in Key West, because my daughter loves chickens. In the past we used some bread and seeds to feed the chickens. But these meal warms worked 100 times better and I believe they attracted all of the chickens in the neighborhood. I never seen chickens that excited and hungry! What I personally really liked about the Picky Neb Mealwarms "since I could not taste them, but I totally would if I could" was the easy to handle and access package. The package had a resealable zip lock, that keeps the warms nice and fresh. This product is a high quality product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to feed chickens or any other type of bird species. I wish I could give them a six star review for mine and chicken satisfaction!!!! THANK YOU!!

The product is EXCELLENT!!
The product is EXCELLENT!!!! SINCE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES SUCH AS UNIFORMITY, TEXTURE. PRESEENTATION AND DESCRIPTION. The acceptance by my chickens is also excellent so I am, for sure, going to buy more.

Infested with bugs!
I bought these for our hedgehog so I was disappointed to find the bag infested with these little brown bugs that looked like beetles and they had wings and could fly! They had managed to get out of the bag so I found them all over the cage and flying in the house. When I looked in the bag I saw tons of them! I had to throw the bag out. Very disappointed. I have bought different brands before and have never had this issue. I have never seen this kind of bug in our area, so I know for a fact it came from the bag. Update 4/2/2019 The company sent me another giant bag of meal worms as a replacement. I was surprised since I never contacted them so they must have read my review. This new bag is bug free and my hedgehog loves them! I think this company has amazing customer service! I changed my rating from 1 star to 5 stars.

Fun Addition to Wild Bird Feeding
No mess so it doesn't attract other critters to the yard and feeders. Initially put them out in a dish. Took a couple days before the Robins found them. After that it was a huge hit... UNTIL the Starlings moved in and took over. Switched to sprinkling the dried mealworms throughout the yard and have a lot of fun watching the birds forage. Starlings still come along and gang-up to push away a Robin here and there, but they're not getting all of them anymore. We're pleased with the addition of dried mealworms to our wildlife feeding regimen.

Not Just for Chickens ;)
Since dried mealworms weigh next to nothing, you get quite a lot in volume with this package. They are whole and not broken in pieces, which is optimum. We don't have chickens, but we do have lots of wild dove, quail and many other wild birds, so we like to sprinkle these on and around their seed block during the cold months. I also make suet cakes for the woodpeckers and cactus wrens, and sprinkle these in during the mix (and add more on top before flattening), along with cornmeal, peanuts and raisins. I guess you could say we are very very popular with the woodpeckers! lol We get a huge kick out of watching them "stack" in a line up our tallest palms awaiting their turns (like so many airplanes on the tarmac) to zoom in and partake at the suet hanger. They must really love these mealworms as the worms seem to be to disappear out of the cakes pretty darn fast!

Just Want I Needed
I found this product on a whim while looking for freeze dried food for my bearded dragons. They eat mealworms like crazy and live gets spendy quickly. I needed something that was more budget friendly. These were exactly what I was looking to find. My little ones love them. They have had no problems with impaction when included with regular veggies and water. I feed them small amounts twice a day with their veggies and make certain that their fiber is eaten. It's just what I need for my budget and my little ones. P.S. My bearded dragons are well over 6 months old in size. Feeding small beardies shelled insects can be dangerous. Make sure you're feeding your pet the right foods for its size.

Yum! Great Product for the Birds.
This is a nice 30 oz. size that is not readily available at the stores. How big? Enough to fill a one gallon container. We have two bird feeders with seed so I sprinkle 1/4 cup of this on the patio stone under the birdbath for the bluebirds. We have five bluebirds that will dive in as soon as they see me put them down. Other species are also interested.

Our Hens love them!
This was the first time we have bought mealworms . Our Hens go nuts over them. They used to love their butternut squash in the morning, now they can't wait to have the worms mixed in with their corn and feed. I sprinkle some in the back pen with cracked corn... these are the happiest hens you have ever seen. We will be buying these regularly from now on!! I love seeing them happy and enjoying their treats! Update: We just made our second purchase: "My hen's go crazy for these worms :) and their egg production is up as well. Thank you!!"
