Does what it says, does it well. I use this to get the bulky stuff off, then use a scotch-bright pad to get things shiny. This takes far less elbow grease than the pads alone and they last much longer before getting gummed up. This is the best method I've found to keep things clean. (And I've tried near about everything.) I grill on the classic Weber grill with basic chrome grates. It takes me less than a minute to get the grates silver, shiny and ready for cooking.

Useful for hard to clean gunk

This scraper works well though I wouldn't recommend it as the only grill cleaning tool. It does a good job getting the crusty, baked on food particles off the metal grates and with the variety of indents, I can easily scrape under and between the grate, which is handy. I used it on a cold grill fine. I followed up with general cleaning using a Grill Grubber BBQ Cleaning Brush and I am ready for my next meal. I think for a hot grill, I'd suggest wearing gloves since it's easy to touch the grate with your fingers and hand. It's a little piece of metal after all. It's cleans up with some soap and water, as you'd expect.

Wonderful product!

This is the 2nd BBQ scraper I have ordered from this company--I gave the 1st to my daughter. Both times the item arrived when promised. The Sage Owl sent a follow-up email with tips on how to use and clean it and inviting me to email them if I had any questions and another email suggesting 10 places to store it other than at the BBQ. I would not hesitate to order from them again. The grill scraper cleaned my SS grill grates with ease, far superior to a pumice brick and/or balled-up piece of aluminum foil. With the grill scraper, I would scrape, wipe, scrape, wipe, repeat--it was pretty greasy and grimy after I had cleaned it with the pumice brick. I cleaned the bottom of the grates as well, far easier and more effective with this tool than with the pumice brick or foil ball. Then I fired up the grill and grilled chicken legs and thighs--no hint of what I grilled before it. I am glad I added this grill scraper to my grilling accessories, as starting with a clean grill means better-tasting food.

Great grill cleaner!

I bought this to clean the grate on my grill. Works great! Came packaged well and undamaged. Material is high quality and very durable. It has many different grate size options so you just have to turn it until you find the one that fits. It scraps burnt remnants right off and even gets underneath. Just don't turn your grill on till after you clean or wait till it cools. With it being small and no handle, your hand may get burnt. It is very easy to clean off and I even use grease cleaner to fully clean it and it holds up great. Wonderful option compared to bristles that can get in your food and cause harm. Would highly recommend!

Works well and very easy to clean.

Very well crafted product and so easy to clean! I use it on both my Weber grills. It cleans the grates very well and it's so nice to be able to dismantle the scraper for transport and cleaning. More importantly, I don't have to worry about any dangerous wires such as the wire brush grill cleaners have. A veterinarian told me the wire brushes are particularly dangerous to dogs because they smell the cooking residue and want to lick/eat the wire brush - not good. This item is perfect. On a side note, my order happened to be missing a part and so I contacted the seller. The response was courteous and immediate and the part arrived in record time with a nice note and gift for my troubles. Excellent product and superb customer service!

Much Safer Than Wire Brushes

This is a neat gadget that can be attached to the grill so it is always handy. My husband considers himself to be a grill master in all aspects except in keeping the grill clean. Hopefully this will help! It will be so much better than the old wire brushes that are really dangerous due to bristles coming loose and getting into food. I purchased 2 items, the smaller stainless steel scraper to take with us for our travel Coleman grill, and the larger grill scraper to have at home for use on his grill and smoker. I highly recommend this device.

Safe and simple

Very basic and simple product. Easy to use and works well. Fas better than the wire brush units and it is safe. No more worry and recleaning due to wire off the brush. It is kinda neat to hang in my grill area. I am ready for the snow to melt and get grilling season rolling so I can use this little tool. Every grill should have one of these. A clean grill makes better and safer food. I thought this might be silly but I really like it now.

a must if you have a cast iron grill

i was gonna give this away as a stocking stuffer but ended up keeping it myself. So glad I did. grilled some carne asada on my cast iron grill and the marinade made a huge mess on the grill. I used my chain mail but it was hard to get in between the small spaces and I remembered this little gadget. It made cleaning up SO. MUCH. EASIER. I highly recommend this if you have a cast iron grill

A "great-grate" grill cleaning tool

This little tool is fantastic. It works like a champ in removing the big gunk from the grill, after which you can use a stainless steel grill brush for a finishing cleaning. In this way you don't foul your grill brush with the gunk. thus increasing immeasurably the life of your grill brush. The grill scraper is easy to clean (just wipe if off with a paper towel), easy to hold, and is well made.
