Overall, I say this is a good value for the cost. You will be disappointed if you're expecting the super thick quality that you may see in expensive tents that professional party rental places have. But with very little modification, it is a very good tent. In one use, it's already paid for itself versus renting a tent. Considering this and the compliments that we received on how nice it looks, is why I gave 5 stars. If I were to rate the overall quality, not considering the cost, I'd given it 3.5 since I did purchase extras to make sure it stayed in place and I'm sure you there are tents out there with thicker material (at a higher price). But, for the cost and the fact that it got the job done, it gets 5 stars. I purchased this tent (10'x30') for a summer cookout. I did a test run of putting it together before my event to see if this would do the job and it seemed rather nice. I put it together by myself (well I had my 3 year old hold a pole for me at one point) and it took about 45 minutes. I wouldn't recommend putting together by yourself because as you are raising it the poles will bend and possibly come disconnected if only one side is raised at a time. The tent was so nice that as my RSVP list grew, I decided to purchase another one. As other reviews note, the anchors and rope that it comes with are useless. I purchased thicker rope and anchors from homedepot. Also purchased sandbags to weigh it down. Another review I read said they'd purchased white tape to tape the joints. I think that the company must have listened to the reviews because now it comes with white duck tape. I used it to tape where the poles are connected. It was good having this peace of mind that the pole wouldn't come disconnected although I think they probably would have stayed together even without the tape. It also came in handy when disassembling because it enabled me to leave the poles connected so it will not be as much work to put together the next time. After the cookout, I left them up for over a week (no rain and only moderate wind) and it stayed up really well.

These tents are awesome. I purchased 2-10x20 & put them side by side to make a 20X20 party room! I had a Wedding shower for 50 people. I had them up for 8 days! no tears no bent poles! I did follow advise from some of the comments I used white duct tape & secured the seams were the poles come together. Also I zip tied the 3 poles in the center together from the both tents- I used sand bags to hold it in place and Swing set Anchors the spiral ones on the outer 4 corners. The tie down string & steaks that come with the tents-we didn't use-Useless. The duct tape pealed off easily. We even taped the seam in the roof between the two tents for a water barrier- It did rain 2 of the 8 days it was up and no leaking. Shipped fast, packaged well! I was carefull to open the cartons as to not cut the tent material as one person said they did. The nice loops that hold the walls up also held the light strings. I chose not to use the doors, but put 5 of the 8 window walls around the sides & back, even one I duct taped to the back of my covered deck for privacy- It was also a nice backdrop for Photos!

What do you do when your husband has projects outside and you have no garage or carport........you buy one of these. This thing is well made and has stood up to several storms. It has been in our yard since for over 8 months. A BIG wind gust bent some of the poles, poles are medium weight, we just straightened them out and all is well. So far no rips or tears and NO LEAKS. Perfect for shade, working in the rain and wind. Protects projects. This has two large compartments (car size). We have two motorcycles, with bike covers, stored on one end with room for a few projects. The windows allow light to come in. We put some white Christmas lights along the ceiling for lighting at night. It is set up right outside of his tool shed and he can open the double doors and have a covered entry way. Considering this is suppose to be used for and event and taken down it has held up incredibly well against the Texas floods and winds and the heat. We are getting an ENTEX portable spa (yes order on Amazon) and will put on one end of this canopy. It will provide privacy and protection from the elements or we can open it up and splash around.

Arrived in a timely manner, upon opening was very pleased with the Quality of the tent. Assembly rime using 4 guys median age of 71 was about an hour instructions to the point and simple. Being overly cautions I substituted the metal included pegs with one and a quarter X14 " oak pegs and heavier tie down cords Assembled the tent looked beautiful. the following evening an unexpected storm came through the area. With out side curtains despite 35 mph winds the tent swayed but stayed, after a reported gust of 60 mph, tearing limbs and uprooting trees, the tent lifted and tumbled across the yard winding up against the clothesline. Was amazed it held up for so long despite the very high winds. Next morning same 4 old guys splinted and duct taped a few damaged frame pieces and had the tent usable again in under an hour.. Contacted Maxlead to purchase replacement parts and was told they would send needed parts no charge. Customer service unheard of today. Had the tent have been torn to shreds I would not have hesitated purchasing another from this company. Excellent Quality, value and customer servicd

We purchased this for our son's graduation party and it was well worth the money to have much needed shade for our guests. We were able to assemble it and put it up in about 45 minutes, but I will say it did help to have several extra sets of hands when it was time to put the legs on. We did not use the sides because it was too hot. We did end up taking the tent down about 15 minutes before the party ended because the wind was gusting and we were afraid the tent and/or poles would break, blow away or crash into the house. A friend borrowed the tent for her daughter's graduation party a couple of weeks later, and there was a light rain that day so she appreciated being able to to keep their guests dry. I do think the tent and the poles could be made of higher quality materials, but for the price, I think this tent served the intended purpose and we plan to use it again in a few years when our next child graduates. The white duct tape was a necessity!

