Acurate and reliable and **SIX** probes
This 6 probes thermometer is the single best thing I had added to my grilling arsenal. It is accurate , has long battery life for an overnight cook and has SIX stainless steel probes ( no need to have two thermometers running anymore) . I have already used it last night and results were super fabulous. But before I stuck it in my smoking rig I performed stress tests to make sure its worthy of using at all.. My tests - pics attached - were very promising. I performed two rounds of tests for temperature accuracy going for an hour and a battery life test for 12 hours. And it scored Ace in both. I kept checking the temp accuracy with my trusted Thermo-Pro and it was to the Dot accurate with that. One of the most interesting feature is the graph that shows temperature history for last two hours ( pics attached); This single super help full feature helps to keep the consistent temperature under the hood for a longer time and gives you an indication that you have to re adjust the air intakes or add more fuel. Highlights are > Very Very accurate > Easy to connect with app - Using Iphone > Excellent range & pretty long battery life A Must Buy accessory for grilling enthusiasts !

The Best Bluetooth Thermometer Gets a Smart Upgrade
I first discovered Inkbird two years ago. They were then virtually unknown in the BBQ world but have since built quite a following with pros and serious backyard warriors alike. Why? Serious BBQ folks had all but given up on unreliable Bluetooth to monitor our cooking temps. Inkbird restored the faith with rock solid all night reliability, and tremendous range. No more dropouts, and no fears that hundred dollar briskets might get ruined with an unexpected grill glitch that a reliable thermometer will alert you to. When I first reviewed this modelâs predecessor, IBT-6X in 2017, I enthusiastically described it as the best Bluetooth remote thermometer on the market. Fortunately, this six-probe capable model IBT-6XS has now been upgraded with incremental and smart improvements. I continue to strongly recommend it. Letâs discuss whatâs changed, and what has not, compared with the original Inkbird IBT-6X: UPGRADES TO THIS NEW MODEL: INLCUDED RECHARGEABLE BATTERY / The original burned through mucho AAA batteries. I was OK with that because even with a 23 hour pulled pork low ân slow cook, theyâd last just long enough. The new IBT-6XS ditches the AAAs for a superb built in rechargeable 1000mAh lithium battery that lasts a stunningly long time. To bring it back to full capacity just hook its mini-USB cable to your laptop or any standard phone type wall plug. I was first very skeptical when I first tried this rechargeable technology with Inkbirdâs IBT-4XS. (That model is also wonderful and differs in that it only accepts four probes, rather than six like this IBT-6X.) I was stunned and am now a devotee. In my testing over eight hours of continuous use, the rechargeable battery still maintains 90% capacity. Even with a fully depleted rechargeable battery (very hard to do) the built in li-ion battery takes just two hours to fully charge. BUILT IN MAGNET / For the old model, I had to glue three small magnets on the back. Glad Inkbird listened to suggestions from folks like me because this upgraded model now thoughtfully has a magnetized base. It will stick to your pit, no problem. ROTATING DISPLAY / Allows more versatile placement depending on where you want to put your base unit. WHAT HASNâT CHANGED / PROS: A rock solid Bluetooth connection that is reliable and has great range. No droputs. Relatively to read in direct sunlight. BBQ GO phone app is really good and easy to customize. Well designed and fun to use. Reliable temp readings, verified with my Thermapen instant read thermometer. This is of course, most important of all. WHAT CAN IMPROVE: Probes a bit long. Only an issue for me on top rack of my Yoder. The IBT-4XSprobes are slightly shorter. No stubby oven temp probes included. However, meat probes read oven temps exactly the same, so use some of your six included probes for this. Graphing capabilities are just OK, not great, with BBQ GO. Not an issue for me because I care about the meat, not a graph of it. In the future, an exporting option for cook data, and color coded probes could be useful, too. WHAT ABOUT WIFI? Truly, I donât need wifi since the range of this latest Inkbird Bluetooth technology is so good. Also, I donât think itâs safe to be driving all over town, or adjusting pit temps from miles away, while your grill is puffing away. COMPARING WITH OTHER MODELS: I never thought I would need a six probe capability but highly recommend this. A thermometer that can monitor both meat temps, and pit temps, is essential. (You may be surprised just how much the temp inside any grill can vary from side to side, or top to bottom.) If you are going to cook low 'n slow, it's far more economical to cook two or three pork butts or briskets at once. Vac seal and freeze the leftovers and they test fresh off the pit anytime--terrific for those rushed early week meals. That leaves another three probes to monitor left and right, as well as top shelf, pit temps. Using four probes at a time is most typical for me but having the capability for six, as well as backup probes is really nice. If you are shopping for a remote thermometer, this one nails it and is my fourth Inkbird product so far. Whatever brand you settle on, I suggest not buying a remote thermometer with only two probes. You'll likely discover that having a minimum of four is truly useful. With this incremental upgrade, this terrific thermometer is better yet. I continue to recommend it as the best Bluetooth thermometer.

Awesome reliability and versatility
I love this thermometer. You may not always need 6 probes but man is it handy to have the option. The batter live is awesome, the supporting app is simple to use, that the accuracy is dead on. Definitely worth the money.

