I own a very old Casiotone MT 240 Keyboard, likely purchased in the 1980s, and way before USB. I like to use it to capture and create Midi files, and then print sheet music using the (very basic free) Finale Software. I would rather use this keyboard to speed note entry into Finale Files. I am a real amateur, but this little portable and outdated keyboard has been very useful for me. The FORE Red USB IN-OUT enabled a perfect solution for my needs. I cannot say how the FORE USB IN-OUT works on other equipment, as I have not tested other devices. However; The one thing I can say is the FORE Vendor stands behind the product. I had a brief problem and sent an e-mail to FORE. I received an immediate answer and a solution !!!!! I wonder if the few people (and the Negative Reviews you see on Amazon) who could NOT get the FORE USB to communicate took the time to ask FORE for customer service help ?? It was there, just ask. Anyways It was the unselfish help I received that allows me to rate FORE with 5 Stars. Thank you FORE.

I am very happy. About 6 years ago I ordered the following midi cable from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017H4EBG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and played with it a few times over the years but it never worked to quite right. It would randomly play extra notes and miss the notes you were playing. I thought it was a problem with my old Technics PX-203 digital piano. A few days ago I decided I wanted to use my digital piano to help teach my son piano using Yousician and started to do some troubleshooting and research. As part of that research I found that the recommendations from another popular Piano app website, Synthesia, recommended the Creative E-mu Xmidi (https://www.amazon.com/CREATIVE-EMU-XMIDI-MIDI-Interface/dp/B000JLU26W/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1505160119&sr=1-1&keywords=e-mu+midi) and said to seriously avoid the cheap Chinese version listed above. Well i tried out this Fore MIDI interface instead and it works perfectly with my iPad Pro and the Apple USB to lightning adapter with charging capability. Again, I am happy.

Works very well with no latency that I've noticed. Unless you want to wrap the little box with the circuit board in it in electrical tape, this is probably more for home than stage use -- the little window in there isn't just a single status-type LED; sometimes it's a full-on seizure-inducing light show with bright, fast blinking and multiple colors. If you're trying to be the next Skrillex, maybe you're into that.

Worked as advertised. There is a really annoying flashing blue light when you connect the midi connections, but that isn't too much of an issue. As an aside, if you are using this with a microKorg keyboard, the "In" cord goes in the "Out" port of the korg, and the "Out" cord goes into the "In" port on the keyboard. Took me some work to figure that out.

so happy to add a new flashy cord to my growing collection, if you like red cords and like plunging cords into machines with cord receptacle slots that are designed plug cords into then look no further this is definitely the right cord for you.

It was delivered quickly and with great package. When I plugged it into Windows 10 and it installed without any other interaction. Just plug and play. Haven't had a problem with this since I got it. It works flawlessly with my Roland AX-1! This cable solved my issue from my previous cheap midi cord, I used to have a problem where my sustain pedal would activate a key sound in Synthesia, buying this cord solved this issue. Thanks! Just the kind of ease and performance I've come to expect. Works great and would like to recommend. By the way, if you have any question & problem, just contact FORE, they help me a lot. Great product and great customer service, I would like to give 5 stars.

I was looking for a cable to capture MIDI from my Yamaha YDP 141 onto a Windows 10 laptop. At first it seemed like the cables didn't work. I contacted the seller to ask about the problem. The seller responded immediately and suggested that I may have criss-crossed the MIDI In and Out. He also stated that if this didn't fix the problem, he would refund my money, no questions asked. I swapped the cables and it worked like a charm. The seller then followed up to make sure that everything was working fine. So, great cables (no need for downloading drivers) and great support. What is there not to like?

Hooked this up to a 1990's Yamaha PSR 500 and it works perfect now with my new software and computer. Note: It did not work at first until I switched the midi out with the midi in on my keyboard. I think they labeled it backwards or I misunderstand the in and outs of things. I love this device. It brought my 5 pin midi keyboard back to life. You do have to download the drivers to get it to work for windows.

Doesnt work with the main MIDI hardware I purchased it for, the Rockband keyboard. It does work with some other hardware; however the primary hardware I purchased it for is the 25 key Rockband keyboard and that does not recognize it. That keyboard does work with other MIDI interfaces I have though so I know it’s not an issue with the hardware being broken per say. This interface does work with an M-Audio keyboard I have. I was contacted by support regarding my issue, and I have to say they were great. Some of the nicest support and customer service people I have dealt with. 5 star support I will say.
