There are some easy to follow instructions included if you need them
We consolidated some furniture and moved two laptops onto one desk and wondered about the possibility of using one big screen monitor, one keyboard, and one mouse with both laptops. The KVM switch came to the rescue. With a push of a button now we can basically operate two laptops from one ergonomic desk station. This KVM actually allows for 4 laptops and is exapandable in the future. We didn't have to read any instructions or install any software. You just hook stuff up and it works. There are some easy to follow instructions included if you need them. The price is VERY reasonable. We are glad we found this.

The best KVM I've owned and a fraction of the price!
I love this little KVM. I can't afford a DVI switch at this time, so I picked up this little guy and it works perfectly. It is powered through the USB, so it is off when the PCs are off and goes into select mode when any or all have been turned on, so it doesn't default. Windows hasn't had a problem mis-detecting monitors even when I have booted up in select mode. That's great. My only complaints aren't really problems, but rather things I wish it had. - Slightly longer cables. Just 6" more would be great. - Have all the inputs on one side and outputs on another. I realize they did this for space and because they could, but with the inputs being on both sides, it is a pain to stretch those apposing cables and it doesn't look as nice as it could. Other than that I LOVE this compared to every other KVM I have owned.

Great product, great support.
This switch worked perfectly allowing me to switch between my work laptop and my home desktop computer easily. The added USB port also allows sharing of my USB Printer. Also support from the vendor in answering questions was handled very professionally and to my satisfaction. Would buy again from this vendor.

As advertised and came quickly. Has 4 cables for 4 computers, powered by the USB. It worked perfectly and does what it is suppose to do.

Item arrived when expected. The cables are just long enough for install in our full size network rack. Using this for 2 servers installed in the bottom of the rack, and a NVR and DVR installed in the top. No problems with the switch working between all 4 devices - quick change on the monitor - and mouse and keyboard works properly between all devices. I have not yet tried a wireless setup yet but I plan on going to a wireless mouse. Will update on that in time.

Basic HDMI KVM Switch Performs Well
Please note: Amazon mixes reviews of the 3 different JideTech switches in this category, which can confuse some readers. This review is for the HDMI KVM version which routes keyboard, mouse and audio signals from 2 devices to a single monitor or TV display via its HDMI connection. I use a couple of VGA KVM switches regularly with various desktop systems, and have recently acquired a couple of used laptops that I'd occasionally like to connect to a larger display. The JideTech switch makes this easy to accomplish, and the result is very satisfactory! I won't write a comprehensive review, as there are quite a few already that address the basics. I'll just leave some comments that may be helpful to others trying to get setup for the first time. * I'm using the switch with two different older model Toshiba laptops that have been upgraded to Windows 10. There can be inconsistencies in enabling the HDMI outputs to send signals to the external HDMI port, and until you figure out what your computer requires, it may appear that your switch is not working. In some cases, you may have to go into the 'Display' settings in Windows to access HDMI properties, or Device Manager to see if there is an HDMI device that needs to be enabled. You may find that simply connecting the cables to the switch and the monitor BEFORE starting the computer will result in your system automatically turning on its HDMI output during startup. This is probably the best-case scenario, because you don't have to hunt around for obscure settings! * If anyone is wondering if this switch passes audio, because there are no audio cables, the answer is 'Yes'. The HDMI connectors carry both video and audio signals. * There are two USB ports on the switch -- one for connecting a keyboard, and one for a mouse, for users who have separate wired devices. I use a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combination with a USB receiver, and find that both function correctly with the receiver plugged into either the keyboard or mouse USB connector on the switch. No worries! * I would agree with a previous reviewer who stated that the included documentation could be improved. It appears to be an English translation from Chinese, and there is some awkward phraseology. When dealing with technical language that may be unfamiliar to someone attempting to integrate this into his or her system, it's doubly challenging when the technical terms are explained in somewhat jumbled fashion. I think the vendor would do well to ask someone for whom English is their primary language to sit down with the instruction sheet and a switch and follow the directions to make the hook-up, as proof of clear, concise and correct documentation. In summary, I'm very pleased with the ease-of-use, the switching time and the audio/video performance of this switch. Hopefully, it will also be durable. If necessary, I'll amend my review in the event of any changes or premature failure. So far, so good! It's a keeper.

This is such an amazing and fantastic product
This is such an amazing and fantastic product. On the first day, it brought the mail to my door and proceeded to vacuum the floor. In the shower, it gave me a foot massage. When it came time to clean it in the washer, it did all the other laundry, folded it, and then cooked me dinner too! :) Seriously, after using this a couple times I can definitely see purchasing this product again.

2 Port USB 2.0 VGA KVM Switch
Excellent product! I was worried at first when I saw you had to shutdown both PC's to install it since I wanted it to have control of two servers but then I saw the FAQ where it says you can do it on the fly so I just did that and it worked like a charm on both servers!! I really recommend it.

Easy to install
Easy to install, no configuration necessary. Operates as advertised. So far a very good value for the cost. Testing now for durability. The units ships with two combo-cables that connect VGA, USB, Audio and Mic from the two PCs to the Switch. This is very helpful and well designed. Customer need only connect their monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and microphone directly to the switch. No power necessary as the switch receives power through the PC cable connections. Works well.

It is nice that my speakers switch also
I finally setup my system. I connected 3 machines. 2 were Win 7 and one is Win 10. The unit switches quickly and reliably. It is nice that my speakers switch also. I saved much setup time on the Win 10 machine by using a thumb drive in the hub port. Just copy needed files from one of the Win 7 machines and then switch to the Win 10 unit and copy the files to it. Thanks.
