Perfect, it works fine with Mac

Anybody worried about this product working on Mac need not fear, it works absolutely fine (I'm currently using it on an iMac with El Capitan OS). No need to install drivers, simple plug and play stuff. You will however need to install software in order to play Bluray's such as Macgo - there isn't a huge amount of choice on Mac and there aren't any freebie apps. Fast, stylish, thin and discreet looking (I believe it's made by Pioneer). Very happy with the purchase so far.

Works great for a really low price

Works great on DVD, a tad faster than my Apple SuperDrive. Also works great on reading bluray, which the Apple drive cannot do. It's a more flimsy build than the rock solid Apple drive, but it does the job well at an amazingly low price for a bluray burner.I also have tried a 3D Blu-ray disk and it worked! Well pleased with product.Great well worth the money i paid for it very happy with it

Good

I need a DVD player for the job, but the new laptops do not have any anymore. This DVD player is very thin and light. It is portable, so you can easily carry it to the office or home. The quality is good, the reading is fast, no noise. It comes with two cables, one is a USB cable and the other is a charging cable. To use the device, simply connect the USB cable to the laptop. No idea of using the charging cable, maybe qn will give me a hint.

Works as Advertised.

This slimline BluRay recorder did a great job of recording my 1080 resolution HD Video footage onto BluRay discs from my PC via a Video Editing program called Movavi The first on I attempted was a 23-GB and it came out perfect. I could not use it from my iMac only because I have been unable to find a program that Apple supports to burn from their operating systems so still searching for that.

small and light. did play (bluray) mkv files with VLC on laptop, on bot DL-DVD and BR-DVD. did not have to use the 2nd USB cable for power. was hoping that attaching to USB port on TV would make it work like a USB thumb drive but it did not (did not work attaching it as USB drive to a BR-DVD player either). as an external DVD/BR player (did not test it writing at all), a wonderful addition to an ultrabook. comments based on windows OS (win7 and win8). do not have a mac Ican't give any comment about it

Perfect blu ray drive for me

Really nice product. I was a bit hesitant at first to try this out but now that I have, I can honestly say it works perfectly. The drive itself is sleek and stylish and smaller than what I had expected. I have included some pictures of the drive showing the packaging it comes in. It's not a branded item which doesn't bother me. The box contains the drive, a USB cable and a manual and its pretty straightforward to use. You just connect the USB to the drive and your computer, and it starts to work. The write speeds are pretty decent as is the read speed. I really like the sleek design and the size of this and it doesn't look bulky and is not an eyesore on my desk. I would recommend it to anyone.

Diminutive form factor

An excellent and capable blu-ray disc burner. Purchased as an addition to my iMac. You will need additional software (I use Blu-ray player from MacGo). Note that no software that I've come across can successfully access the additional material that is often found on blu-ray/dvd discs. This unit has a quiet play feature which, say if listening to an audio track, will rapidly buffer the data before reducing to a quiet mode so as to not drown out the track you are listening to. The main reason for my purchase is because it is a top loader therefore avoiding any potential for scratching a disc which can happen with slot loading players. All in all a great little machine that can be fully recommended.

Quality drive

My wife wanted this and no other burner for Christmas. She writes the following: The BluRay burner is exactly what I wanted. Above all, he was supposed to be able to burn M-discs so that I could preserve our pictures for posterity for more than 10 years. My expectations were more than fulfilled. The burner has reliably burned all M-discs. Other discs he burns easily. Because it is so reliable and easy to use, I now also archive my audio CDs with it. I have connected the burner to the USB 3.1 port. As a burning program I used CDBurnerXP. I can recommend the burner with a clear conscience, especially since the service for questions very nice and fast. So full star rating!

Do what it should.

Play the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs properly. System Asus Strix Z370I, 32GB DDR4-3600 memory, I7-8700K with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630, 4K monitor, PowerDVD 17 Ultra. Overall, a great, compact drive with a sturdy aluminum housing. Is detected immediately and integrated in the system. Although not quite quiet, but that will hardly be possible in a miniature housing otherwise, for the sake of missing insulation and damping options. For me, "silent" was not a purchase criterion, but the flexible compact all-rounder! The piaek drive, I can recommend without reservation and would buy it again at any time. update: In order to be able to watch 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, I have saved a separate boot entry in the BIOS so that I can boot as required with deactivated Asus GTX 1080TI and activated integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. The monitor cable (DP) must then be reconnected from the GraKa to the mainboard (DP). The Intel Graphics 630 drivers must be installed and the "HEVC Video Extension" can be found in the Microsoft App Store under Apps. If necessary, deactivate the GraKa in the device manager.
