I am an IT professional and need a portable pc to work. It doesn't need to be super fast as long as I can do basic web browsing and document editing, since I have much more powerful desktops for heavy duty jobs. But the apprearanc must be good and its size and weight cann't be bulk since my desktop is already occupied enough. This is the one perfectly satisfying all my needs. The pros and cons are highlighted as follows: Pros: 0, It looks good, thin and lightwieght. The Blue/Red LED light around the venting outlet looks cool 1, Intel Celeron J3455 CPU, which belongs to its low power and economic product line. This CPU is not the latest model as of my order, but one generation older. But it is still good because it is Intel's Apollo Lake microarchitecture using 14nm manufaturing process. 2, Additional SSD slot so that I can expand if I need more space. The mini pc comes with 32GB storage, which is sufficient for me for now, but having an option to upgrade and expand makes me feels good. 3, The OS comes with the laptop is Windows 10 Home Edition version 1803, which is latest version as of my buy. 4, Sufficient versatile interfaces. It has 2 USB 3.0 female A, 2 regurlar USB, one HDMI, one USB typeC, one RJ45 ethernet and one micro SD card slot. Well aligned for a pc. 5, Removable SSD holder. The additional dock for holding my own SSD is actually can be removed. Once removed, the whole mini pc become thinner, and there are screw mouting hole at the inner back, which mean it can be mounted on the wall but not just standing on the desktop. 6, 4 way venting along the four edges on the top surface, which should be enough cool down the CPU Cons: 1, The memory speed is clocked at 1600Mhz only, which is not the highest speed the J3455 CPU can support. 2, The memory seems to be soldered and there is no additional slots. So no option to upgrade no matter by inserting an additional one or replacing.

The HDMI cable that came with it has a bad connection, so it keeps loosing connection with the TV until I shake the cable. I swapped out the cable from my spectrum box, and then everything was working well. Contacted Amazon, they gave me a 10% discount to cover buying a replacement cable that should be here in 2 days. After reading the reviews I was concerned about fan noise, but I can't even hear the fan running, so those people must have had a bad fan. I was also concerned that the blue light might be too bright next to the TV screen, but it is very subdued. The light is just enough to know the computer is on. I wish it came with Windows 7, but no, stuck with Windows 10 and Cortana yuck, such is life. Over all I am happy with the unit. It took about 10 minutes to get through the initial setup screens.

The device arrived on 5/14/19 and I set it up the same day. I had 2 initial issues, Wifi speed and could not load OneDrive. The WiFi speed was terrible and when trying to change the OneDrive folder location, OneDrive just crashed out. I ran through the full Win10 update process and then everything began to work as expected. The WiFi speed went back to normal (about 120mb/12mb for me) and OneDrive allowed me to change the folder location as expected. It comes with a 64gb SSD and I still have about 51gb free. So far it is running great. I'm still having a slight problem with my wireless mouse lagging, but I think this is a mouse issue, not a problem with the PC. I also connected an external 2T drive to the 3.0 USB port and all is good. I am really happy with the PC's features and the price. I put it on top of my desk and I do hear some fan noise, but no more than you would hear on a laptop.

I bought this mini pc for my daughter for her school work. This is really small, doesn’t occupy too much space on her desk. It looks really cool. The set up and configuration are pretty easy. It connects to Internet through WIFI and the speed is amazing. We are happy with its performance. Cheap PC, good enough for school work. She can take it with her to her friends’ house to do team project and can hook up on the TV do watch movie and play video games. She love it.

I love this PC hand down. That is the one line review. It really insane to think how small this baby has come to be. I love the form factor of this guy, it is very small. You can probably hide it behind your TV and nobody would ever know what are you running. I was bench-marking this to my first mac and it is just a walk in the memory lane how far we have come from those days. The PC is probably just as powerful as your 3-4 years old laptop. The machine comes with 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of on board SSD memory. It has a small Intel Celeron Processor which can clock up-to 2.3 GHz. Apart from that it also has Intel HD500 on board graphic which means you will be able to stream HD content including 4K (although 4K is not the smoothest). I bought a 160GB SSD drive off the market and I was able to install it without any hiccups at all. The seller was king enough to send out an email with all the instructions in it on how to do this. Basically I bought this computer to hook it to my PC and use it to browse 4K content from shady website, and I am not being disappointed. This is perfect for watching video and everyday browsing on big screen. I will highly recommend this to anyone in the market.

This is a great little PC (AK1) that you can use for MANY things. I use it for a media server and media management. I installed Ubuntu 18.10 onto a separate 120gb SSD that fits nicely into the lower trey (that's a sweet idea). So now I can dual boot this PC easily without voiding any warranty because windows 10 is still installed on the main HDD and windows 10 runs very well on this little PC. This PC will suit the needs for most people that don't edit video and a little light gaming. Perfect for media management, HTPC, business apps, etc. Its quiet most of the time, but when you push it the fan kicks in and it is audible in a quiet room, however it is not gaming PC fan loud. Not a deal breaker by any means. boots up fast, everything works even in Ubuntu 18.10 i had no issues with drivers.

This is my first mini PC but definitely won't be the last. It's mind blowing to think about how far we have come with computer, from gigantic mainframe machines to tiny sticks that you can plug directly into your tv and experience full fledge computing experience. These mini PCs are the latest marvels of PC technology and promise everything that your bulky desktop can do, and then some. This particular machine comes with 4GB RAM, 32GB onboard flash memory and runs Intel Celeron J series (Apollo Lake) J3455 processor at 1.50GHz with burst frequency of up to 2.3GHz and Intel HD500 graphics that is quite capable for this price range. Dual band wifi and Bluetooth are included as well. I mainly bought this to play around with this new breed of computers and perhaps use this as a backup server. To say the least, I was not disappointed. It's faster than I had anticipated and runs Windows 10 Home out of the box that you can update with the Creators update. Boot time is lightning quick, thanks to onboard flash and more importantly, ZERO BLOATWARE. I'm currently using it to run the server for UrBackup, connected to my external drive to back up all our devices at home. So far it has exceeded my expectations and been able to handle everything I've thrown at this tiny little box. Bonus: comes with a cool blue light surrounding the copper colored fins at the top, which makes it look like something out of a sci-fi flick.
