I bought this for my wife because she couldn't see through the steel one that came with the mixer. Well fixed that didn't I?

I have artisan with glass bowl and wanted extra . This one is actually better . My older one has a plastic ring on its base and my new bowl doesn't , just locks into place beautifully. And it also came with a lid . So one pleased baker !

I love this bowl I have had my mixer for 35 years and I never thought they had a glass bowl. Love it...

I like being able to see the things mixing and know whether they're mixed all the way through to the bottom!

It was a replacement for my original glass bow and they have improved the item ! It works better than my original!

Makes measurements much easier while in use. Easy to read lines. LOVE the lid!

This gift was well received and she is enjoying using it.

I really like being able to see the bottom of the bowl from the outside, so that I can be sure that everything is thoroughly mixed. It is a nice weight, not too fragile, and, as with any glass item, more care is needed in its handling, but I washed it in the dishwasher, and it was fine. I don't plan to use it for making heavier things like bread dough, however. The embossed measurement markings on its sides are a plus, and no special gasket is needed to attach it to the mixer base.

Kitchen aide came with a metal bowl. Needed a replacement bowl because I couldn’t seem to get all the machine grease out. This fit great. Lid works. Feels as sturdy as previous glassware I’ve used. Not broken after 15+cakes and various whipped potatoes. Little heavy. Especially when full. But glass, so don’t want fragility. Pour spout will dribble no matter what technique you think has started to work. Did use for a giant gelatin mold and turned out great.

The clear glass makes is easier to verify that all of the ingredients are Incorporated. The handle makes it easier to pour the contents and scrape the bowl. Things I did not like: First the bowl had to be held in place while mixing using the rubberised mixing paddle. The bowl became loose in the holder. Also the bowl is heavy making it a little hard to manage. I have small hands so this may be a problem for those with larger hands.
