Finally, gloves that fit!
I haven't actually worn these to prune the roses yet, but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work great for me. They are tougher-looking and -feeling than the gloves I've been using, which are just the standard cloth with latex palms and fingertips gardening gloves. Those have generally been fine for me, but I think these will be even better, because of the length if nothing else. The reason I wanted to make sure to write a review is because of the fit. I saw lots of reviews from people saying they "ran small" without saying if they had actually measured their hands and used the size chart, or if they'd just guessed their size and then said it "ran small" based on what they thought the sizes should be. My hands measure 7.25" around, and 6.25" from middle fingertip to the base of my palm (defining "base of my palm" as the lowest part of my hand that touches the table when I put my hand down flat). The Women's Small fits me perfectly. This may be the very first pair of non-stretchy gloves I've had in my life where I don't have a big dexterity-impeding gap at the end of each fingertip.

Nice vegan cruelty free gloves
Haven’t used them yet but they look nice . I was looking for heavy duty vegan gardening long gloves without dead animals products which seem to be hard to find . I have a lot of cow and pig friends so I’d rather not wear parts of them on my body .

Very hardy but easy to manipulate and use
My wife has a half dozen rose bushes that she loves but they destroy her hands while trying to prune or defoliate them. She said even her thorniest rose bush is easy to work with when she wears these gloves. After a couple of hours in the garden, she is only poked 2-3 times (mostly by forcefully grabbing a rose branch) as opposed to 100s of times with her other gloves. My wife typically wears women’s medium to large gloves depending on the brand. She said the mediums for these gloves were snug but perfectly snug and she is happy with the fit for her gardening needs.

Pretty.. Pretty.. Pretty.. Pretty.. Pretty.. Good
If you have at least a 1/4 cup of klutz inside you, as I do, especially during such a thorny pursuit as pruning roses, these are the gloves to wear. I just finished pruning 20 of my numerous roses, some with thorns like shark teeth and not a single poke or scratch. Even more of a danger is trimming the dreaded Holly bush. So far, so good. Just bought a second pair in the off-chance I can talk another family member into helping...

Well Constructed, terrific protection, excellent price
These gloves are awesome! I’ve read other reviews that complained about thorns getting thru and almost believed them. Look - nothing is going to be 100% thorn proof unless you find something made out of metal or iron (but then there’s that whole rusting issue, etc). These gloves are extremely well constructed with extra padding from the palms to your finger tips. The part that covers you from the hand to the elbow is leather that totally protects your arms. I work with cactus, sago palms, and some pretty sturdy succulents, and have had no issues whatsoever. The pair that I bought from a local nursery at a much higher price weren’t nearly as effective and I will never buy them there again. I can’t imagine anything better unless you want to run out and get a pair of welder’s gloves - which are not cheap and probably not perfect either.

My first garden gloves!
I had bought these when weeds had over grown at my house and these were great. Comfy. Of course I chose to pick weeds on the hottest summer day so the gloves made my hands sweat and prickly bushes still hurt even with the gloves on too. Other than that, great gloves!

I love these gloves!!! 10 star so far
Favorite gloves ever! I wear gloves every day on the farm or landscaping on the job and I love these gloves! And I have worn out hundreds of pairs of gloves in my lifetime. Not only will I be purchasing again for myself, these are nice enough for a lovely gift for the garden girls in my life. They actually work for pulling star thistle, and roses. My favorite part is the gauntlet arm protector. No more hay and bark and thorns and all the rest in my gloves or sleeves. They are soft and super strong while being very flexible. An amazing combination of all of the best qualitys in a pair of gloves!!! Purchase with confidence, you’ll be happy you did.

Very durable and comfortable
Totally like the fact that they fit snugly and I can move my fingers and hands without restrictions. The long forearm coverage works well for regular prickles from bushes and shrubery but alas still did not protect me from the dreaded 2" spikes on the bougainvillea from puncturing my hand, however I definitely had way less scratches.

Durable and comfortable
These gloves are durable and comfortable to wear. They are protective but still have good dexterity. I have used other gloves that I have ruined in a week or with the fingertips getting holes making them useless.

Nice for any type of gardening
I use these for every day gardening. It's nice to have long gloves because my wrist and lower arms get itchy and full of dirt. Haven't used them to trim thorny plants but I'm sure they would protect from getting scratched and having thorns stuck in the skin. Thick material and well made. Very happy with these gloves. Glad I bought them.