Another Great Product From Inkbird!
I received my IBT-6XS today and I was very surprised at the accuracy and response time between the unit and the app on my phone over Bluetooth. I tested all the probes in boiling water and they were spot on. I also went back and forth between boiling water and ice water and the probes reacted very quickly with minimal delay. The graphs in the app are also very responsive and can see them being very good for a long cook. If you are in the market for a bluetooth thermometer with multiple probes I would highly recommend this thermometer. This is my second thermometer from Inkbird and there customer service is top notch! If a Bluetooth thermometer isn't for you check out inkbirds other products, I have there IRF-4S and it is equally as awesome and has a very longgg range.

Finally upgraded my wireless thermometer
I was in need of a new wireless thermometer for when I do BBQ or just cooking in general. I went from a two probe unit to this amazing 6 prober! First off, it looks incredible. Inkbird did a great thing with the styling. It doesn't stop there, it's super easy to use as well. You can't beat something that looks good and performs as well as the IBT-6XS does. All the probes are calibrated from the factory and work flawlessly right out of the gate. I'm glad they added an ambient temp probe as well. The range on the Bluetooth was great, was able to be quite a distance away and not have any hiccups on the app. This is a welcome improvement from my old unit and am super satisfied with this thing. I will be an Inkbird fan for years to come!