I'm writing this review based on the price as it relates to the product ... I'm a 5-foot female and I was able to put this together myself with patience, a ladder, and a little more than common sense. Do I recommend you assembling this alone? NO. I actually got this gently used and it had all the parts and came with an illustration of what parts you should have and all the parts are numbered. The assembly illustration tells you which parts go together and you have to use common sense on which joint to use and where. The cover and panels are like a thin tarp material but it does the keep the rain and sun at bay. Keep in mind professional tents of this size are upwards of $500 and the better quality ones are around $350... The structure itself is on the seemingly flimsy side but it held up to a windy Florida day without being properly secured yet (but the side and back panels were not up). If it's very windy you might reconsider not putting up the panels where it will be in the direction of the wind as to not add to the wind shear affect, but we secured this along a fence and it worked perfectly for us. If you are on a budget and can't afford the more expensive tent then this is a great alternative. I'm very happy with the purchase especially since I got this for $60 because it was gently used.

I admit that when I received it the box was a mess. I was prepared for missing parts and began to photograph everything carefully. However within an hour and a half my daughter had the tent up. We understood the directions well. We used it for a garage sale and slept outside with our stuff. It was windy the first night and the material was loud in the wind. The next night I hung some light cloth from the poles and the sound was much quieter. My son borrowed it for his son's birthday party this weekend. I don't think I can leave it up permanently in the backyard, but I wish I could. I love the space it creates.

Ok so I'm finally getting to this review. The set up is a little tricky, might require two people but it's perfect for what we used it for. Now I will say it is a solid design and perfect compared to the eBay one. I had it side by side with the eBay one and light wind knocked down the eBay one. Luckily it was the next day after the party was over. I didn't get a chance to use the walls but I'm sure they would work fine. This tent it all about taking your time and doing it right. Make sure all bars are locked in. They tend to pop out sometimes during set up which is why I say it might require two people. We are very satisfied with the tent. I am very particular on a lot of things and items I purchase and was hesitant on this tent but having the chance to use it against and eBay tent you can easily see the better design. This grant also has the bigger diameter poles then the eBay tent. Once I opened the eBay tent I immediately said "oh man" because the poles where half the diameter. The actual canopy is a little thin but still thick enough to be sturdy if that makes sense. All joints are a thick durable plastic. Wish I had more pics. Again it's all about set up. U do it right and it will work and last.

Excellent value for the money. They look fantastic! Bought 2 for a back yard birthday party and they were easy to set up and looked great. Took me about an hour to set up each tent by myself. I worked slowly and followed all the tips in the reviews. Used zip ties to prevent the little metal clips from slipping out and that enabled me to raise the tents up without help. They held up well in rain and a little wind. The day after we had lot's of wind and they ended up leaning over and this caused a few plastic pieces to become deformed and a couple of metal pieces to crack at the ends. Hopefully once I replace these I 'll be able to get more use out of them. All considered, I'm giving them an excellent rating because they are excellent value for the money. The'ye already paid for themselves twice over when compared to the cost of renting commercial tents locally. I used the included rope/string and anchors but next time will likely use sandbags or heavier duty stakes. In summary they are easy to set up and look great! They are not heavy duty commercial tents but for the price, you get a lot more value than you'd expect. Excellent deal and well put together product.

We purchased this tent along with two other 10 x 30 tents (from a different company) for our daughter's graduation party. We have two more graduations so our intent was to reuse these for each party. Unfortunately this tent is the only one out of 4 tents that we will be able to reuse. When compared to the others we purchased, this one was awesome! The metal clips connecting the poles together were larger and I think that helped them stay together better. We used this on top of our deck so it was a bit more secure since it was zip tied to our railing than staked into the ground. Over all, I would recommend this tent. We even had a light rain for the first hour of the party and many people huddled under this tent to stay dry.
