Beginners absolutely get it

yes for the money this is totally worth it. It really does sound quite nice when it's tuned up and it comes with a nice variety of accessories. If you have never played mandolin before this will do just fine until you feel prepared to jump to the next level. It was my first mandolin after playing guitar for 10 years and I think it sounds just fine. There's some minor blemishes and some things that you might consider normal for your price point like this and I am fine with it

Perfect Package For A Beginner.

I looked at a lot of Mandolins for a beginner. This was a perfect choice for me. I have a guitar, bass and banjo that I haven't played for awhile. Decided to start playing again to try and help my peripheral neuropathy. The small neck on the Mandolin helps me more easily get my fingers in playing shape which helps make it easier for me to play my other instruments. I really like this package which included a nice bag, picks, tuner, extra strings and a polishing cloth. Glad for the extra strings as I broke one while tuning the Mandolin. I'm a beginner, but I like the way this Mandolin plays and sounds. Seems to be built well. Nice looking. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to learn to play the Mandolin. It's a small investment to find out if you will like playing the Mandolin. The playability and sound won't discourage a beginner. I am thoroughly enjoying this instrument. Playing music again is so much fun and I believe playing is helping my peripheral neuropathy.

First Mandolin!! Perfect!!

I've been a guitarist since I was 12 and my family got me this mandolin for my 53rd birthday. Loving the journey.

Realy good price for student to learn to play the mandolin and include the case, extra strings and tuner.

I play the violin and I wanted to learn to play the mandolin without spending a lot of money. This combo was just the thing I needed. It does the job just fine. The tuning keys are a bit sloppy but manageable. The electronic tuner works great. The strings are almost broken in and holding pitch already with very little adjustment needed.

We have a few Donner instruments, and they all are amazing quality for their price range. Nice sound (no, not the same as a $1000 instrument, but definitely not bad). Nice fit and finish.
