Sole saver podiatrist recommended
I am a "seasoned" nurse. I am approaching 30 years of working 12 hour(and longer) shifts on concrete. I am here to tell you, protect yourself, if you work on concrete. The human body isn't made to do it hour after hour. I have chronic plantar fasciitis. I've had the prescription orthotics, approaching $500, I've had the drug store cushions and I have had those ridiculous ones where you stand on the machine at the store and it chooses a style for you. These are easily as good as my $500 pair. I put these in all my shoes(they have some for heels too!). I did upsize my shoes by a half size rather than trim these. My husband and a son are now getting PF so I bought them each a pair as well. You can take out the original insoles and put these in your shoes. They make even cheap unsupportive shoes better. Yes, you need rigid support not more cushion if you have PF. I didn't have to break mine in and neither did my husband, but podiatrists usually suggest you wear the expensive pairs for ~4 hours the first day and work up from there.

Best Insoles Anywhere!
If you wear shoes, you'll love these! They feel fantastic, I haven't been without 'em this millennium. They give GREAT arch support, unlike any shoes or boots for the past 50 years. And forget about those "name-brand" insoles, they may be cushy but no arch support. These are actually better than custom-made orthotics, made for "Plantar Fascia" condition (fallen arches, flat feet). Sure they cost money, but these will put pep in your step, improve your posture and stance, increase your confidence and energy, better your mood and improve the quality of your whole life! Even if your shoes or boots are VERY comfortable, pull those original insoles out and put a pair of these in, you'll be even better off and flying. One minor caveat, they may take some getting used to. It may feel like all your weight is balanced on a half-of-a-hardball under the arch of your foot. This is normal, and therapeutic, consider it anatomic correction... it's not the insole, it's your feet! You will get used to them, and grow to love them. Especially if you've developed pain in your lower peds in recent years, you owe it to yourself to get a pair of these. How much money have you spent on healthcare? Well, these orthotic insoles are without doubt the greatest boon to MY health I've experienced in my whole life, bar none! One last point, are you athletic? Then you really, really ought to use these. Sure they'll wear out faster with your high-activity lifestyle but they'll help maintain it. (They'll also lengthen the life of your shoes and your feet. What's more important than your feet?) Signed, - A HUGE Fan of Power-Step, not paid nor associated nor affiliated nor a seller in any way. (Get 'em from Amazon - be sure to get the right size!)

If you have foot pain/Plantar faciitis - you're doing yourself a disservice by not buying these...
I'll start this off by saying - I have literally never written a review (and I likely won't again). If this review results in one person that was on the fence purchasing this item, then it will have been worth it. I'm a big guy - 6'7 and 295 lbs. I've dealt with foot pain (Plantar fasciitis) for most of my adult life. Every day that I woke up - the second my feet hit the floor, it felt like I had broken bones. As a big guy, you typically don't have many shoe options either. To work, I wear Sperry boat shoes (awful for your feet) and for casual wear - I typically wear Vans (probably even worse). After ONE DAY of wearing these insoles, I'm ready to write a 5 star review. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I woke up free from foot pain (after wearing my Sperrys for the entire previous day). Do yourself a favor and test these out. Don't be like me and fret over the fact that they are $30 - because they're worth double that.

Stop thinking about it and just try them out!
This is not a DOD or military endorsed review. This is strictly my personal opinion! I am in the navy and we just switched up to a new type 3 uniform which has new coyote brown boots. I have long known that I had a collapsed arch, it finally caught up to me to the point I avoided walking as much as possible and standing watch in one place for hours was killing me. I finally went with these insoles after looking around and reviews etc. I got them today, immediately put them in my boots, size 11. One side of each insole required slight trimming, then BAM! ready to go. After 3 hours of wearing these my flat foot no longer hurts at all! I love these and wish I had bought them sooner! And my "good" foot doesnt feel fatigued or strained anymore! On a scaleof 1 to 5 for arch support I would say these are a solid 3.5 or 4 and are very supportive but not excessively supportive. I will be buying more for my other shoes! Highly reccomend if you are starting to have foot pain! That said I know these are not perfect for everyone but they are certainly worth their weight in gold to me! Update: ive have these for some time now, my opinion hasn't changed at all! Still no pain in my feet even after standing for long durations!

Game changer for my aching undercarriage.
Game changer for me. Age 55 and on my feet most of the day on concrete (teacher). Lately my feet, legs, knees, and hips have been aching. I decided to try these based on the great rating. I was concerned at first as they are not spongy like the regular gel insoles and the arch support seemed a little much. However, following the advice of another reviewer, I gave them a chance and after a few days I really noticed a difference; rather, I stopped noticing all the discomfort I had been going through beforehand. I am sooo thrilled I found these and will be ordering more for my other shoes as I have been switching out these insoles to whatever I'm wearing on a given day. You need to try these if your condition is similar to what I was going through.

