Improves the original design,

So far, I’m really enjoying this case... it has taken the standard gopro mount and improved it in several ways. 1st u are able to access the side port door while it’s still on... no need to take it out of the case to charge or transfer files 2nd it adds a foam gasket around the door.. the original does not have this and thought it was a great touch 3rd all the cut outs around the Mic are larger then the standard mount... which helps prevent muffled audio if recording without an external mic Quality of the material used... feels identical to the standard GP mount.. so far happy with this upgrade.. Nothing negative to say,

Better than GoPro’s The Frame

I have a GoPro hero 7 and I use it almost everyday. I use The Frame by GoPro which comes with the camera. It’s a low profile case which helps you mount the camera on various accessories for various activities. The biggest issue with that case is that don’t have access to the usb C port. This port is used for charging or using the audio input accessory. So I ended up buying a metal case with a large opening that gives access to the side door. Now it became very bulky. So I’ve been searching for a low profile case with camera door access and here it is! Best thing about this Sametop frame is the camera side door access. Surprisingly it’s also good quality plastic and doesn’t feel cheap. Currently it’s priced at a fraction of the GoPro case( at least when I bought) and is a very good purchase if you’re looking for a replacement or a low profile vlog setup.

Accessory worth for go pro!

Most of the times I run out of battery on gopro and replacing battery is real pain, dealing first with case. I was looking for case which allows charging via usb c where this case came in handy. Now I can easily charge my gopro when am in car or using power bank and can avoid situation of changing batteries. Like the idea behind this. Caution point if you are in heavy adventure than safety using this case is slightly compromised with this feature. So check that before you opt for this. In pictures left side is this case and right side is official gopro case.

This is the best mount housing you can get.

This mount housing for the Hero 7 Black as well as the 7 Silver, 7 White and the Hero 6 & 5, Is the best mount I have found. Being able to open the charging door, all the way, when the mount is installed is a big deal. It uses the typical type GoPro mount and included for you is a soft rubber camera lens cover that I like a lot. The backloading latch securely holds the camera in place. This is the camera mount that should have been made a long time ago but it is here now and with the great price you won't be sorry. Order one today.

Impressed

I didn’t think I’d need another frame housing other than the one that came with my Go Pro Hero 6, but just after unboxing I can tell this is a step up for sure. It definitely feels more sturdy and durable compared to the original. Then there is the bonus of having the large openings for better sound quality as well as being able to access the door for battery charging and usb plug in without having to take the entire housing off every time. You also get a lens cover that is thick plastic rather than flimsy rubber. Definitely impressed with this purchase and will be my go to housing from now on.

gopro

This is my review for the Sametop Frame Mount Housing. I picked up this housing because I needed one that had a cutout where the door is to charge and have a little more opening for the microphone area in hopes of better sound recording. This is perfect for those things! It looks like the original one that the gopro comes with and it fits my hero 5 black perfect. There is a nice sponge/cushion thing on the door that closes against the back of the gopro for added security and protection. Sound quality has been better while recording in windy environments. This is way better than the one you get with the gopro and it even comes with the clip attachment and a nice patterned cap for your lens. I would recommend this housing for sure!

Big improvements over OEM case

I've been testing this product in the field now regularly for about a month and am very impressed! It's sturdy and seems as well made as the original equipment from GoPro, so I have no concerns about its longevity. It fits my Hero 7 Black perfectly and most people probably wouldn't recognize it as anything but an original case. But those who use the 7 Black with the original case will immediately notice the improvements! Two big things stand out for me: the cut out for the door and the lens cover. First, having a full-sized cutout for the access door is amazing and I don't know why GoPro didn't think of this. Being able to connect the power cord and charge the camera's battery while it's still in the housing is fantastic. And while it's technically part of the case itself, the added bonus of a lens cover is an outstanding addition. There have been so many times when I've wondered why GoPros don't have lens covers. The only problem I have ever had with this thing is A) remembering to take the lens cover off and B) remembering which pocket I put it in! One of the best products I've seen as an after-market replacement in a long time.