Great Value, Excellent Interface
InkBird review Introduction- I really love this InkBird 150ft Bluetooth Grill Thermometer IBT-6XS. Iâm excited to give you some honest feedback on it, but first off, let me start out by giving you just a little bit of background on myself. Iâve been grilling and making BBQ for the past 10- 12 years, and I take it pretty seriously. I usually cook out at least 3-4 times a week. I routinely cook for my extended family and larger groups of people (20-50 people or so). Iâve been doing this for quite a while and Iâve become very picky about the products that I use. I cook almost exclusively with charcoal and live fire. If youâve been cooking for very long, you probably already know the importance of accurately monitoring the temps of both your cooking chamber and the temps of the meat youâre preparing. Virtually every stock thermometer that comes with a grill or smoker is inaccurate. Even if itâs accurate initially, they will fail over time. Itâs virtually guaranteed. Monitoring cooker temps is important, but monitoring temps of the meat youâre cooking is even more important. It really comes down to safety and making sure that the food youâre preparing has been cooked to a safe temperature. The absolute last thing you want is to get someone sick from eating food that was not cooked to a safe temperature. Maybe you already know all of that, which is why youâre shopping for a thermometer in the first place. So letâs get down to the nitty gritty of this InkBird IBT-6XS and discus what sets it apart from the competition. Overview- this InkBird IBT-6XS is a digital thermometer with 6 wire probes. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth. It operates on the InkBird app and virtually all interaction with the thermometer takes place through the app. The receiver (the red hexagon in the pic) attaches to a magnetic mounting base (the black hexagon around the red hex in the pic). All information from the receiver is sent to your phone via a Bluetooth connection. The receiver toggles through the temps of whatever probes are plugged into it, but most interaction takes place through the app on your phone. Receiver- the receiver has a single on/off button. The receiver (and really the entire unit) has a nice design. I like the aesthetics of it. Itâs sleek, and looks nice without being overly techy. There are 2 ports on 3 different sides of the receiver to plug in your temp probes. Separating the probe ports is a simple feature, but it makes it much easier to keep your wires separated when initially setting up your probes for a cook. It has a good sized display that toggles through current probe temp readings, but otherwise, all info is relayed through the app. Magnetic base- the base is sturdy and encompasses the receiver. It seems like it would offer it a bit of protection against accidental drops and bumps. The back is magnetized, which is a handy feature and aides in placing the receiver in a convenient location. The base fits very tightly around the receiver, but possibly a little too tight. Itâs pretty tough to remove the receiver from the base, which wouldnât be a big deal, except you have to remove the receiver from the base to charge it. I think this will likely loosen up over time, but itâs pretty tight right now and difficult to get a good grip on it and pull them apart. Battery- This unit runs on a rechargeable battery. They state it will run for up to 60 hours before needing recharging. When I tested it, I got over 50 hours run time before recharging, and the battery wasnât completely dead. Thatâs pretty impressive. Not having to keep spare sets of batteries on hand for an overnight cook is really handy. One possible issue that I did come across is that the unit will not operate while charging. So, if your battery dies in the middle of a cook, youâre going to need to recharge (which is done through a USB port) before you can operate the unit. With 60 hours of run time, I donât see that being a likely scenario, but it is worth noting. Bluetooth- The receiver connects to your phone via Bluetooth. Every other digital thermometer that Iâve owned (and Iâve owned quite a few over the rears) connects to a handheld display, instead of your smartphone. The reported connectivity range of the InkBird is 150 ft. My connection was probably close to that while I was outside with my smokers, but was reduced once I went inside. Reception will drop quite a bit when the Bluetooth signal has to travel through the exterior of your home. Still, I was easily able to monitor temps with a fairly strong signal throughout most of my house. There is a 4 bar signal indicator, so you can tell when youâre close to getting out of range. I lost reception in a bedroom of my basement thatâs on the far end of the house from where I had the unit set up on my back patio. Otherwise, I held signal throughout my nearly 4,000sf house. Reception was very good from my master bedroom, where Iâd be monitoring temps on an overnight cook. Probes- The probes are fairly lengthy at about 6 inches. They appear to be well built and of sturdy construction. I especially like that they are reinforced with a metal clasp where the braided cable attaches to the probe, which is traditionally a weak point on temp probes. The junction between the cable and the probe is typically where probes get damaged, either by moisture, or from the cable pulling out from the probe. The clasp should help reduce the likelihood of either of those problems. I did both an ice-bath and boiling water test and the probes were accurate. The tip is thin and sharp, which makes for easy placement in meat. The kit also included 3 clips for attaching a probe to a cooking grate to monitor cooking temps. One complaint is that the probes are large, which does take up some cooking space on the grate when monitoring cooking temps. Other manufactures make smaller probes for monitoring cooking temps that attach to the grate. This reduces the footprint of your probe on the grate and allows you to fit more food on your cooking grate. It may take a bit more creativity to place these probes. (See pic) These probes definitely do their primary job, in accurately reading temps. Theyâre also sturdy. Poor durability of probes has always been one of the biggest complaints with all digital thermometers. From all indications, these InkBird probes appear to be very well built. If I had to choose, Iâd definitely choose the larger InkBird probe that may be more bulky, but is reinforced in the area most susceptible to damage. App/User interface- I saved the best for last. This is where the InkBird IBT-6XS really shines. Most other digital thermometers (especially in this price range) use a separate wireless display to monitor temps remotely. These displays are severely limited in their capabilities and the interface is really terrible. I have a few remotes that Iâve had for years and it still takes me several tries and failed attempts any time I try to change target temps. Thereâs usually one or 2 buttons that you have to hold to activate the process, then repeatedly press the same button over and over until you get to the setting youâre trying to adjust. If you accidentally press the button 17 times instead of 16, youâve overshot and you need to go through the whole process again. Virtually all interaction with the InkBird takes through the app. To connect, simply turn on your phoneâs Bluetooth and then open the InkBird app. It automatically connects to the thermometer and displays a readout of current probe temps. The InkBird uses the capabilities of your phone instead of using its own separate handheld device. The InkBird app in conjunction with your phone creates a much more extensive, and intuitive experience, as well as allowing for a much greater range of personalization. Setting notifications for probes is very easy. There are several preset temps for various proteins (chicken, pork, etc.) There are preset high/low temp ranges for monitoring different cooking styles such as warm smoking, BBQ, etc. Itâs very easy to create your own custom settings for preferred food temps as well as high/low ranges for cooking temps. All custom settings are saved, so the next time you open the app, you are able to choose one of the preset temps or your custom temps. Just assign a setting to each probe and your phone will notify you when the food has reached your desired temp, or when your cooking temp is outside your specified temp range. There are a couple of areas in the app that could be better, if Iâm being picky. There is a function that will display your probe temps over the duration of you cook in line graph format. The preset markers for temp arenât very applicable to BBQ or grilling. The markers for temps on the X axis of the graph are 0*, 93*, 186* and 280*. I assume those numbers are the result of a conversion from Celsius, but theyâre not very standard or commonly used numbers for cooking. The app will display whatever preset target temp you entered for that probe into the graph, but it would be nice if the user had the ability to adjust the range of the temp displayed, or could zoom in on the graph for a clearer picture of how temps have changed over time. The app does not save graphs from previous cooks, which doesnât bother me. If youâre someone who logs every last detail of each cook, you could just take a screenshot of the graph before turning off the unit. Summary- The InkBird IBT-6XS is a very well designed unit. It has a great design, accurately reads temps, allows the user to monitor 6 temps at once, provides impressive flexibility and has an intuitive interface. The InkBird app, used in conjunction with the capabilities of your smartphone, puts this device lightyears ahead of any other product that Iâve used. I donât think I can overstate how much better the InkBird interface is than any other remote thermometer in this category. There are a few minor issues (such as temp probes taking up grate space, and extended range of Bluetooth) that are discussed in detail above. Overall, the InkBird IBT-6XS is an excellent product whose capabilities will likely far exceed the needs of even the pickiest of users like me.

Great way to track several proteins at once!
I received this unit today and tried it right away... to my surprise I tried it with three different proteins at one time and they were all nearly spot on! Having the ability to monitor 6 different proteins at once (so you can have them ALL at the right temp) is awesome! I Iove the device and its accuracy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. If there had to be one CON to the device, for me, it would be that I did not get one sooner!

Another Quality Thermometer!
This is my 3rd BBQ thermometer from Inkbird and it's probably the best one yet. I had the chance to use it on a low and slow pork butt cook and it performed flawlessly! Temperature readings are accurate and easy to see. The battery life is awesome too, a long overnight cook and it barely touches the rechargeable battery. The ability to have 6 probes is so cool! The app is easy to use and program. Another awesome thermometer for my collection!