NO MORE PAIN, YEAH BABY!!!!!
Anytime I buy something, I always read the reviews before purchasing the item and this was no exception. Everything I read about these insoles were 100% correct. I read that you have to break them in and it is going to hurt for a little while until you do and they were so right. I already had pain in my feet from Plantar Fasciitis, so it was difficult to not want to throw them back in the box and send back. If it wasn't for the reviews and giving them a chance because of them, I would have sent them back immediately. Instead I chose to listen and gave them time, even with the pain they caused until my feet got used to them. It took about or less then a week and I was pain free. I cannot stress how difficult it was for me to walk and now I have no pain. I can now stand all day at work and not have to cringe every time I walk. Another commenter also said that these would be a sure fit or you might have to cut just a tad bit, but not much to fit in the shoe. They were right about this also, I did not have to cut the insole at all. I ordered the 7.5-8 and it fit perfectly in 3 of my jogging shoes. No cutting and no fuss, just insert into the shoe and go (aside from getting used to them). So, if you have pain on the bottom of you feet and/or your ankle, I highly recommend getting these because they are worth it. I could not be happier with these because they took my pain away. I am so grateful to those who commented on these and got me to buy them. Thank you and Powerstep for saving my feet and taking my pain away. Update: Bought a pair for my husband and he loves them. Stopped his knee pain :)

Try them and give them a couple of weeks to work them in
This is my second pair. The first pair was prescribed to me by my podiatrist before my bunion surgery. I have continued to use them in post surgery phase. For all new users you need to allow your feet to get used to being reshaped on how you walk and run. Ever notice when you buy a pair of running shoes or any shoes you are paying $80-150/pair or more, the insole in the shoes are worth about $0.50 ? Well the mfg wont give you quality insoles in cheaper or more expensive shoes because they know that quality insoles will increase the life to the shoe since you will likely wear them properly and not buy more pairs of shoes. Try these out. Don't stack the insoles as many tend to do, if the old ones are glued in , work them out ot replace them with these. Give them a little time to get your arches get use to them and you will probably never look back. Your calves and heels may cry a little in the beginning since you are shifting the "footprint" of your step which will transfer the changes in your joints and muscle up your ankles and calves and maybe even knees. It is ok, as you have even using those muscles and joints to compensate for poor walking habits anyways and they are just thanking you.

Perfect fit for relief of my Plantar Fasciitis
I have a problem with plantar fasciitis. It has been killing me for a while. I am also retired, so I don't have to wear dress shoes. I pretty much live in tennis shoes, wear a pedometer, and average 14,000 steps per day as an active senior. So, this plantar fasciitis thing is cramping my lifestyle. My feet also have high arches and none of my tennis shoes have high enough support to help me out with this malady when I am walking. I looked around for inserts that were more solid than just a piece of foam. I wanted something that was solid to support my arches. So, after looking through all the different versions and brands out there, I picked this one to try. I wear a size 11.5 D (US) shoe. So, here are my observations: - This product fits my size 11-1/2 Nike Dual Fusion Lite tennis shoes perfectly. The fit is tight and no trimming was required. - This insert is flexible up by the toes so when you are walking, it bends with your toes and the shoe and you don't know it is there. - The heel and arch part of this insert is rigid and does not bend. It provides perfect support for my heel and arches. - This insert is very comfortable for my size foot. I am able to walk without hobbling as long as the insert is in my shoe. - I bowl a couple nights a week. When I get to the bowling alley, I remove the inserts from my tennis shoes and slip them into my bowling shoes. They also fit my size 11-1/2 bowling shoes perfectly - nice and tight so they don't slip around. Cons: I don't have any cons. I can't say how comfortable they would be if you had flat feet, but for someone like me with high arches, they are a perfect marriage between my feet and my shoes.

Need them in all my shoes now.
I got lucky ordering these online & I haven't bought a pair of shoes without removable insoles since. I've bought 3 pairs of powerteps now and keep one in my yardwork shoes & one in my work shoes, I'm waiting for my winter boots from Amazon & my new 3rd pair is for those. Since I used to move the first pair from shoe to shoe I'm trying to get a better idea on how long they last, so I can't comment on that. I have plantars & I bartend along with other jobs where I'm on my feet all day and needed help. I try to find a decent shoe with cushion & add this insole & really haven't had the severe pain I was having in about a year. On a side note - I got on the Dr. Scholls foot machine to see what kind of orthotic I would need - it was wrong - twice!! Great price on these for keeping me away from the foot doctor.

US Army soldier approved
When I first tried these out in my Nike SFB coyote boots that come with Zero Arch support I thought they had too much support but after walking in them for a few days and then going on a 5 mile ruck march (hike with a 80lb bag) I found that these were absolutely wonderful and apparently exactly the right amount of Arch support for me. I have a medium Arch that was on the verge of collapsing do to my job (active duty 11b infantry US Army) which requires me to be on my feet the better part of 12 hours a day. In addition shipping was fairly quick given I bought these while deployed to Afghanistan and they got here in 6 days through APO address. They also dry out fairly quick if your feet sweat a lot (average temp here 107). In closing definitely worth buying soldier approved.
